1 - Jado and Tama Tonga vs. Kosei Fujita and David Finlay

Tama forces Fujita to tap out to a Scorpion Death Lock.

2 - Royce Isaacs and Tom Lawlor vs. Great O-Khan and Will Ospreay

Ospreay came out with both IWGP U.S. and Rev Pro British belts.  He was still pouting from losing to Finlay earlier in the week.

Isaacs taps out to O-Khan's Sheep Killer.

3 - BUSHI, SANADA and Shingo Takagi vs. TAKA Michinoku, Zack Sabre Jr. and Lance Archer

SANADA forces TAKA to tap out to Skull End.

4 - YOSHI-HASHI, Toru Yano, Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto and Kazuchika Okada vs. Gedo, El Phantasmo, Bad Luck Fale, KENTA and Jay White

Yano hits a double low blow on Fale and Gedo.  Yano rolls up Gedo for a pin.

Tom Lawlor joins Kevin Kelly on English commentary.

G1 Climax Matches:

5 - D Block:  Juice Robinson vs. Yujiro Takahashi, with Pieter

SHO comes to the ring with Yujiro.  

SHO and Yujiro offer the Two Sweet Salute.  Juice tells SHO to get out of the ring.  House of Torture insist they are all on the same team.  Juice goes for the Two Sweet and kicks SHO in the gut and tosses him from the ring.  Juice and Yujiro brawl in the ring and battle to floor.  Yujiro bumps hard against the guardrail.  Juice cannot put Yujiro away and screams obscenities at the referee.  Yujiro hits Pimp Juice.  Two count.  Juice hits right punch and goes for Pulp Friction.   SHO jumps on the ring apron.  Juice with an O'Conner Roll.  Yujiro kicks out and pushes Juice toward the ropes.  SHO tries to hit Juice with the wrench, but Juice takes it away.  Yujiro rolls up Juice for a pin.  Two count.  Juice still has the wrench but the referee takes it away.  Yujiro pushes Juice into the referee who bumps.  Yujiro hits Juice with his Pimp Stick in the gut and in the head.  Yujiro hits Big Juice on Juice.

Yujiro pins Juice

Yujiro Takahashi earns 2 points and is tied for second in the D Block.

6 - B Block:  Taichi, with Miho Abe vs. Chase Owens

Taichi challenges Owens to a Sumo style start to the match.  Owens attacks Taichi and they fight to the floor.  Owens chokes out Taichi with cables. Taichi fights back with Kawada-style kicks.  Owens pounds on Taichi's ribs. Owens tells Miho to kiss him.  She tells him to shut up.  Owens punches Taichi in the face and neck.  He goes to the outside and demands a kiss from Miho.  She tells him "No".   Owens goes back in the ring and tells her, "This is your fault."  Owens hits a C-Trigger to Taichi's head.  Owens goes for the pin and pulls up Taichi at two.  Owens points at Miho and puts Taichi on the middle rope.  He goes for another C-Trigger but Taichi moves.  Taichi hits a boot to the face.  Taichi hits a jumping high kick.  Owens is dazed. Taichi is selling his neck.  Owens tells Taichi that he is sorry.   Taichi tries to cave in Owens' chest with kicks.  Taichi drops Owens with a hook kick.  They exchange strikes.  Taichi hits an Axe Bomber and a Dangerous Backdrop.  Owens with a Super Kick.  They trade near falls.   Owens with  Shining Wizard.   Two count.  Taichi avoids an Owens Knee from the top rope.  They both hit kicks and drop to the mat.  Owens pops up and hits Taichi with sumo open hand strikes.  He dares Taichi to attack.  Taichi charges and Owens hit another C-Trigger.  They reverse out of each other's finishers.  Taichi throws Owens with a sumo take down.  Owens hits a back elbow.  Taichi knocks out Owens with a right punch.  Taichi hits Black  Mephisto.

Taichi pins Owens. 

Taichi earns 2 points and is tied for second place in the B Block.

7 - C Block:  Tetsuya Naito vs. Aaron Henare

Henare wants to fight and starts with strikes to Naito's body.  Naito uses his speed to avoid the strikes.  They go to the floor and brawl, throwing each other against the guardrails. Back in the ring, Naito slows it down and attacks and works over Henare's neck.  Naito goes for Destino but Henare reverses into a Bezerker Bomb.  Both men are gassed.  Henare gets to his feet and charges at Naito.  Naito kicks Henare away.  Naito throws a wicked open hand slap to Henare's face.  Henare does not go down.   He just gets pissed.  Naito smiles as he is proud of himself.  As he turns around, Henare throws a roundhouse kick to the head.   Henare with a senton off the ropes.  Henare goes for Ultima, but Naito quickly reverses out and hits kicks to the head.  Henare is able to absorb the blows and applies Ultima again.  Naito is able to get to the ropes.  Henare tells the referee to call the match for him.  The referee checks on Naito and he is able to continue.   Henare pounds on Naito and lifts him into a Streets of Rage.   Naito reverses into a modified Destino.  Henare kicks out at two.  Naito picks up Henare and hits a clean Destino.

Naito pins Henare.

Tetsuya Naito earns 2 points and is in a four way tie for the lead in the C Block.

8 - A Block:  JONAH vs. Jeff Cobb

The two monsters tried for power attacks on each other.  The battled all around ringside.  Cobb hammers JONAH with chops and fists.  He picks up JONAH in a back suplex position and throws him over his head.  Crowd pops.  JONAH lands hard on the mat.   Insane power by Cobb.  Cobb hits a drop kick.  Cobb goes for a Tour of the Islands, but JONAH hits a spear.  JONAH misses an avalanche.  JONAH hits an elbow in Cobb's face.  JONAH climbs to the second rope and tries a body press.  Cobb catches JONAH and lifts him for a powerslam.  Using his momentum, JONAH pulls Cobb over into a pin.  Two count.  JONAH with a lariat.   Two count.  JONAH hits a superplex from the top rope.  Wow!  Another big pop from the crowd.  JONAH comes off the top rope with a Torpedo.

JONAH pins Cobb.

JONAH earns 2 points and is in a 3 way tie for second place in the A Block.

Wow!  Big win for JONAH.   Bigger loss for Cobb who has now lost singles matches to Okada and JONAH in the G1.  Cobb is not in a downward spiral, but he has lost the IWGP Tag Titles twice this year and now these G1 matches.   JONAH's star is on the rise in New Japan.  JONAH will face Okada on Sunday.

9 - C Block:  Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. EVIL

They take the match to floor quickly.  EVIL bounces Tanahashi against the guardrail.  EVIL goes after Tanahashi's leg, with Togo's help.  EVIL locks in the Darkness Scorpion.  Tanahashi fights back with a Dragon Screw.  Tanahashi traps EVIL in a Texas Cloverhold.  Togo grabs the timekeeper hammer and rings the bell.   Tanahashi lets go of the hold thinking he won.  Togo screams that he did not win.  The referee ejects Togo from ringside.  They exchange strikes and power moves.   EVIL with lariat and goes for Everything is Evil.   Tanahashi reverses and hits Twist and Shout.  Tanahashi hits three Slingblades.  Tanahashi hits a High Fly Flow.  Tanahashi goes for the pin, but SHO pulls the referee out of the ring. SHO stomps on Tanahashi and hits a German suplex.   Togo comes back to the ring with another referee.  EVIL covers Tanahashi but he kicks out at two.  EVIL and Togo set up Tanahashi for a Magic Killer.  A referee pulls Togo out of the ring. Another referee comes in the ring, Tanahashi lifts EVIL on the referee's shoulders and hits a Magic Killer.  SHO comes into the ring with his wrench and fights Tanahashi over the weapon.  Togo comes in with his piano wire.  Tanahashi kicks him low.  SHO gets a low blow.  EVIL comes with a low blow on Tanahashi.  No referee is there for the count.  EVIL drags a referee in the ring.  EVIL hits Darkness Falls.  Tanahashi kicks out at two.  EVIL goes for Everything is Evil.  Tanahashi counters into a Ground Cobra.

Tanahashi pins EVIL.

Hiroshi Tanahashi earns 2 points and leads the C Block with 6 points.   

Good match.  Tanahashi was able to outsmart all of the House of Torture nonsense and get the win.
