WB DISCOVERY TO RELEASE EARNINGS TODAY, PROVIDE FUTURE INSIGHT INTO ADDITIONAL PLANS & CUTBACKS - WHERE JOHN CENA'S PEACEMAKER STANDS

Warner Bros. Discovery is expected to reveal future plans and additional expected cutbacks today as part of their quarterly earnings report and subsequent media call.  WBD is AEW's broadcast partner as they now own TBS and TNT.  The earnings will be released after the close of the stock market today followed bu a media call at 4:30 PM EST.

WBD has made a lot of waves with recent moves including the decision to drop planned DC Comics streaming film Batgirl despite the fact that the entire filming was completed and that the film was in post production, seeking to get a tax break instead of releasing the $90 million film.

With all the waves being made by the cuts and the expected deep cuts and possible demise of the HBO Max streaming service itself, there has been concern online for fans of John Cena's Peacemaker series, also based on a DC Comics character.  In response to a fan on Twitter, Writer and Director James Gunn stated that the second season of "Peacemaker" will begin filming in 2023 and is safe.
