If all of these allegations are proven true how can this not end with Vince being forced out? It shouldn’t matter that he has majority power in the company or that he thinks he’s a Teflon don he’s not above anything with his actions.
In his case he could be due to his control of the voting stock. Now, if they family were to break that up and side against him, then it could get interesting.
In your opinion, who has done a better job of doing cross-promotion, AEW or Impact? AEW has their Forbidden Door, which has a much bigger audience and footprint to viewers. But what should feel like a huge deal, it just feels like they have wrestlers from other promotions coming in as a one-time deal with little build. If they don't come back or work a storyline after the PPV, what is the point? With Impact, wrestlers come back on and off each week and are integrated into the storyline where the line is blurred whether they are signed there or not (Mickie James, The Briscoes, Honor No More, etc.) Even Impact sharing their wrestlers blurs the lines of their actual talent being theirs (Good Brothers, Matt Cardona, etc.). And If I'm counting correctly, Impact is doing business with way more promotions (AEW, NWA, GCW, MLW, New Japan, and technically WWE and ROH by name).
I was no interested at all in Forbidden Door and the shows leading up to it so for me, I would go with Impact. But it’s definitely a “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” deal.
Why isn’t the WWE title defended more? Has anyone noticed that it it's only been defended once since Mania and at no PPVs? It used to always be defended at PPVs no matter who had the title. Cena, Rock, Austin, HHH etc always were defending it on PPVs. Is this a Vince call or Roman cutting back his schedule thing?
To a degree a mix of both. If Roman is working dates you can’t have him defend the Title. With that said, look at all of the times Brock Lesnar held the Title and wasn't appearing very often. Vince has made it pretty clear that the 30 day rule is a thing of the past.
What will it take to permanently end the “what” chants?
Sewing the fans' mouths shut is probably the only way. As long as WWE gives their talents boring verbiage to recite, there will be WHAT chants.
Based on Tony Khan logic that Takeshita gets a title eliminator match against Moxley by looking good in defeat, shouldn't Eddie Kingston get a title eliminator match by looking great and winning? Also does it make sense for a winless Takeshita to get a title eliminator match in first place?
I agree 100 percent. The eliminator concept is bizarre to me. “Hey random guy with losses up and down the board, here’s your shot at the champ!” It makes no sense. Why should someone who only loses get a Title shot? And what if he beats the champ? His first win is against the champ? That’s just bizarre to me. Eps and I talked about it a lot on Saturday’s FMB show.
