It is Friday and AEW Rampage was recorded after Dynamite in the Enmarket Arena in Savanna Georgia and it is night two of Fyter Fest. The commentary team is Jim Ross, Excalibur, Chris Jericho, and Tony Schiavone.
Kings of the Black Throne (Malakai Black and Brody King) vs Dark Order (John Silver and Alex Reynolds)
As is traditional for Rampage, we start with everyone already in the ring.
Black starts with Reynolds. They lock up and Reynolds is able to get an arm bar on Black. Black works his way free and they have a display of chain wrestling with Reynolds getting a two count. Reynolds goes to the ropes and Black kicks him hard and covers for a two count.
King tags in and after tossing Reynolds to the corner. Reynolds escapes and tags in Silver. They lock up with King tossing him back. They lock up again, and then start running the ropes with Silver finally getting a shoulder tackle, and King is able to return the favor. Silver gets a kick and gets a one count. All four men are in the ring and Dark Order knocks House of Black to the floor. When they go to join them, King is able to slam Reynolds on the apron as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Reynolds starts to fight his way free from Black. Reynolds avoids a kick and gets a quick rollup on Black for a two count. He then tags in Silver. Silver dodges Black and lands a haymaker on King, followed by Black, who misses Silver and takes out King. Silver is able to get an uppercut charge on Black. He gets a two count with a cover.
Reynolds is tagged in, Silver and Reynolds charge Black, who fights them off. Black is tagged in and they take out Reynolds with a combination Boot from Black and a lariat from King after they miss a pair of attacks on Reynolds. Reynolds kicks out after two. Black tries for a moonsault on Silver outside the ring, but Silver dodges it and shoves him into the barricade. Silve then comes in the ring and stops King from delivering a Gonzo Bomb. They double team King until Silver gets a German Suplex on King and covers for a two count, broken up by Black.
Black gets the back heel kick on Silver and King hiits Dante’s Inferno on Reynolds for the three count.
Winners: Kings of the House of Black
As they go up the ramp, Sting and Darby Allin attack, with Darby on King’s back and then through the crowd, while Black and Sting stare each other down.
We then get a video message from Miro.
Bobby Cruise, from Ring of Honor does the announcing.
Jonathan Gresham (Ring Of Honor Champion) w/Tully Blanchard vs Lee Moriarty w/Matt Sydal
Caprice Coleman joins commentary.
They shake hands and then when the bell rings, Lee takes Gresham down and starts pounding him. Gresham rolls to the outside to escape and then comes back in to get a series of kicks and strikes from Lee. He rolls to the outside and Lee follows him and keeps up the attack. They brawl on the floor with Lee getting the upper hand.
Lee tosses Gresham into the ring, and Gresham hits a boot to the midsection as the ref was trying to get Lee to back off in the corner. Gresham starts working over Lee’s left arm. Gtresham tosses some of the tape on his wrists to the mat and the ref tosses it out of the ring. As he does, Gresham goes to chop Lee in the chest, stops and instead gives him a chop in the yam bag.
I’m just helping out Taz here by using his phrase since he’s no longer on Rampage.
Gresham goes back to attacking the arm. The have a quick greco roman knuckle lock and Gresham quickly moves to pick the ankle and drop Lee, and tries for a pin, but doesn’t get it. Gresham keeps Lee down with a series of headlock takeovers, dropping him whenever he tries to get up, leading to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Gresham has wrapped up Lee’s arm with his legs,and was able to grab the other arm and pull back, trapping Lee. Gresham then grabs his leg and pulls it back as well. He switches it to a pin and Lee kicks out at two. Lee is able to escape and comes off the ropes with a kick to Gresham’s face. Lee then goes after Gresham’s arm and hits a suplex on Gresham and then holds him for a series of kee strikes. Gresham is able to get a drop kick and then a bridge suplex for a two count.
Both men struggle to get up.
Gresham is able to grab Lee’s arm and goes back to work on it. Gresham gets a Crucifix for a two count. Lee reverses it for a roll up and a two count. Gresham gets a hurricanrana and goes for a pin, but Lee reverses it for a two count. Gresham locks on the octopus and Lee has to tap out.
Winner and still Ring of Honor Champion: Jonathan Gresham.
Tony Schiavone goes to the ring to get a word with Gresham and Blanchard. Gresham says we will see his face on TV every week because he will out class and out wrestle all of your favorites. Tully then says that Gresham took people to school just like they did in their day.
Claudio Castagnoli then comes out and stands on the stage, and the announcers say he is calling out Gresham.
Kris Statlander and Athena vs Charlotte and Robyn Renegade
Kris and Athena start off before the bell with a pair of drop kicks on the twins. They put together a bunch of other team moves before the bell. Athena then hits a leaping DDT and pins Charlette for the pin.
Winners: Kris Statlander and Athena
Leila Grey gets on the apron to yell at them, and she gets pulled into the ring and as they set her up for a Doomsday Machine, Jade Cargill and Keira Hogan rush the ring and take them out.
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and asks the Gunn Boys and Billy Gunn what happened between them and The Acclaimed. Billy says he treated them as good as his own kids, maybe better,m but there comes a time when Daddy Ass has to drop the hammer. The Acclaimed charge the ring and Billy says they can settle this. He then asks Bowen to scissor him, and Bowens attacks him. All four men start to fight and the Acclaimed are standing tall when it’s done. They challenge the Ass Boys to a match and the Ass Boys say No.
We move to the main event interview with Mark Henry, and Private Party congratulates Andrade on his wedding and Penta calls Andrade a piece of trash.
Private Party vs The Lucha Brothers
Penta gets shoved into Private Party’s corner and they double team him there.
Penta tags in Fenix
Private Party dodges kicks from the Lucha Bros and kick them out of the ring and then leap onto them on the floor.
Ray is rolled in and he is able to get a cutter on Marc Quen
Penta is tagged in and they couple team them until Fenix is tossed from the ring.
Private Party gets the Silly String and we go to picture in picture
When we return to full screen, Penta fights out of the Private Party corner with a tag toi Fenix who cleans house.
Fenix rips Isiah Kassidy’s shirt off for chops and then they fight on the top. Quen pulls Fenix off and Kassidy hits a crossbody for a two count.
Quen tags in and they double team Fenix, and then Quen distracts the ref with his leap across Fenix’s throat.
Kassidy tags in and they keep Fenix in their corner.
Fenix is able to roll away during a tag, and Private Party swarms Penta when he falls off the ropes.
Penta hits a death valley driver and a made in Japan for a two count.
Jose throws his table into the ring to occupy the referee.
Private Party sets up Penta with him across Kassidy’s knees as Quen hits a 450 splash on him and the covers for a two count
Fenix has not been able to get up due to his leg being hurt
Penta tries for a Fear Factor but a fight starts outside the ring, allowing Andrade to hit a kick on Penta.
Rush runs to the ring and nails Penta with a blind side shot.
Fenix is up and tags in, hitting a black fire driver on Quen and covers for the three
Winners: The Lucha Brothers
Private Party is upset with Rush and Andrade has to keep them apart, and we are desperately out of time!
