Following the conclusion of tonight's MLW Kings of Colloseum broadcast, MLW will take a break with their new "season" of programming beginning to air this September. That would feature content from the Battle Riot IV event in NYC from several weeks ago as well as their August El Paso, Texas debut. In the meantime, BeIn Sport will be airing best of episodes and there will be new "All Access" style episodes focusing on talents and storylines.
Richard Holliday continues to be out of action after suffering a concussion during a Falls Count Anywhere match with Alexander Hammerstone in NYC. Holliday was actually slated to appear in the Battle Riot later that evening but was held out by a doctor. MLW had to rebook the match on the fly, at one point sending two of Cesar Duran's minions out at the same time to make up for the lost competitor in Holliday. PWInsider.com wishes Holliday the best.
There's talk of MLW adding some house shows when they resume touring. The promotion usually brings talents in for several days in order to do pre-tapes the day before or after their TV tapings, so adding even small shows would alleviate some of that cost and also give talents more days to work.
MLW Champion Hammerstone may be defending the title in Europe as the promotion is talking with Italian and French promoters about Hammerstone working over there and defending the title. Hammerstone just worked the World Series Wrestling tour in Australia.
The promotion is hoping to make a few more announcements over the course of the summer following their extended relationship with BeIN Sport, UK TV and action figure deal announcements.
With Mance Warner back, his merchandise has returned to MLWShop.com. MLW’s YouTube channel will stream an anthology episode spotlighting Mance next week, after a fan tweeted a request several days ago.
