It is Wednesday and AEW is in the Enmarket Arena in Savanna Georgia for night one of Fyter Fest. The commentary team is Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schaivone.
Wardlow (TNT Champion) vs Orange Cassidy
Seems like a weird first challenger for Wardlow.
Cassidy calls for a Greco-Roman knuckle lock and insteads goes for his pockets. When Cassidy takes his hands out of his pockets, Wardlow rips the pockets out of Cassidy’s pants. Cassidy then puts Wardlow’s straps back up. Cassidy dodges a clothesline and goes for his spinning DDT. Wardlow tries to set up for a power bomb, and Cassidy sneaks out from under.
The Best Friends try to cheat with Trent distracting the ref and Chuck putting a chainsaw in the ring. The ref ejects them from ringside. Cassidy tries an orange punch and Wardlow catches him. Cassidy does the soft kicks. Wardlow charges Cassidy, who dodges and Wardlow goes to the outside.
Cassidy leaps onto Wardlow and tries to run Wardlow into the post, and Wardlow stops before he hits. Wardlow reaches under the ring and pulls out Danhausen. Cassidy is able to land an Orange Punch as the shenanigans are going on. When Cassidy tries to follow up, Wardlow tosses him over with a bully to back suplex and we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Cassidy drives Wardlow’s head into the top turnbuckle repeatedly. Cassidy tries for a cross body and gets caught. Cassidy drops down and hits a chop block and then shoves Wardlow to the corners. Cassidy is able to get a pair of spinning DDTs and a one count.
Cassidy misses an Orange Punch and Wardlow hits a F10 for a two count. Wardlow hefts Cassidy up for for a power bomb, and Cassidy rains down blows. Cassidy hits a Hurricanrana and then on the outside, Cassidy shoves Wardlow into the ring post. Cassidy is able to get in Stundog Millionaire, an Orange Punch and a Beach break and covers for a two count. Cassidy runs for an Orange Punch, but Wardlow catches him, power bombs him down and covers for the three.

Wardlow picks up Cassidy and gives him a fist bump.
We then get a video package of Pac defending the All Atlantic Championship in Rev Pro against Shota Umino.
It’s time for Chris Jericho to answer Eddie Kingston’s barbed wire death match challenge. Jericho says that Eddie says every drop of blood would be for his friends, but Eddie’s friends get beaten. He then says he had Canada’s first barbed wire match back when he was 21. Jericho says next week, Eddie is meeting the Painmaker. Jericho says he is accepting the challenge because this is their last match. Jericho says the only thing that can wash away his sins is a tidal wave of Eddie’s blood.
We come back to Eddie with Ruby and Ortiz and he says Jericho is going to pay with every match of his blood.
Jon Moxley vs Konosuke Takeshida in a World Title Eliminator Match
William Regal joins commentary.
They start with a greco roman knuckle lock. Mox turns it into an arm bar. IT becomes a head lock and they then run the ropes. This turns into slaps and Mox hits a side headlock takedown. They get to their feet and trade chops. Takeshita goes to the ropes and Mox takes him down with a clothesline. After a two count, Mox locks on a submission and Takeshida gets to the ropes. They move to brawl on the apron.
Takeshida hits a German suplex on the apron. They then throw hands on the floor before returning to the ring. Mox hits a boot on Takeshida and Takeshida goes to the floor and we go picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Takeshida is busted open. Mox stomps on his face. Mox then pulls him up and Takeshida hits a series of forearms. He then comes off the ropes hitting Mox with a leaping clothesline. Takeshida tosses Mox to the corner and then hits a running boot. He then hits a sheer drop brain buster on Mox for a two count. Takeshida goes to the top and goes for a frog splash, but Mox gets his knees up and then grabs a chinlock.
Mox gets the cross arm breaker, and Takeshida gets to the rope for a break. Takeshida gets a forearm and then a hurricanrana. Mox goes to the outside and Takeshida leaps onto Mox. He tosses Mox into the ring for a frog splash off the top and a two count. They get to their feet and trade forearms. Mox is able to get a sleeper and Takeshida reverses it to a Blue Thunder Bomb. Both men have shoulders down for a two. Mox gets a paradigm shift and follows with hammer and anvil elbows.
Mox goes for the death rider and Takeshida reverses it and hits a bridging German Suplex for a two count. He tries for a straight jacker German but Mox head butts his way out and then hits a Death Rider. Mox hits the hammer and anvil elbows and locks on the rear choke. Takeshida taps out.

The House of Black has a video challenging Darby Allin.
Christian Cage is out next. He is joined by Luchasaurus. He then makes fun of the Varsity Blondes, who are already in the ring. He then says that Brian Pillman was average at best and he would be appalled that his last act is Brain Pillman Jr. He then makes fun of Griff’s picture from social media for looking like Jungle Boy. When he tells that to Luchasaurus, Luchasaurus charges to the ring.
Luchasaurus vs Griff Garrison
Luchasaurus just beats down Griff for two minutes, giving a pair of choke slams and then locks on his new finishing move The Tar Pit and Griff taps out.
Winner: Luchasaurus
Luchasaurus puts PIllman on the timekeepers’s table and then chokeslams Griff into Pillman twice, breaking the table.
In the back, Tony Schiavone is with the Jericho Appreciation Society to ask about how they will be locked in a shark cage. They are upset about this.
Tony is in the back with Adam Page. John Silver and Reynolds call out the House of Black for Rampage on Friday.

Jake Hager vs Claudio Castagnolli
William Regal is back with them.
Claudio gets a running uppercut and goes for the slam. Jake escapes and then escapes the big swing and goes to the outside. Claudio follows him and Jake tosses him into the ring. They counter each other until Jake is in the ropes, and Claudio hits a 619 into him and gets a two count.
They move to fight in the corner. Claudio gets a bulldog and a two count. Claudio slams Jakes head into the turnbuckle pad. Claudio goes to the top, and Jake is able to stop him with a strike and then hits a double leg off the top. He then nails Claudio with body shots in the corner and follows with a Hager bomb and a two count as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Hager hits a suplex and a two count. Hager hits a short clothesline, but misses the second and Claudio hits a springboard uppercut off the second rope. They then trade blows in the middle of the ring, and Claudio is able to hit upper cuts and a drop kick, and they go to the floor. Claudio hits a running uppercut into the barricade.
He tosses Hager into the ring and goes to the top. Claudio hits a diving crossbody for a two count. Claudio is able to get the giant swing. He then locks in the scorpion death lock. Hager calls for help and as the JAS comes to the ring, Claudio takes a swing at them. Hager hits a side slam for a two count. Hager puts on the ankle lock.
Claudio rolls through and kicks his way free. Claudio suplexes Hager and goes for the scorpion death lock. He has to attack the JAS on the apron again. Claudio hits an uppercut on Hager and hits the Ricola bomb and covers for the three.
Winner: Claudio Castignoli
Lexi is in the back with Hook, and she asks if a title shot is in his future. He walks off.
We then get a video package of Thunder Rosa losing a eliminator match in Japan showing that Yamashda has earned a title shot on Dynamite. Rosa then talks about how she and Toni Storm will take on anyone. Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter step up to answer the challenge.
Serena Deeb vs Anna Jay
They trade holds quickly to start the match with neither getting an advantage. Jay tries for the Queenslayer and Deeb gets to the ropes and breaks the hold. Deeb hits a twisted neckbreaker for a two count. We go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Anna is fighting back with strikes and then a sling blade. Anna hits a Northern Light suplex for a two count. She tries the Queenslayer and Deeb is able to reverse it into a pin for a two count. Deeb does a series of spins, but Anna is able to get a back body drop. Deeb reverses it to a pin for a tow count. Deeb then locks on a submission hold where she is almost sitting on Anna’s head, but Anna reverses out of it. Anna misses an attack in the corner, and Deeb hits a dragon screw intyhje ropes. Deeb goes to the pin, but Anna is able to lock on the Queenslayer. Deeb is able to arm drag out of it and puts on the Serenity lock and Anna has to tap out.
Winner: Serena Deeb
Deeb refuses to release the hold, so Mercedes Martinez is able to toss Deeb off to the floor.
We then go to the back where Jade is still irritated by Leila Grey. Stokely Hathaway says they will be taking on Kris Statlander and Athena.
Tony is in the back with Anna Jay and Tay Conti shows up to make fun of her. Tay says she make better choices for her career
Young Bucks (AEW Tag Team Champions) vs Team Taz (Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs) vs Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee
What kind of match is it? You know it, a bullet point match.
Lee and Matt start out with Matt dodging Lee’s moves,m,including a leaping spin kick
Swerve and Nick tag in and NIck hits an escalera, and Swerve cartwheels out of it.
They go to the floor, both try to drop kick each other and miss.
In the ring, Nick puts on an arm bar on Swerve.
Starks is able to tag in and he and Nick walk to ropes, slap each other and drop onto the ropes, crocheting themselves.
“Yam bag Jones”
Starks takes three Northern Light Suplexes from Matt, and then he adds Swerve to it.
Lee and Hobbs come in and hit a stalling vertical suplex on Matt
Lee and Swerve work over Matt in their corner as Swerve tags in
Matt is able to drop kick Lee out of the ring.

Starks and Hobbs double team Swerve as we go picture in picture
When we return to full screen, the Bucks are working over Swerve, but he is able to get up from their double suplex and hits them with a split kick.
Swerve tags Lee
The tag team siren goes off and everyone is in the right with Lee taking out everyone.
Hobbs and Starks trip Lee and drag him out of the ring.
Nick leaps into Lee’s arms and Lee tosses him into Matt in the ring
Hobbs tags in and it’s time for a hoss fight
They trader shoulder tackles and then cross bodies and both men are down
They climb to the top and Hobbs head butts Lee down.
Hobbs hits a frog splash on Lee for a two count
Nick tags in and Starks is then tagged in
Starks walks the ropes with NIck on Hobbs’s shoulder and then hits a cutter from the top for a two count
Swerve tags in and hits a quick series of moves on Nick.
The Bucks take out Swerve and Lee with super kicks
Starks joins in for another superkick on Lee
The Bucks take out Starks
REF BUMP
Matt brings in a belt and Starks hits a superkick
Swerve takes out Starks and grabs the tile and looks at Lee.
He tosses the belt down and gets a low blow from Matt, and then Matt fo9llows up with belt shots
Matt gets a two count on Swerve.
Bucks hit the BTE trigger on Swerve
Starks breaks up the pin at two
Swerve hits a Swerve Stomp on Matt foe a two
It’s broken up by Starks and Hobbs and Hobbs power bombs everyone
Swerve and Starks trade moves with Starks hitting a spear for a two count.
Lee tosses the Bucks and Hoobs out of the ring.
Starks hits a kick on Lee’s head
Swerve leaps onto the Bucks and Team Taz on the outside.
Lee then leaps onto them outside the ring
Swerve hits the Swerve Stomp on Starks and covers for the three count
