Match 1: Speedball Mike Bailey(c) vs Alan Angels (for the X-Division Championship)
Whaaaaaaaaaaat?!? Angels is making his debut against Speedball in a title match?!? Yes please. Speedball got his knees wrecked last Friday at Against All Odds. Handshake…Angels slaps the champ. Good speedy start, Bailey stuns Angels with a boot and unloads a flurry of kicks to the triangle moonsault! Angels drops the champ, apron frog splash to the floor! Alan landing hard but can’t put Speedball down. Northern Lights, kick out! Angels off the top, Speedball hits a superkick! Speedball throwing more kicks but it’s clear he’s hurting on that leg. Corkscrew shooting star for two! He misses Ultima Weapon! Angels with a double stomp to the back, Bailey dodges the wing snapper. Running Spanish fly! Trading reversals, Angels with a halo breaker! Kick out! He tries the wing snapper again. Speedball with a rollup! Angels catches him on the top, Angels misses the flamingo driver! Wing snapper! Kick out! Angels whiffs off the top! The tornado kick and Ultima Weapon puts Angels away in an absolute opening BANGER. Huge respect from the champ to his very game challenger.

Deaner and Joe Doering hit the ring to attack Speedball and Angels! Big shoulder blocks from Big Joe. Deaner gets the mic. It’s not over for Josh Alexander and they demand the Impact Champion get out here. Music hits….it’s Eric Young! The VBD head hasn’t been seen since Slammiversary and he doesn’t look thrilled with his stablemates. “What happened?” This wasn’t part of Young’s grand design. Deaner said he thought this would be what Young wanted. If Young failed, wouldn’t it make sense for Doering to be able to bring it home instead. Young says that Doering was undefeated under his watch. He says the sickness has infected Deaner & Doering and like everyone else, they may be useless too. Deaner panics and quickly agrees that Young is speaking the truth….the truth is clear, Young is the designer and they need a chance to prove themselves. Young agrees but says the world no longer belongs to them…it belongs to him. Cracks a’forming hard in VBD.
Backstage with Honor No More. They are angry that they get screwed over and over again. Impact doesn’t believe in them and fights them every step of the way. Against All Odds was a setback and they can’t tolerate failure. Eddie Edwards calls out PCO and demands that he show them tonight that failure is no longer an option.
Interview with Deonna Purrazzo, who has a fight with Mia Yim in the main event tonight. Deonna says Mia was looking for a rub from the Virtuosa. They run into Gail Kim, who says that Chelsea has a match next week with Mickie James…and everyone is banned from ringside…as is the main event tonight. Deonna and Chelsea are furious.
Match 2: Laredo Kid vs Trey Miguel
After a long string of talking, we fire back up with more X division action! Brief feeling out, Kid with a good tilt a whirl facebuster that drops Trey on that wounded knee as well. Trey with a one legged moonsault to the floor shows he can push through the pain. Kid with a single leg crab after Trey whiffs a double stomp. Whip to the back with Trey’s belt. Trey has the knee wrapped and Laredo is targeting it. Trey fires up, one leg Kip up! One foot stomp! Kick out! Crowd firing up behind Trey! Laredo with a Michanoku driver! Kick out! Trading chops, Trey with a corkscrew neckbreaker and gets the three!
Winner: Trey Miguel
Deaner and Joe Doering are hunting down Josh Alexander backstage. They run into the motor city machine guns. Fight breaks out. Security breaks it up as Josh Alexander arrives and dares VBD to come at him. Note: there’s no Eric Young here.

Backstage with America’s Most Wanted. Chris Harris says that if this was their last ride, he went out the way he wanted. James Storm? He might show up somewhere…but first, he has a beer to drink. Storm in his dressing room, Steve Maclin is waiting for him. He thought Against All Odds was his retirement match? Storm challenges Mackin for next week.
Match 3: PCO (w/ Vincent) vs Black Taurus (w/ Crazzy Steve)
Big clash of monsters here. Taurus is holding the advantage early but PCO sends him outside, Suicide cannonball crashes them into the barricade! Deanimator! Taurus is hurting but kicks out and gets a foot up! Sling blades! Top rope elbow! PCO kicks out! Taurus goes for a senton but whiffs. PCO hits a reverse ddt and lands the PCOsault for the win! Honor No More hit the ring to applaud their Frankenstein. They look to attack Black Taurus and Crazzy Steve but Heath hits the ring and drops Kenny King! Heath flies out into the crowd, having gotten one back for Rhyno.
Winner: PCO
Backstage with Bullet Club. Ace Austin is ready to join the big boys with some club business. Bey says they’ll take on HNM next week.
Backstage with Brian Myers. He is walking with his new Digital Media Championship. Zicky Dice & Johnny Swinger wants shots. So does Bhupinder Gujjar. Myers says they should have a contender’s match next week.
Match 4: Shera (w/ Raj Singh) vs Rich Swann
Swann is used to having the size disadvantage. Shera double chokes him up in the air. Swann throwing punches that do nothing. Backbreaker And a press slam leave the former Impact Champion struggling for air. Swann finally gets a shot in! Cannonball out to Singh! Head kicks to Shera! The Lion roaring through them. Swann hits another and finishes with a 450 to get the W!
Winner: Rich Swann
Backstage with the Influence. Tenille Dashwood is still freaked out by the photo Masha Slamovich gave her at Against All Odds. Gisele Shaw says this might be her fault but that it means Masha is planning to kill Tenille.
Backstage with Rosemary & Taya Valkyrie. They are still champions but they took a beating. Rosemary is furious that Havok left them hanging. Rosemary says she has to go to the Undead realm to find Havok. Taya wants to come too. Rosemary tries to warn her off but Taya says she’s backing up her friends. Rosemary says they go next week.
Main Event: Deonna Purrazzo vs Mia Yim (Partners barred from ringside, #1 contender’s match)
Deonna thinks she is going to ace this, Mia Yim is alllllll over the Virtuosa. Deonna is getting frustrated and finally get an arm around Mia and pops her shoulder with a boot. Deonna giving the heat and twisting up Yim’s limbs. Mia blasts a headbutt that drops them both. They barely make the 10 count to their feet. Slugging back and forth. Yim hitting a series of kicks and dropkicks! Yakuza kick! Cannonball! Kick out! Code Blue doesn’t get it done! Deonna fighting back, holding Yim and throwing what hands she has left. Trading kicks and knees on the ropes. Deonna with a side Russian to the armbar…Mia’s blocking! Roll up for two! Deonna hits Queen’s Gambit! Kickout! Mia hits a powerbomb and a package piledriver! Deonna kicks out! They lock up to throw hands again. Deonna rages with a slap, Yim fires up, Drops Deonna, package piledriver, Eat Da Feet! Deonna is down!

Mia looks spacey as she gets to her feet. Hit the sirens. Jordynne Grace is out here to congratulate her newest challenger. She offers a hand, Mia shakes it. They smile as they know they will clash at “Emergence” in August! We go to black!
