NWA Champion Trevor Murdoch will defend the title against the winner of a "Race To The Chase" tournament the weekend of 8/27 at the Chase Ballroom in St. Louis, Missouri.
The tournament will feature the following opening round:
*Nick Aldis vs. Tim Storm in a battle of former NWA Champions.
*The Pope vs. Brian Myers.
*Thom Latimer vs. Chris Adonis.
The tournament was announced during tonight's NWA Powerrr TV episode. The storyline is that NWA President Billy Corgan has lifted the stipulation preventing Tim Storm from once again challenging for the title. That stipulation dated back to the earliest episodes of Powerrr where then-NWA Champion Aldis defeated Storm with the stip being Storm could never again challenge for the NWA Championship.
