AEW DYNAMITE BLOOD AND GUTS 2022 REPORT

It's Wednesday Night, and that means it's Blood & Guts Night on AEW Dynamite. Taz, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone have the call of the action.  This will be a bloody night to be sure. We're told that Jim Ross will join us for the main event.

Ethan Page w/Dan Lambert vs. Orange Cassidy w/ Trent Baretta and Chuck Taylor

Lambert demands to see Trent and Chuck's manager's licenses.  As they have none, they are forced to the back. Page mocks Cassidy by putting his hands in his pockets. Cassidy does the same and delivers a dropkick. Page blocks a slam and tries an arm drag but Cassidy reverses it. Diving cross body for 1 by Cassidy.  Cassidy tries another slam but it gets blocked.  Shoulder tackle and down goes Cassidy. Page stuffs Cassidy's hands into his pockets and suplexes him. Page flexes to the crowd. Rollup by Cassidy for 2. Chop by Page, Cassidy rolls out and Lambert with Cassidy-esque kicks as we head to commercial.

We are back and it's Page missing a charge in the corner, but he connects with a roundhouse kick and a brain buster.  Page sets up the Razors Edge but Cassidy blocks it and ranas him into the buckles.  Cassidy to the top and PAge catches him with a powerslam for 2 (Lambert distracted Cassidy just before this).  Stundog by Cassidy into a spinning DDT for 2.  Lambert to the apron but Cassidy thwarts him.  2 orange punches and a bodyslam and Cassidy scores the pin.

Best Friends return to celebrate.

Tony Schiavone brings out Christian Cage. Two weeks removed form his attack on Jungle Boy, Cage says he was asked by management to apologize about his remarks from last week. He says he's sorry the entire Perry family isn't dead and had to see what happened to Jungle Boy 2 weeks ago.  He runs down Detroit and explains that he's in street clothes because, although he requested a match, it wasn't for him.  He brings out Luchasaurus

Luchasaurus vs Serpentico

Headbutt by Luchasaurus.  Deadlift German by Luchasaurus.  Luchasaurus with a spinning facedrop and he applies a snaretrap with a nerve hold for the tap.

WINNER LUCHASAURUS

Christian asks for  Luchasaurus to do a little more.  He chokeslams Serpentico on the floor.

Tony is backstage with Wardlow and Scorpio Sky.  Sky reminds us that he's the TNT champion and has beaten Wardlow.  Wardlow tells him to bring every member of American Top Team.  Next week, we have a Street Fight for the title.

The Gunn Club & Max Caster vs. Danhausen & FTR

FTR is draped in gold after winning their 3rd World Tag Team Title at Forbidden Door. Austin Gunn and Cash Wheeler kick us off and Austin shoves him back.  Lockup, headlock by Cash, Austin reverses it and nails a shoulder block and a leg sweep.  Backdrop by Cash. Atomic Drop by Cash into an arm drag. Dax tags in and chops away.  Snap suplex by Dax for 2.  Cash tags in. FTR with a double takedown and Danhausen tags in and scores a 2 with an elbow.  Austin drags him into the cormer and tags in Colton.  Hurancanrana by Danhausen. Danhausen takes the Gunns down with hip tosses but a Colton clothesline takes him down as we go to commercial.

As we return, Max Caster stomps Danhausen in the corner. Northern Light by Danhausen. Colton tags in and hits a dropkick. Austin tags in and he goes for a suplex. Danhausen slips out the back and tags in Dax.  The Gunns and FTR battle it out with FTR nailing tandem German Suplexes. Hip toss attempt by Dax and Austin reverses it into a neck breaker. Danhausen tags in. Kick by Danhausen, he sets up a GTS. Billy Gunn distracts the referee as Anthony Bowens runs in and attemts to nail Danhausen with the crutch but accidentally hits Autsin. Danhausen scores the pin.

The Gunns and The Acclaimed argue.  Billy Gunn tries to keep the peace and even shoves back his own son.

TBS Championship: Jade Cargill w/ Stokely Hathaway & Kiera Hogan vs. Leila Gray

Lockup, clotheslines by Jade. Knee strike by the champion.  Fireman takedown by Jade.  Gray with a boot to the face and tries a cross body but it's Jade with a fallaway slam.  Uppercut by Cargill. Rollup by Leila for 2. Running knee strikes by the challenger. She tries a bulldog but gets thrown off.  Boot to the face and Jade effect for the pin by Cargill

WINNER AND STILL TBS CHAMPION JADE CARGILL.

Hathaway gives the mic to the champion. She wants real competition next time. Stokely  knows why she's upset. There's no one who can challenge her.  Here comes Athena and Kris Statlander.  Leila Gray makes the save for the woman who just beat her.  Jade wants no part of Leila. 

The Young Bucks lament their friends being hurt. The only friends they have are their AEW Title Belts. YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto with have a non title match with the Bucks on Rampage.  Jim Ross joins the desk.

The cage is lowered.

Blood and Guts: Chris Jericho, Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, Daniel Garcia, Sammy Guevara & Jake Hager vs Santana, Ortiz, Eddie Kingston, Jon Moxley, Claudio Catagnoli & Wheeler Yuta

The JAS will have the man advantage throughout. Sammy elects to start off. Claudio will start off for his. There's a long distance staredown. Sammy tries to avoid him but gets thrown around.  Claudio with forever uppercuts. Sammy with a chop and another two uppercuts by Claudio.  Sammy tries to escape but Caudio catches him and throws him across the top rope. Sammy leaps over the ropes to escape. Claudio catches him and goes for an elevated uppercut but Sammy with a cutter.  Sammy gets a kiss through the cage. Claudio grabs his legs and goes for the big swing.  Daniel Garcia is the next man in and breaks it up as we go to commercial.

As we return to live action, Claudio gets rammed into the buckle and stomped down. Wheeler Yuta is the next man in. He nails Garcia with German Suplexes. He turns his attention to Guevara. Claudio with a assisting uppercut. Garcia gets flung across the ring by Claudio.

Jake Hager is next in for the JAS. Wheeler tries a dive but gets caught and spinebustered by Hager. Castagnoli and Hager go toe to toe. Springboard uppercut by Castagnoli. Garcia saves Hager. Hager spears Yuta into the cage. Yuta avoids a Hager charge and connects with a dropkick.  Hager brushes it off and nails Claudio with a spinbeuste. 

Jon Moxley, chair in tow, is next. Fallaway suplex by Moxley to Guevara. Moxley pounds Garcia and Castagnoli bulldogs Guavara.  Moxley is stabbing Garcia with a fork. Garcia is split open. Hart Attack by Yuta and Moxley. Press slam into a cutter by Castagnoli and Moxley. Yuta follows up with a frog splash. The Blackpool Combat Club and hammer elbows to the competition.

Angelo Parker is next and he's very nervous as he gets stalked by the competition.  Claudio catches him and nails a gut wrench. Blackpool CC is teeing off on Parker. This is a slaughter so far for William Regal's boys. As soon as that's said, Hager trips Claudio and blasts his leg with a chair. Garcia with a dropkick to Garcia. Hager chokes Castagnoli with the chair.

Ortiz is next and he's handing out clotheslines without mercy.  We go to commercial.

We're back in Detroit and Matt Menard has entered the match. He's working over the Blackpool CC. Somehow there's broken glass around.  Moxley is split open. Menard is raking Moxley across the cage. Back elbow by Menard. Yuta is raking Guevara's eyes but gets saved by Garcia.

Santana is next in and he introduces both a table and a barb wire baseball bat. Santana is all over Menard and Parker. Parker is bleeding a gusher. Moxley shoves skewers into Menard's head.  Yuta and Garcia are having a slapfight between the rings.  Jericho is now in the match, along with Floyd. The JAS is now all in. Sammy with a flying cutter to Santana.  Hager with a spine buster to Yuta but Castagnoli with a suplex. Claudio with an uppercut to Garcia and JEricho nails him with a codebreaker.

Eddie Kingston is the last man in and he's nailing the JAS with a kendo stick and stalks Jericho. Eddie catches him and nails him repeatedly. Eddie pulls out Rubbing alcohol but gets tackled by Hager. Conti passes Jericho the rubbing alcohol. Yuta and Moxley with the Doomsday Device. Kingston and Ortiz double powerbomb Hager through a table. Yuta and Moxley dump 2 bags of tacks.  In another ring, Claudio and Kingston start pulling the mat off the ring. We go to commercial as Garcia is hanging upside down outside the ring.  

Back to live action, Jericho is dragging Moxley across the thumbtacks. He applies the Walls. Kingston with a thumbtack assisted punch for the save. Kingston and Jericho fight it out.  Jericho sprays Kingston with a fire extinguisher.  Tay Conti takes out Aubrey Edwards and still the cage keys. She opens the cage. Ruby Soho comes out to brawl with Conti. Jericho climbs the cage and Kingston follows him.  They slug it out and Kingston connects with a backfist. Guevara goes up the top and saves Jericho. Sammy shoves Kingston's face into the cage roof.  Kingston with a low blowand sends Guevara off the cage through a table.

Commercial.

Jericho and Kingston are still fighting on the roof.  Jericho with the Walls. Claudio climbs the cage and makes the save.  Claudio with the giant swing. Menard climbed the cage and saved his boss. Kingston applies the stretch lock to Jericho and Castagnoli applies the sharpshooter.  Menard taps out.

WINNERS THE BLACKPOOL COMBAT CLUB, EDDIE KINGSTON, ORTIZ AND SANTANA

Kingston appears frustrated that he didn't get the tap out on Jericho.
