It would certainly tease that he's going to be back and involved a lot sooner than later.

My guess is either they aren't changing anything until the investigation is completed or they overlooked it, for now.

They got the tape library and prevented that library, which included NXT talents, from ending up in another entity's hands.

No, that's never, ever going to happen. Given that WWE featured footage of Cena on TBS' Wipeout, my guess is that the AEW talents appearing was a deal made with Discovery Warner Bros. vs. AEW itself.
Do you think we'd ever see a WWE star perform on Broadway?
Sure, if the show calls for it and a talent wants to make that time investment. I can see The Rock wanting to do Broadway at some point so he can add that to his personal check list.
