Caster gives Alec Price some grief for not being here tonight…because he’s on another show. Uh oh. Maybe Max is the Ace now? Next week, Caster wants a salty vet. He wants to learn a thing or two.

Match 9: “Big Bacon” Brad Hollister vs Tyree Taylor

It’s a war of the monsters tonight that we set up last week! Bacon immediately powders out and doesn’t give Taylor the fight he wants. The crowd wishes harm on Bacon, who is being very cautious about getting into the big man’s range. Tyree finally offers a free shot and Bacon takes refuge in the ropes. Tyree decks Bacon and walks him down with hard chops around the ring. Bacon using fans as road blocks and finally decks Tyree and almost gets the count out win. Taylor blasted to the apron, and Bacon stomps him out on the floor. Taylor getting plastered in the corner. Bacon can’t get the waist lock and Tyre powers right out. Heavy knees to Hollister and a shoulder tackle sends him flying! Hollister blasts the arm of Taylor and pummels that limb. Tyree throwing kicks! He goes for a bomb but Bacon hits a saito! Bacon fighting out of a Taylor powerbomb by holding the foot. Taylor can’t finish him and we go to a time limit draw. A frustrated Hollister leaves briefly but ambushes Taylor, wraps his arm in the post and blasts it with a chair. This whole thing was fantastic.

Winner: Time Limit Draw

Main Event: “The Shore Thing” Ray Jaz vs “Iron” Rip Byson

You know I want Ripper to win this but I also know Ray Jaz is going to find a way to derail that hope, extend his streak and make me sad. The crowd tells Jaz what they think of him. We’re good at that. Byson trying to toss Jaz around but the Shore Thing is running to the ropes and just taunting the wild man. Rip finally catches up to him and blasts a headbutt and tossing slam. Spinning powerslam for two! Jaz gets the wrist and dives over the top to Jack the arm up. Byson throwing with his off hand but Jaz clubs him down. Hair pull toss down. Jaz walks him down with uppercuts. Rip with a whip but Jaz rolls through with a back suplex! Rip throwing hands but Jaz runs him into the corner. Rip with a trip and Jaz goes tumbling! Rip chopping but clearly holding his other arm. Big boot! Spine buster! Jaz kicks out! Rip runs him into the corner and tries to superplex…Jaz slips down and hits the cradle bomb for the win. Le sigh.

Winner: Ray Jaz

Jaz on the mic. He says no one in the locker can possibly beat him. His record suggests he might be right. He runs down the crowd and the other wrestlers as slobs. He waits for someone to step up…

…SHOOK. <pop>

Bryce Donovan and Bobby Orlando make their way to the ring! They put over Jaz’s collegiate accomplishments. Orlando makes a point that they didn’t graduate. Donovan has a question…how does it feel when someone looks down on him? Jaz gets in Donovan’s face and gets kicks out of the ring. Donovan runs Jaz down as someone everyone HATES. Next week, Bryce is coming for his unbeaten streak and he should be…SHOOK.

This week was crazy good. A really well mixed card of good action and story movements. The near record breaking crowd was on fire for this whole night, really adding to the atmosphere. Our Ace may not have been in the house. The World Class team may have been in hiding. LMK might have been on the shelf. It didn’t matter, the Wrestling Open roster as a whole is so very well rounded that they carried this entire show from start to finish.

And to close, a personal story from this week’s post-show in tweets.

This crew is so good. Come to Worcester and see it for yourself. From the World Famous White Eagle…see you next Thursday…for SUMMER STUNNER!
