NEW ORLEANS' WILDKAT WRESTLING RETURNING THIS WEEKEND TO LIVE ACTION

By Sammy Kiss on 2022-06-22 08:44:00

"The adults will play while the kids are away."

For the first time in 2022, WildKat Sports returns to LIVE action with their signature event "X-Rated" on June 25th in New Orleans. WildKat Wrestling is the premier promotion in New Orleans, and this event marks their return after many hurdles due to the Global Pandemic. This will be the sixth installment of the "X-Rated" series, which has become one of WildKat's most popular Summer Events. WildKat Sports as a brand is known for its family-friendly entertainment, but this 21 and Over only event is the one night of the year where the wrestlers and the fans can let it all hang out!

Announced for the event:

-Ryan Davidson defends the WildKat Heavyweight Championship against the new NWA Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoc

-"Notorious" Shane Taylor versus "The Outlaw" Matt Lancie

-Luke & PJ Hawx defend the WildKat Tag Team Championship against Brady Pierce and Damien Wayne

-WildKat Revolution Champion Edge Stone defends against Danny Flamingo, Chuck Devine and Jace Valor in a Fatal 4 Way Match

-FLY DEF versus SLIME SZN and much more.

Over a decade ago in 2011, WildKat Sports & Entertainment brought professional wrestling back to New Orleans. During those ten years they've grown leaps and bounds, growing from a few dozen fans to drawing over 2,000 for their Revolution Rumble event in 2019, just before the Pandemic. Then the worldwide quarantine shutdown professional wrestling in the state and put a hault to the momentum Wildkat had going. While a brief return occurred in the summer of 2021, the devastation of Hurricane Ida to the city of New Orleans and once again the return of WildKat had to be put on the back burner.

The stars of the promotion have kept busy, many continuing to compete around the country, with Champions like Ryan Davidson and Edge Stone dominating in the state of Texas, while the Tag Team Champions Luke and PJ Hawx compete in the NWA. Many have participated in film and television, such as the hit STARZ program "Heels" and Disney's new lucha-centric " Ultra Violet & The Black Scorpion." WildKat has also continued to release content that was previously exclusive to online subscribers for free on their YouTube Channel to satiate the demand for WildKat programming. But as any wrestling fan will tell you, there is nothing like experiencing professional wrestling live and in person.

Well now the wait is over and WildKat brings its high standard of professional wrestling excellence back to live audiences. The demand was so strong that tickets sold out for X-Rated VI in less than two hours! Fans who missed out eagerly await on-sale date for the next event on July 30th, yet to be released. WildKat is definitely back and in a big way!

WildKat X-RATED VI is live for the first time from Southport Hall in New Orleans, Louisiana. This 21 & Older event is SOLD OUT with a special first come first serve offer at the door for the first 50 people, standing room only!  Doors open at 6pm, Bell time at 7:30pm
