NJPW STRONG REPORT: TANAHASHI VERSUS DICKINSON, AND MORE

Match Number One: Alex Coughlin, DKC, and Kevin Knight versus JR Kratos, Royce Isaacs, and Jorel Nelson

Knight and Nelson start things off. Kratos pulls Alex off the apron and Nelson with a knee to Knight. Knight with forearms and Nelson with a side headlock. Nelson with a take down and a forearm. Nelson gets Knight on his shoulders but Knight with an arm drag and slam followed by a splash for a near fall. Knight with a European uppercut and he tags in DKC. They hit a double shoulder tackle and then they give Isaacs a double hip toss.

DKC with a kick and Knight with a forearm. They drop kick Kratos off the apron. Alex sends DKC into Nelson for a rana. Alex gets Knight on his shoulders and he knocks Isaacs down and then Alex tosses Knight onto Isaacs for a splash. They pose in the ring. All six men brawl in the ring until it is just Kratos and Knight. Isaacs, Kratos and Nelson with stereo delayed vertical suplexes. Team Filthy poses in the ring.

Nelson with a side head lock and Kratos tags in. Kratos kicks Knight and punches him in the corner. Kratos with a biel. Nelson tags in and he gets a near fall. Knight with forearms to Nelson but Nelson with a running back elbow for a near fall. Isaacs tags in and he kicks Knight in the midsection and back. Isaacs with a forearm and Irish whip. Knight with an elbow and he tries to go between the legs. Isaacs stops him for a moment but Knight makes the tag to Alex.

Alex with clotheslines to Isaacs and Nelson. Alex with a gutwrench suplex to Isaacs and then to Nelson. Alex goes for a double belly-to-back suplex and connects. Alex gets a near fall on Isaacs and tags in Knight and DKC tags in. Knight with a splash to Isaacs and DKC with a shoulder into the corner. Alex gets Isaacs on his shoulders and Knight with a drop kick to set up an Electric Chair Drop. Knight gets a near fall.

Nelson with a spear to Alex and he kicks Knight and Alex to the floor. Nelson and Isaacs with a double choke slam to DKC and Kratos with a wheelbarrow suplex. Isaacs gets a near fall. Alex and Kratos face off and Kratos gives Alex the finger. They go back and forth with forearms. Alex wants Kratos to hit him again and Kratos with a slap and a clothesline. Kratos with a splash into the corner but Alex catches Kratos and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Kratos goes to the floor and Alex with a pescado. DKC with chops to Isaacs and Nelson goes after DKC but Knight stops him. All four men remain in the ring and exchange forearms.

Nelson with a knee to DKC and Knight with a knee to Isaacs. Nelson gets Knight on his shoulders and sends Knight to Isaacs for a German suplex. Isaacs gets DKC up and Nelson with a flying boot as Isaacs hits a brainbuster for the three count.

Winners: Jorel Nelson, Royce Isaacs, and JR Kratos

After the match, Coughlin chops Kratos on the floor. Kratos with a Superman punch to Coughlin. Kratos sends Coughlin back in the ring, but Coughlin clotheslines isaacs and Nelson. Coughlin and Kratos exchange punches and then they fight to the mat. Security comes into the ring to separate Coughlin and Kratos.

Kratos teases going back into the ring but he stops at the apron and flips off Coughlin.

Match Number Two: Delirious versus Ariya Daivari

Delirious goes after the leg but Daivari avoids him. Delirious with a waist lock and take down. Delirious gets a near fall. Daivari with a wrist lock and Delirious with a head scissors. Daivari gets to the floor and takes his time getting back in the ring. Daivari has some words for Delirious and Delirious has whatever he does to communicate back. Daivari sends Delirious into the turnbuckles.

Delirious pushes Daivari and he hits a reverse atomic drop and follows with a chop. Delirious with a cross body for a near fall. Delirious with a leg trip and a single leg crab. Daivari gets to the ropes and Delirious breaks the hold. Daivari drops Delirious on the top rope but Delirious with a reverse atomic drop and chop. Daivari pulls Delirious down by the mask and hits a neck breaker for a near fall.

Daivari with a chop. Delirious with an Irish whip and Daivari goes to the apron and he hits a neck breaker in the ropes. Daivari works on the neck and applies a rear chin lock. Delirious bits Daivari’s hand and goes for a back slide but Daivari blocks it and hits a DDT for a near fall. Daivari with a reverse chin lock into a sleeper. Delirious powers out of the hold and Daivari with a forearm to the back. Daivari with a forearm and slap to the back of the neck. Daivari yells at Delirious and Delirious with chops and a flying clothesline. Delirious with a slam and a series of leg drops and even more leg drops. Daivari is able to roll to the floor to avoid being covered by Delirious. Delirious follows Daivari up the ramp and chops Daivari in the back. Delirious brings Daivari back to the ring.

Delirious blocks a kick and hits a leg trip. Daivari stomps on the feet to block a suplex. Delirious with a fireman's carry and a fisherman’s buster for a near fall. Daivari with a snap mare and Delriosu with a kick. Daivari with a uranage for a near fall. Daivari signals that it is over. Daivari goes for the hammerlock clothesline but Delirious escapes and does a back rake. Delirious with a cobra clutch back breaker into the Cobra Stretch. Daivari with a rollup for a near fall. Daivari with a super kick for a near fall. Daivari with a hammer lock clothesline for the three count.

Winner: Ariya Daivari

Match Number Three: Brody King versus Jake Something

They lock up and go to a stalemate. They lock up again and go around the ring. They go to another stalemate. They lockup and Jake with a side head lock. Jake and King exchange shoulder tackles with no effect and Brody with a shoulder tackle. Jake with a body block. King with a chop and Jake chops back. They continue to exchange chops. King with the advantage and a waist lock. Jake with back elbows and a boot in the corner. King with a splash into the corner and a clothesline. King with a cannonball into the corner.

King goes for the Ganso Bomb but Jake escapes. Jake with a forearm and he sets for a power bomb but King blocks it. King with a shot to the midsection followed by a pile driver for a near fall. King gets Jake on his shoulders but Jake with an elbow. They both go for clotheslines and both men stay on their feet. King with a rolling elbow but Jake with a clothesline. King with a back body drop and a German suplex. Jake pops up and both men go for a cross body and both go down.

They exchange forearms. King with chops to add to the forearms. Jake with an Irish whip and spear. Jake goes for a sit out power bomb and hits it but can only get a near fall. Jake clotheslines King over the top rope to the floor. Jake with a plancha onto King. Jake sends King back into the ring. King with a forearm to the back of the head. King with a clothesline for a near fall. King with a Ganso Bomb for the three count.

Winner: Brody King

Match Number Four: Hiroshi Tanahashi versus Chris Dickinson

Dickinson goes for the leg and Tanahashi blocks it. Dickinson with a waist lock into a front face lock. Tanahashi with a waist lock and Dickinson backs him into the corner. Dickinson with a clean break. They lock up and Tanahashi with a head lock and a clean break. They lock up and Tanahashi with a side head lock. Tanahashi holds on when Dickinson tries to send him off the ropes. Dickinson with a kick in the corner. Dickinson with an Irish whip but he runs into an elbow and Tanahashi follows with a cross body.

Tanahashi with an arm drag into a side head lock. Dickinson with a reversal and shoulder tackle. Tanahashi with a hip toss and an arm drag into an arm bar. Dickinson blocks a kick and gives Tanahashi a dragon screw. Dickinson with a kick to the hamstring and a KneeDT. Dickinson pulls Tanahashi to the ring post and he wrings the leg into the ring post. Dickinson puts the leg in the turnbuckle and punches the leg.

Dickinson with a kick and a dragon screw and kick to the back of the leg. Tanahashi with punches but Didrikson with a punch. Dickinson with a leg sweep and single leg crab. Dickinson goes for a Mutoh Lock. Tanahashi gets to the ropes to force a break. Dickinson works on the ankle and slams the leg into the mat. Dickinson with chops. Dickinson puts the leg in the ropes and chops Tanahashi. Tanahashi with a kick and flying forearm. Tanahashi with forearms and punches and then he slams Dickinson. Tanahashi goes to the turnbuckles for a somersault senton and he gets a near fall.

Tanahashi blocks a kick and gives Dickinson a dragon screw leg whip. Tanahashi with sling blade.

Tanahashi goes up top and hits a cross body but Dickinson rolls through and applies a figure four leg lock. Tanahashi is able to reverse the hold and Dickinson gets to the ropes to force a break. They exchange forearms and chops.

Dickinson with a slap and Tanahashi with a slap. Dickinson with a take down and a dead lift German suplex for a near fall. Dickinson with an STF. Tanahashi gets to the ropes to force a break. Dickinson sets for a suplex but Tanahashi blocks it and hits a swinging suplex and then he hits a hanging swinging suplex. Tanahashi with sling blade for a near fall. Tanahashi goes up top and hits High Fly Flow for the three count.

Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi

After the match, Tanahashi offers his hand and he helps Dickinson up. Tananashi raises his hand and hug before Dickinson leaves the ring.

Tanahashi takes the mic and he says Finally, Tanahashi has come back. He thanks everyone for coming to the show. He says the crowd is amazing. He apologizes to the crowd for his English. Tanahashi ends with some air guitar.
