It is Wednesday, it’s time for AEW Dynamite’s Road Rager, which is in St Louis MO, at the Chaifetz Arena. Our commentary team is Jim Ross, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone.
Chris Jericho vs Ortiz in a Hair vs Hair match
William Regal has joined commentary.
They start by throwing hands. Jericho goes for a lionsault and Ortiz hits a clothesline for a cover and a two count. They move to brawling outside the ring and Ortiz beat up Jericho in the Barber’s chair. Hey return to the ring where Ortiz keeps control and gets a two count after a shotgun drop kick.
Jericho is able to take over after an eye rake. They move to fight on the top turnbuckle and Jericho goes for a Hurricanrana, and Ortiz blocks it and turns it into a power slam. Jericho takes over again and works over Ortiz on the apron and to the floor as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Jericho is keep Ortiz down with kicks. Ortiz is able to get up and they trade chops. Ortiz is able to get a cutter from the top turnbuckle for a two count. Regal; says that Jericho is vain enough to wear a wig. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho and Ortiz is able to roll him up for a two count. Ortiz misses a leap and Jericho gets a Codebreaker for a two count.
Jericho is able to lock in the Walls and Ortiz makes it to the ropes for a break. Eddie Kingston starts throwing hands with the Jericho Appreciation Society, drawing Yuta and Santana to run down and join in. In the chaos, Eddie Kingston hits a spinning back fist on Jericho, and Ortiz covers for a two count. As the ref is distracted again, Feugo Del Sol sneaks in and nails Ortiz with Jericho’s bat. Jericho covers and gets the three count.
Winner: Jericho
Ortiz is now to get his head shaved. And when Fuego Del Sol takes his mask off, it’s Sammy Guevara, rejoining Jericho and going full heel.
Ortiz grabs the clippers from the barber and Eddie demands a mic. Ortiz starts cutting his own hair. Eddie says he’s a man of his word and and it’s ain’t over. Ortiz chants Blood and Guts and he cuts his hair.
We get a video package like the old “People’s Court” for Wardlow’s match against the 20 plaintiffs in his court case.
Wardlow vs 20 Plaintiffs
The security guards swarm Wardlow and he tosses them all off. Wardlow power bombs one of the guards into the guards on the outside. He then starts pinning people power bombing people with no one getting any offense.
It’s pretty funny.
Wardlow takes them all out.
Wardlow: Case Dismissed.
Wardlow tosses Mark Sterling into the ring.
Dan Lambert stops him and says that if he messes with one member of of America’s Top Team, he’s messed with all of them. There may even be two former UFC champions at ringside to attack. He calls for Tyler Woodley and Matt Hughes to attack. Wardlow grabs a mic and asks if they are from St Louis. He says they are too smart to take orders from a rich a$$hole in a skybox. They toss Mark Sterling to Wardlow who power bombs Sterling and then end up shaking hands.
Dax Harwood vs Will Ospreay
See that look on my face? That’s the biggest grin I have had in a few years.
They lock up and Will gets a quick arm drag. They lock up again and trade wrist locks. This crowd is thunderous. They run the ropes and Will gets a flying head scissors take down. They work to the corner where Will and Dax lay in chops. Dax gets a snap suplex and a one count. Dax then gets a huger back body drop and a two count. Dax then takes Will down with a side head lock takeover and keeps him on the mat.
They fight on the apron, and Willo is able to pull Dax down to the floor and then hits a shotgun drop kick into the steel steps and we go picture in picture. Dax may have tweaked his leg, since he came down in the ring apron, and it didn’t look planned. ‘
When the return to full screen, Dax hits five German suplexes in a row. Dax starts to go to the top, but when he sees Will getting up, Dax hits him with a tossing German suplex. Dax goes to the top and misses, and Will follows him and hits for a two count. Will goes up again and Dax meetiong him there and they trade blows. Will is knocked down and Dax pulls him back up and goes for a supler plex, but Will reverses it. They reverse pins and then get to the top. Will hits a jack knife and Dax reverse it and holds on for a two count.
Dox goes to the outside and Will hits a flying cross body on him. Dax is rolled back and Will climbs to the top and hits a flying elbow on the top. He covers Dax for a two count. Will keeps calling for the Oz cutter, but Dax stops him. Dax is able to get a slingshot Liger Bomb for a two count after catching Will trying again for a Oz cutter.
They start head butting each other, then more to forearms, and then kicks. Dax hits a massive clothesline. Dax goes for a clothesline and Will is able to grab the arm, whip around and hit a Liger Bomb for a two count. Will then calls for the Oz cutter again, this time he hits it for a two count.
Will hits the Blade Runner elbow to the back of Dax’s head for the three count.
Winner: Will Ospreay
United Empire come to the ring, and Cash Wheeler with Roppongi Vice show to fight. As United Empire starts the beat down, Orange Cassidy is back! The ring clears except for Will and Cassidy. They go face to face. Cassidy’s people back him up and Will leaves the ring.
We get a video to build Jon Moxley’s and Hiroshi Tanahashi’s match at Forbidden Door.
Mox comes to the ring for his face to face with Tanahaski.
Mox says he’s been chasing Tanahashi since Day one and he wants to face The Ace. Mox says he is the best professional wrestler on the planet and everything is on the line for him. When they are done, Tanahashi will call him Ace.
Jericho’s music hits and he comes out with Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti. Jericho says it is his spot and if Mox doesn’t give him the spot, he’ll throw a fireball at him. He tells Tanahashi he beat him to two years ago and Tanahashi tells him to shut up. Jericho says to attack and from behind, Lance Archer and Desperado from Suzuki Gun beat them. Jericho comes to the ring and introduces Sammy and Tay as part of the JAS. Jericho says that he has teamed with Sammy and Suzuki to take on Yuta, Eddie Kingston and Shota Unbeno at Forbidden Door.
Eddie, Yuta, Santana and Ortiz rush the ring to run off the JAS and Tanahashi takes out Desperado.
We then get a video package showing why Darby Allin is coming after reDRagon for them attacking Sting on Rampage.
Toni Storm is with Tony Schiavone, and she says she is not stupid enough to play Britt Baker’s games. She has the skill set of a champion, and she will take the division where it needs to be.
Oh, and hour in and still no MJF sighting or mention.
Ethan Page vs Miro Qualifying match for the All Atlantic Championship.
Page goes to the outside and confers with Dan Lambert. The next time Miro goes for Ethan, he goes outside again and then slides in to take down Miro and get in a few shots. Ethan then goes after Miro’s legs with kicks. He then starts going after Miro’s left arm. He slaps on an arm bar. He goes for an Irish whip, but Miro reverses it and Miro starts his attacks. Miro tosses Ethan into the ring post from inside the ring and we go to picture in picture.
When we return, Miro hits a series of blows while stretching Ethan over the top rope. Miro goes to the outside and Ethan is able to toss him into the steel steps. Ethan rolls Miro back into the ring and hits a diving shoulder tackle from the top for a one count. Page then hits a cutter from the bottom rope for a two count.
Ethan puts Miro’s hands together to prayand Miro stand up and starts shouting at him. Miro then hits a huge back body drop, a charge into the corner, a leg lariat and then Miro waits for Ethan to get up. Lambert gets on the apron to take a punch from Miro. Mrio then super kicks Ethan in the face and calls for Game Over.
Winner and moving on: Miro
Dante Martin and Matt Sydal say that people will no longer talk about his potential as he beats Jon Moxley because he is Inhuman.
Britt Baker vs Toni Storm
Baker has Rebel and Jamie Hayter with her.
They start with throwing forearms. Baker rolls out to regroup and Storm follows her. Baker knocks Storm into the ring post and Hayter distracts Storm for Baker to attack from behind. Storm is able to grab Baker and drag her out fo the ring again for strikes, and then tosses her into the ring. Storm hits a diving cross body for a two count. Rebel gets on the apron to distract the ref and Hayter grabs Storm’s foot. Thunder Rosa comes to the ring to even the odds and we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Baker gets a one count on Storm. Baker goes for a charge intot he corner and Storm hit a DDT and then his a second DDT on the floor. Storm rolls Baker into the ring. Baker rushes to get her glove, and Storm grabs her for a German suplex. Storm then hits a hip attack in the corner. Storm then hits a forearm and Baker is down with the ref checking her. Storm goes for a pina nd Baker grabs her for a quick small package.
Baker puts on the glove for the lock jaw and Storm slips out the back door for a suplex and then Storm Zero, and Storm covers for the three count.
Winner: Toni Storm
Baker’s best match in a long time.
Rosa is on the ramp holding the belt and points at Storm.
Tony is with Stokely Hathaway and says Jade Cargill has issued an open challenge. Willow Nightingale shows up and accepts the challenge.
Adam Page is on his way to the ring. Page says he wanted a match with Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Championship, and last weekend, Jay White won that title. Adam Page comes out and says HE will be challenging for the title instead. He says Okada won’t be there, but someone else is there.
Jay White comes out and hits a Blade Runner on Page from behind. He cuts a promo on how he is the top dog now, and Page can’t call the shots. White says he won’t put his championship on the line against him. He then tells it won’t be against Adam Cole either.
So, we have no answer, but JR lets us know the title will be on the line at Forbidden Door.
Jurassic Express (AEW Tag Team Champions) vs The Young Bucks - Ladder Match because...um...well...reasons?
JB gets taken down, but Luchasaurus clotheslines the Bucks
The brawl goes to the outside.
Nick and JB do leaps onto the ladder and JB hits a Hurricanrana
JB and Nick throw hands on the ladder
We get a lot of Young Buckery and Luchasaurus gets a drop toe hold into the ladder
JB is tossed into a ladder in the corner, climbs it and hits a cross body
Matt hits the three suplexes with the last one into the ladder
JB hits a Hurricanrana on Matt through a table at ringside
Nick power bombs JB into another table
Luchasaurus is put through a table
We go to picture in picture and this match has been pure car crash stunt show mode
JB springboards into a super kick party. Luchasaurus cleans house.
Luchasaurus sets up a TALL ladder
Matt tries for a sleeper and instead he climbs the ladder with Matt on his back. JB hits Matt with a ladder and set it up next to the big ladder
All four men on the top of the ladders.
All four men are brought down
You know what you are getting with this, right? NO ONE can keep up with the craziness.

Christian Cage is tending to Luchasaurus as the Bucks go up the ramp.
Cage goes into the ring when JB is up. He helps JB limp to the ropes, and then he hits the Killswitch on JB. Cage grabs a pair of chairs from under the ring and it’s time for a Con Chair To. Cage drapes his leather jacket of JB’s face and we are desperately out fo time.
