THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S ALLEGATIONS AGAINST VINCE MCMAHON AND WHAT IT MEANS TO THE FUTURE OF WWE

I have gotten a bunch of questions about the Vince McMahon story so I figured it was time to do an impromptu Q and A.

Could this be the end of Vince McMahon in WWE?

Could it?  Depending on what the board finds, oh yeah.  And now that the story is out in the public eye, double Oh Yeah.  This is huge.  If the woman in question saw the alleged pay bump after the alleged relationship with Vince began, that means company funds may have been used as a reward for a relationship.  That is a nightmare for him, and the SEC will surely be interested in seeing if it happened.

What about the alleged payout?

I think if it came from his personal funds, it's a lot better than if it came from WWE funds.  If it came from WWE funds, again the SEC will be looking into this.  But either way it's not good, especially since most of his wealth and income is tied to WWE.

Could the board force McMahon to sell his stock and/or change its designation to common stock?

It would probably depend on what is uncovered and what else happens.  If more women come forward, it could very well be the end for Vince's control of the company he created.  If his stock goes on the block, it could lead to a takeover.  

Does Stephanie McMahon-Levesque leaving have anything to do with this?

Magic 8 Ball says, "Reply hazy, try again later".

Who takes over if Vince is gone?

Right now, it would be Nick Khan.  And if Vince is forced out, he would have even more power than he has now.  Khan could be the big winner in all of this.

If this is true, how could Vince be so stupid?

Hubris.  That simple.  The more power some people get, they more invincible they they they are.

If it's sold, who would you like to see buy WWE?

Apple.  Then they could hire the people that do Ted Lasso to run WWE.  There isn't a bigger heel in forever than Nate.  Rupert is a big one too.
