Mike Jones from DC101 in Washington, DC checking in. I did an interview with The Miz and Maryse about Season 3 of Miz and Mrs on USA. Didn’t really have any wrestling talk but it was a fun interview about the new season of their show, how Miz’s dad George is on another level, Maryse’s mom Marjo not liking moving out of their house, how much their kids love being on the show, getting a different look at Dancing With The Stars now and balancing all of the projects that they’re involved with.

Interview highlights:
Miz’s dad George Mizanin is on another level: He is a character on his own. (Miz) People say he can get his own spinoff if he wanted. If he did, it would be mayhem for us because he would nonstop all day every day brag about it. Yeah, he’s definitely a character, he’s funny to watch, but to live with is a whole other story!
Maryse’s mom Marjo wasn’t pleased about moving out: (Maryse) She was not happy. And you would think people would be happy to get a condo, fully furnished, she has a new car, she’s all set! And she thinks we’re trying to kick her out. (Miz) Get rid of her. (Maryse) That’s what we’re trying to do, get rid of her. That’s her thinking. Which it wasn’t. We’re just trying to have some privacy, and you know, and also make her more comfortable, which is a win win for everyone. But she looks at it as a negative. Typical Marjo fashion…
Will Madison and Monroe be embarrassed about Miz and Maryse: (Miz) No matter how cool we feel we are, we are nerds to our kids. (Maryse) I think we will be nerds to our kids. I was a nerd when I was younger and it was totally cool, and it’s cool to be weird. I love to be weird, but I think they will think that I’m literally weird.
The kids love being on Miz and Mrs: (MIZ) They get excited whenever the cameras are around. (Maryse) Monroe says, “oh the cameras are here, smile!” (MIZ) She also likes the camera operators, we have a ton of people on crew, and she loves everyone on the crew. Both of the girls do. (Maryse) Every morning they’ll come in and Monroe will have a conversation with everyone, she’s four!
Miz and Mrs will give us a new look at Dancing With The Stars: (MIZ) You see all the dancing that we do on the show and it looks amazing. You don’t get to see the hard works actually that gets put into doing every dance and what the issues are with your family and how to resolve everything. That’s exactly what you see on Miz and Mrs, a behind the scene’s look at ABC’s Dancing With The Stars!
Would Maryse do Dancing With The Stars: (Maryse) Yeah I would do it. I would do it because I like a good challenge. The only reason why I would maybe not want to do it is because I have kids and I don’t have enough time in my life to do everything. (MIZ) But I would give you the same thing you gave me: it’s an experience and they’ll see mommy dancing and they can dance with mommy. (Maryse) I think I would definitely do it. At first I would look at all the reasons why I think I wouldn’t want to do it but I would definitely say yes.
Free time is hard to find: (Miz) We are going to take a little vacation, just for the family, and get out of our house. (Maryse) You have to put it in the calendar. It’s almost when you have kids and the family and many projects. Priorities are obviously the family and kids and work but then your relationship gets on the side because you take care of everything there’s always something to do. For us, as a couple after 15 years, once a week, we have to go out and have a date, go for a movie, go for dinner, and do something like that!
