MICK FOLEY VISITS INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING HALL OF FAME HQ IN ALBANY, SECURES TERRY FUNK'S PLAQUE TO WALL

The International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame issued the following:

MICK FOLEY VISITS HALL OF FAME

 

6/10/2022 - Albany, New York - Members of the International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame were surprised and excited to see a familiar face at the front doors to the IPWHF at the MVP Arena on Thursday June 9, 2022.

None other than Mick Foley stopped by the IPWHF to get a tour of the facility and hold an impromptu ceremony honoring his beloved mentor and IPWHF 2021 Inductee, the legendary Terry Funk.

Mick was in Albany for his live show the previous evening and graciously took time out of his busy schedule to stop by the MVP Arena and see "The Hall" up close and personal.  During his visit, Mick received a tour of the facility and even had the opportunity to see some of the artifacts received from the recently defunct PWHF in Wichita Falls, TX.

IPWHF President, Seth Turner and IPWHF CFO, Michael Lanuto was treated to an impromptu ceremony as Mick had the honor of hanging the first plaque in the Hall's history.  After penning a personal message, Mick carefully set into place; the induction plaque for his beloved mentor and friend, the legendary Terry Funk.

Before hitting the road home, Mick took some time to look at some of the artifacts being inventoried and prepped for display to include robes worn by the likes of the late, great "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff and the late Dominic DeNucci.

The IPWHF will be located on the second floor of the MVP Arena in Downtown Albany, directly across from the main offices of the Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League, with the grand opening scheduled for Induction Weekend 2022.
