STING TO MISS AEW FANFEST DUE TO INJURY, DYNAMITE HIGHLIGHTS, KHAN TALKS PPV AND MORE

By Paul Jordan on 2022-05-26 09:15:00

AEW has announced Sting is injured and unable to travel to this weekend's Fanfest in Las Vegas:

Tony Khan does his customary pay-per-view preview on this week's AEW Unrestricted podcast.  After reviewing all the matches at the end of the podcast, Tony Schiavone teases more matches will be announced for the Buy In. Khan corrects him, saying that there will only be one match on that show and that he wants to get in the action later. But then, said he could adjust the card depending on what happens in the NBA conference finals. TK then remembers being in Vegas for a Manny Pacquiao fight 10 years ago that was delayed due to the NBA conference finals between Boston and Miami. They now find themselves in a similar situation, with a possible game seven going head-to-head with the pay-per-view. Khan states if that does happen, he does have a contingency plan in place and vows that the AEW World Championship Match will not go in the ring until the game is over.

AEW released the following Dynamite highlights:

Did Wardlow Overcome MJRef and Shawn Spears Inside the Cage? | AEW Dynamite, 5/25/22

Samoa Joe Advances to the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals | AEW Dynamite, 5/25/22

Set for Friday's AEW Rampage:

*Matt Sydal versus Bryan Danielson -William Regal will be on commentary for that match.

*The Young Bucks will be in action.
