BIG AEW ALLY EXITS WARNER BROS. DISCOVERY

Deadline.com broke news this evening that Brett Weitz will be exiting his position as the General Manager for a number of cable networks, including TBS, TNT and TruTV as part of Discovery's takeover of the former Warner Media.

Weitz was intimately involved in the launch and growth of AEW on TNT and later TBS and was a big ally for the Tony Khan-owned promotion.  He was named General Manager for the networks for the same month AEW debuted on TNT, October 2019 and was with Time-Warner/WarnerMedia for 14 years.
