TOP TWO RISK-FREE BETTING STRATEGIES PRO GAMBLERS USE

By Kendall Jenkins on 2022-05-09 22:36:00

Online gambling has taken off in the last few years, allowing punters worldwide to place their bets no matter their location. With the many online casinos and sportsbooks available, punters have thousands of betting opportunities. Online casinos not only offer slots, table games, and live casino games, but a lot of the time, they also offer a sportsbook or racebook.

However, when betting, it’s always a possibility that you’ll lose your money. If you’re betting, using betting strategies with the lowest risk is always the better option. While there are many betting strategies out there, we looked at the top two strategies that the top gamblers use.

Without making it too difficult to understand, we explain how to best use these strategies. Whether you’re a new or experienced gambler, these strategies will make betting as close to risk-free as possible.

Arbitrage Betting

Arbitrage betting is one of the most frequently used strategies, also known as Arb betting. However, this strategy requires in-depth research and calculations, making it not the easiest one to use. The premise of Arbitrage betting is finding discrepancies and the best odds between different sportsbooks. Unlike Matched betting, Arbitrage betting is used exclusively in sports betting and consists of shopping odds.

Not only do you need to look for the best odds offered by various bookkeepers, but you also need to do complex calculations to ensure the odds are the best and the juice isn’t too high. You’ll need to calculate the no-vig percentages of the different odds to do this.

Calculating No-Vig Percentages

Before calculating your no-vig percentage, you need to calculate the risk/return figure. To calculate the profit margin, you need to divide the odds by 100 and then divide or multiply it with your stake amount to see the possible profit.

You then need to remove the vigorish or juice, which is the bookkeeper’s house edge. To calculate the vig percentages, you need to convert the odds to a percentage, which you add together. The total that’s over 100% is the vig percentage. You need to divide the individual odds percentages with the total percentage to receive their no-vig probability margin.

We’ve set it out in easy steps:

Step 1: Odds / 100 = Profit Margin

Step 2: Bet / Profit Margin = Total Profit

Step 3: Bet + Total Profit = Total Return

Step 4: Bet / Total Return = Individual Vig Percentage (A & B)

Step 5: Individual Vig Percentage A + Individual Vig Percentage B = Total Vig Percentage

Step 6: Total Vig Percentage - 100 = Vigorish/Juice

Step 7: Individual Vig Percentage / Total Vig Percentage x 100 = Individual No-Vig Percentage

These calculations need to be done to all the odds to find the best odds and can become a time-consuming method. However, there are many odds calculators available online, making the process faster. Despite the complications of this strategy, it remains one of the best betting strategies, as it minimizes the risk and delivers long-term results when it comes to your bankroll.

Matched Betting

Unlike the Arbitrage strategy, Matched betting can be used for sports bets and online gambling at a casino. It’s also much simpler to use since the basic principle of this strategy isn’t to use your bankroll. Matched betting consists of bonus hunting, where punters look for bonuses offered by online casinos and sportsbooks where they can use bonus funds in their bets rather than their funds.

Online gambling platforms offer many types of bonuses, and punters using this strategy will look for the best bonuses across many platforms.

Welcome Offers

Most of the no deposit bonuses that punters look for are welcome offers. This does make it a bit more complicated since a player can only claim the welcome offer once upon registration. One of the most common bonuses sportsbooks will give is called free bets. This consists of a bet with a set value or a betting token that can be used to place bets.

On the other hand, risk-free bets mean you make a bet with your own bankroll, but if it results in a loss, you’ll be credited your initial bet. Then there are no deposit bets that reward you with bonus funds, usually between $5 and $30, that you can use to bet.

Online Betting

While sports bets and online gambling have become more popular, it’s also easy to lose money if you bet without any strategies. There are many strategies available, and it depends on the type of bet you make and which is the best to use. However, there are two overall strategies that pro gamblers use when betting, and they’re good guidelines to follow as you make your bets.
