Southeast First -  Uncharted Territory “Season 4, Episode 1”

The 4th season of Uncharted Territory kicks off tonight! Unlike the first three seasons, which were hosted by Beyond Wrestling, this season is focusing on the current Southeast First movement happening on IWTV. This season emanates from the TWE Arena in Red Bank, which has also played host to KOBK, ICW NHB, The Scenic City Invitational and more! If you’ve been following any of the narrative leading up to this, you know that IWTV champ AC Mack is currently holding that belt hostage in the South, refusing to defend it anywhere else. He was baited into a title defense at WWR+ in Worcester, MA but instead of losing the title, Beyond Wrestling lost the rights to Uncharted Territory to the South. Which bring us tonight! Uncharted Territory’s debut features an IWTV title challenge from the Northeast’s resident Michael Myers, SLADE! Also, the “Northeast Beast” Alec Price makes the trip down to defend his recently won Southern Underground Pro Bonestorm Championship against Ashton Starr, the man who ultimately cost Beyond their rights to UC. As someone who covers promotions in both regions on the regular, I am f***ing stoked for tonight. 

Let’s check in with Beyond’s Drew Cordeiro to see how he’s doing: 

We go live in the venue with AC Mack already there and the crowd chanting “Southeast First”. Scott Hensley is your announcer but AC Mack is introducing the show…and his pile of gold. He starts to talk about his impending challenger in the form of WHOEVER won the second season of Masked Wrestler…and he is immediately interrupted by Alec Price. This crowd is none to happy to see Price make the trip down here. “This is a northeast belt now!” Price is eyeing the IWTV title, Mack tells him to get in line. He tells Mack to get out of his ring since he has business to attend to. This episode is rolling! Dylan Hales & Jumpin’ Johnny Mosely are you commentators. Let’s goooooo!

Match 1: “The Prize” Alec Price(c) vs Ashton Starr (for the SUP Bonestorm Championship)

This crowd reaaaaaaallly hates Price, who is tearing into them hard. Starr comes right for it and sends Price to the mat repeatedly. Starr blasts Price into the front row with a back elbow. Price back in, dropkick for two. Starr stuns the northeast beast but whiffs a crossbody. Big back suplex to Starr and hits that air raid crash neckbreaker. He is just working the hell out of this crowd before going back to punishment on Starr. Ashton back drops out of a Gotch powerbomb! Big clothesline! Price dropped on his head. Crossbody to the buckles! Springboard dropkick for two! Price dodges the axe kick but turns into a northern lights…kickout…scissor kick for two! Price with a cradle for two but pops up and hit with a powerslam! Starr on a roll…split leg moonsault for two! Price crotches Starr on the top rope. He wants a saito but Starr fights him off. Whiff on the moonsault! Gotch powerbomb for two! Ashton with a rollup! Price pops up and hits the Suprize kick. Dylan Hales says “s***” as the ref counts Starr down for the three!

Winner: Alec Price

Price rips into the crowd and the level of competition. He is getting nuclear heat from the crowd as he even rips into the SUP belt for being less good than his Limitless Championship belt. Jaden Newman hits the ring and Alec hits the bricks. “I already beat you!” says Price as he vacates.

Match 2: “Number One” Jaden Newman vs “The Suplex Assassin” Alex Kane

This is a true Southeast First contest between the master of the TWE house and the king of suplex island. Newman trying to keep Kane off kilter early, working fast with arm drags and dropkicks. Kane sent to the floor but right back in with a huge lariat. Slam to the apron. Big back drop. Reverse neckbreaker. Newman is getting battered with big clubbing blows. Jaden firing back and German suplexes the assassin! Kane rolls out, Newman dives after! Meteora! Kick out! Newman wants the Ricola bomb but Kane isn’t having it. Kane want suplexes but Newman keeps avoiding…rebound spear! Straps are down! Newman is getting that work! Three Germans! Overhead toss! X plex! The crowd chanting for Jaden but he ded. Kane comes in for Mark of Kane but Jaden slips a cradle and gets the three! Good match!

Winner: Jaden Newman

It’s time for the Discovery Gauntlet! It’s back! You gotta win it to stay in it! Who kicks this off??? It’s Merrik Donovan!!! And after him? Rico Gonzalez! 

Match 3: “Sir Knight” Merrik Donovan vs Rico Gonzalez

I’ve loved watching these two raise their profile over the last year or so. This is a great showcase for them! Handshake of respect. Battle over a waist lock, does Rico want to be in Merrik’s grip like this? It’s a bad idea and Donovan blasts him to the mat. Rico stuns Merrik with a body scissor toss but Sir Knight is back with a stiff af lariat. Rico tries a crossbody…he’s caught. powerslam into a senton for two! Merrik trying to twist Rico’s head off. Rico out and hits a defiant slap. Merrik makes him pay in kind. Rico drops Merrik down but Donovan stares a hole through him. Rico meets him with clothesline and a pop up lariat! Rico is finding his groove and trying to beat down his larger opponent. Merrik with a dragon suplex. Spin Doctor Bomb! Three count! Huzzah!

Winner: Merrik Donovan

Scott Hensley is looking to interview Merrik Donovan and Suge D hijacks the microphone. He interviews Merrik…but uses it to give him advice about losing and the crowd’s fickleness. Suge is being very condescending to Donovan but offers his assistance and guidance. Merrik declines. Suge says we’ll see how far he makes it in the gauntlet…he’ll see him soon. Well now.

Match 4: Shazza McKenzie vs Kenzie Page

They trade headlock takeovers, leg sweeps, quick pin attempts and reversals! With their pink and black attires, this is almost a mirror match. This goes to a stalemate, Kenzie tries a gut kick but Shazza takes over. Double knees for two. Kenzie runs her into the post. Shazza looks like she’s coming off the top but Eli Drake is out to distract Shazza. He gives Kenzie a smooch before she starts to lay in the beatdown. Kenzie tries to grind Shazza out, choking and pulling hair. Heavy chest kick. Trading uppercuts and elbows on the ropes. Back and forth slaps!  Shazza gets a boot up! Knee to the back! Kenzie trapped in the ropes and Shazza unloads a pile of kicks! Shazza with a saito! Eli pulls the leg and Shazza turns into a superkick. She goes down hard and Kenzie picks up the W. Really good energy between these two.

Match 5: Adam Priest vs “The Mat Scientist” Damyan Tangra

Uncharted Territory is a universe where we boo Adam Priest. This is good. This is very good. Priest trying to avoid getting roped into Tangra’s grapple game. He tosses Damyan to the mat but get dragged down there too. Priest using the ropes to his advantage to escape the grip…and tries to work to a STF. Priest wants to end this asap and goes for a rollup to no avail. Priest tries to snap the fingers but Tangra reverses and twists those digits instead. Tangra with a neckbreaker but Priest blasts an enziguri and rams Tangra into the buckles. PK to the arm! Priest has a target and tries to wrench the limb off in a hammerlock. Big back suplex for two. Priest not letting up and repeatedly throwing Tangra out of the ring and forcing him to get back in. Priest eats the steel of the buckle…Tangra starting to fire up but Priest blasts a dropkick. Tangra tries to dropkick Priest out of the air but Adam has it scouted and hits the STF. Adam tries to come off the top again…European uppercut! Tangra with the Bulgarian gutbuster! Priest tries an enziguri but he gets dragon screwed….sick spin out on this one. Tangra chasing Oriest down with leg kicks. He locks in the STF! Priest struggles but gets to the ropes! Tangra with a spin out Michanoku driver! Priest decks Tangra and PK’s the arm again. Big chops! Tangra firing back! Double throat chop from Priest. Tangra over the ropes and priest hits the ropes into his nethers. One brain buster later and Priest gets the win.

Match 6: Violence is Forever(Kevin Ku & Dominic Garrini)(c) vs Culture Inc (Malik Bosede & Eli Knight w/ Nick Holiday) (for the ACTION and SUP tag team Championships)

Holiday grabs the mic and fires up the crowd for some good southern tag team wrestling. So much gold is currently held by ViF right now. Bosede going hold for hold with Dom but he makes one mistake and almost gets choked out. Knight gets in there, Ku gets the hooks in immediately. Knight out, Ku pretzels him up and poses strongly. Holiday calls a timeout as this is going POORLY for Culture Inc right now. Knight pops Ku in the face…and runs right into one of those rough chest kicks. Blind tag to Bosede and Ku is finally on the defense as Culture Inc lays in some double team action. Bosede goes it alone and Ku grabs an ankle…still very dangerous. Bosede out and hits a split leg moonsault. Huge PK from Ku and a tag to Dom. Big clotheslines, exploders culture Inc into each other. ViF unloads on Bosede with chops and stomps and a pass off brain buster for two. Backbreaker double stomp combo for two. Knight working back to the corner while Bosede flies across the ring with a crossbody! Tag! Knight with a double dropkick! Fisherman buster to Ku! Rana & Enziguri to Dom! Dom out at two! Culture Inc with the electric chair blockbuster for two! Regal plex dropkick from ViF! Bosede saves Knight from

A spike piledriver. Double stomp sling blade to Dom! Knight with a moonsault but falls into a triangle. Ku tries to cut it off but Bosede breaks up the hold with his body. Bosede trading with Ku, crowd’s on fire! Ku  caught with a backcracker, codebreaker German combo! Wrong person is on the cover, Dom saves the match by being a good rules lawyer. Ku fights out of a double suplex. Ku turns Knight inside out with a suplex and drops him into Dom’s rear naked choke! Knight taps out! This was looking like an extended squash but then this match just fires right up. Loved this!

Winners: Violence is Forever

It looks like we’re going to the main event but THE REVEREND IS HERE! Tank has sent him to give the crowd a history lesson about the legacy of Southern wrestling. Next week: Tank is going to murder Tony Deppen in this very ring in next week’s main event. 

Main Event: AC Mack(c) vs SLADE (for the IWTV World Championship)

Mack and SLADE are 1:1 this year. The camera cuts outside as SLADE is outside the building, lifting a cinder block and whips it into a wall before getting a full Goldberg style follow camera entrance as security flanks the madman into the building. The TN crowd doesn’t know what to make of SLADE as he stays in the ring with security surrounding him and holding him back from attacking Mack early. Mack foregoes his self intro and dives right into the security pile. SLADE and Mack clear the guards and get to fighting. SLADE sent to the buckles and Mack goes wild on him. SLADE tries to choke Mack out quickly but the champ is out. Kick to the back of SLADE. Mack is not letting up, nor should he. SLADE grabs the ring steps and tries to bring them in the ring. Mack hits a pair of suicide dives to SLADE and a wall! SLADE eats the apron and a pole…but he’s nowhere near done. Mack makes SLADE eat post….he tries for the corner dropkick but SLADE hits an exploder to the buckles. SLADE biting the ear! Mack tries to bait SLADE in but he gets rammed in the venue wall. SLADE firing up and slamming Mack’s head on the apron repeatedly. AC hip tossed SLADE to the corner, flying kick to the head! Kick out! He tries the Mack 10 but SLADE reverses to the choke again! Mack runs up the ropes and flips the hold…SLADE is trapped down for the three! 

Winner: AC Mack

SLADE drops the champ with a huge chokeslam post match. He pulls Mack up by the throat and chokeslams him right into the center of the Southeast First logo over and over. SLADE grabs a cinder block as the crowd boos and the bell ring over and over. SLADE goes to crush Mack’s head with the cinder block.

Lights go out! Lights up! KRULE IS IN THE RING! 

SLADE AND KRULE GET INTO IT AND FIGHT THEIR WAY OUT INTO THE TWE PARKING LOT!!!! The show fades to black as SLADE and Krule battle into the night!
