Wrestling Open Spotlight Match: “World Class” Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella) vs Love, Doug

Bakabella refuses to let Channing start the match with all these flower petals around. Doug give a bouquet to Bakabella…who smashes it on the turnbuckle. This fires Doug up for the opening flurry of smooches but Thomas out of the corner with a lariat and rains punches down. Sterling hates Love Doug too apparently. Doug with a backslide for two but Channing has a big slam down. Doug getting tossed around but ain’t done. Doug fights out of a fireman’s carry, firing up, hits the high crossbody! X factor! Slice of love! Bakabella up on the apron but Doug gives him a big smooch. Channing pulls him off and hits a piledriver to get the win! This was as fun as I expected or as my friends put it “Channing is an Ass. Sidney rocks the beard. Love Doug is lovely.”

And we’re live on the main show! I’m not here! I was at PAX and had friends sending comments all day so I’ve been pretty hype to check this out! Paul Crockett is your commentator. Rich Palladino is your announcer. Let’s gooooo!

Match 1: Waves & Curls (Traevon Jordan & Jaelyn Brandyn) vs Above the Rest (Gabriel Skye & Tristan Thai)

AtR attacks during W&C’s entrance. Sling Blade backbreaker starts a huge flurry on Jaelyn. Traevon tries to get into it but he gets dropkicked down as the bell rings. They lay in the heat on Traevon, double teaming as Jaelyn makes it back to the apron. Traevon blocks a suplex and plants Skye. Tag to Jaelyn! He’s going hard but Skye kicks him off a slingshot and Jaelyn hits the support post HARD. Thai lays into Brandyn, AtR hitting hard and keeping Jordan off the apron. They have something to prove to the anointed aces of the tag division. Tag to Jordan and he’s in hot, tossing AtR around and hitting a double flapjack out of the corner. They hit a 3D on Thai! Skye with a double stomp save! Monkey flip on Jaelyn into a knee! Whoa! Traveon with a pounce to break up the pin! Backbreaker into a double stomp! Jordan saves again! Skye tossed. Thai gets hit with a Wave Check and that closes this hot opener out! Traveon gets to fire his party pooper in the post-match celebration as the crowd sings for them!

Winners: Waves & Curls

Match 2: Ray Jaz (w/ Tony Vincita) vs “The Alternative” Anthony Greene

Sidney Bakabella joins Paul Crockett on commentary. I see he’s willing to show up to work. Jaz has a tip. “The Alternative is unreliable”. The crowd calls him “Shovel Face”, a moniker bestowed on him a couple weeks ago by AG. Jaz threatens a second tip but AG superkicks him. Jaz trying to fire back but AG kicking, chopping and smashing his face into the mat. Vincita does a quick distract and Jaz suplexes AG to take control. This tandem works, as Vincita makes a point to choke AG repeatedly as the ref is distracted. Jaz with a modified STF trying to grind AG down. Big German but AG back with a clothesline and a X plex! The ref finally catches Vincita in the act and throws him out! AG flies out of the ring after him anyways! He comes back in and Ray Jaz catches him with a backslide and keeps his shoulders down for the three! What an upset! Good match but also booooo, because f*** Ray Jay. :)

Winner: Ray Jaz

Match 3: “The Wounded Owl” LuFisto vs “Hot Sauce” Tracy WILLIAMS

Williams grabs the mic and reminds everyone that LuFisto is an indie wrestling hall of famer…and this has been a dream match for him from the start…but he says She should hang it up since she has to go on Twitter to beg for a job. OUCH. The crowd turns on him and chants “weak sauce” at him! She flies in hard, landing chops and headbutts to the sternum! Sauce firing back with strikes and chokes her on the ropes. He tries to stretch her but LuFisto bites her way free. Sauce with a gutwrench powerbomb for two! LuFisto trips Sauce into the buckles, big saito! Trading shots to their feet. Spinning back fists! Sauce dropped on his head! Back rake! Baseball slide into the tree of woe! Cannonball! Sauce gets her up for a DVD! LuFisto kicks out! She escapes the piledriver, fisherman’s suplex for two! She tries for the burning hammer, he rakes the eyes! Sauce hits the piledriver! She kicks out! An enraged Sauce applies a rear naked choke and LuFisto goes out for the stoppage. Fantastic match and the crowd is very angry with Sauce right now.

Winner: Tracy Williams

Match 4: Teddy Goodz (w/ Little Mean Kathleen) vs “The Timeless One” Crowbar (w/ Percival)

Is this real life?!? Former WCW star Crowbar looks great! This dude Percival is huge. Goodz has a little beef with Crowbar stemming back 15 years and Crowbar comes right in on him before the bell. LMK steals the chair to save Goodz! Crowbar throws her down! Good with a jawbreaker! LMK with a Dudley dog! Goodz with a cutter in the chair! LMK makes the count! It’s doesn’t count! Percival is out, he catches Goodz but LMK hits a crossbody hard! She drives Percival to the back. Crowbar landing chair shots, northern lights onto the chair! Goodz kicks out! Crowbar is mad but gets the chair dropkicked into the face! Goodz with an iconoclasm and a rolling cutter ends this wild contest! This was a lot of good stuff!

Winner: Teddy Goodz

Match 5: Smart Mark Sterling vs “The Silver Tooth Satan” Atticus Cogar

Sterling said he wasn’t going to show up but his downside guarantee might be affected so he’s going to give Cogar a wrestling lesson. They tie up, Sterling with a go behind and a blatant Low blow to Cogar. Ring the bell. Cogar refuses the DQ victory. The ref restarts the match! Sterling is furious and almost gets himself counted out.  Cogar goes for the skewers but Sterling slaps them away. Cogar with some kicks and a suplex for two. Kick to the back of the head and a moonsault! Kick out! He’s on the ropes, Cogar has the skewers…Sterling escapes again! Sterling uses a closed fist and tries to get disqualified again. He’s just blatantly cheating and ignoring rope breaks. The ref is just letting this go. Half and half suplex! Cogar with a ddt for two! Sterling run into a turnbuckle covered in skewers! German for two! Sterling is bleeding from the face! Sterling gets his brass knuckles and we have a stand-off. Sterling comes in, Cogar ducks, kick to the gut and a headlock driver ends the night. Atticus has more skewers and Sterling runs for dear life! My friend says “Smart Mark looks like he smells like over priced cologne.”

Winner: Atticus Cogar

Match 6: Biff Busick vs Dirty Dango

Dango is the next on Biff’s checklist after he was attacked at Beyond’s last show in Somerville. Dango is out here in a karate gi…with a white belt. XD Busick attacks right during his own intro. Dragging Dango out to the floor, ripping the belt off and choking Dango with his white belt. Biff stomping a mud hole and tossing Dango back to the floor. Dango firing back with chops and gyrates before hitting a double axe handle from the apron. Ref misses a slick low blow from a half and half and Biff is in trouble. Dango wraps a chair around his neck and rams him to the post. Dango choking him with the chair and ramming Biff into the steel. The ref is letting this go, as the animosity is clearly ruling the day. Biff has a receipt for Dango and chokes him with the chair. Dango tries a chop but hits the post. Biff lighting up Dango with chops and uppercuts! Blockbuster for two! Biff grabs a door! Dango fighting back, he doesn’t want to taste wood. Dango reverses a suplex and slams Biff through the door! Dango wants to give Biff a lap dance? Biff atomic drops him onto a chair! He tries a dive but Dango sabu’s him. More chairs, another door.  Biff onto the makeshift table but he cuts off Dango on the top! Superplex through the door! Three count! This was awesome. The energy here was wild, my friend saying that “Biff might beat Timothy Thatcher in “murder face”.

What is a Demolition Derby Match? A fatal 4-way of trios. No tags. Only pinfalls & submissions. I expect this will just be a giant chaotic fight that I have no chance of recapping with ANY accuracy. XD this is a hell of a spot for a lot of these teams that have really come up on Wrestling Open (every Thursday in Worcester)! Ring the bell and it’s a huge brawl! This instantly spills out of the ring! Mane Event sets up the hoop dive but Mortar is the spoiler. Nolo takes to the air with a corkscrew to the floor! Big ol’ dive party to the floor! Even Mortar does a moonsault! Mane Event set up the hoop and Lyon flies off the stage! This is crazy action happening everywhere. I’m surprised this hasn’t hit the balcony yet. Everyone hates Mortar and he gets hit with a lot of moves. Uranages Mathers out of the corner! BCB catches miracle generation and sandwiches them. Time for these large men to run the table. Waller with a lethal injection! Chasing the Dragon on Cruz! Chase cut down by Ichiban! Shield Powerbomb from Miracle Ones to Chase to clear the ring. Mane Event hit the ring. Pop up flapjack to Waller for two! 12 men just start blasting finisher after finisher to each other! Everyone slowly recovering to their feet. They come in like it’s west side sorry and it’s a 6 on 6 back and forth brawl. Miracle Ones and Circus Ninjas wipe each other out. Triple 450’s! Brick & Mortar isolate Kitano but he tends them off solo! Mane Event with a double spear to BCB. Grand Finale to Mortar! H20 breaks it up! Midas dropped ribs first into the buckles and he looks dead. Miracle Ones hit the ring and grab Walker for a power plex and that closes this absolutely mad matchup out. This was nuts. Liked this a lot!

It’s a battle of Beyond’s Aces tonight! The crowd is well divided between these two. This starts super hot, Price avoids the doctor Bomb, Willow avoids the Suprize kick…these two know each other and are prepared! Price eats a superkick! High kick to a back breaker, senton to crossbody! Kick out! Price is taking a beating here. Willow almost gets the three on a crucifix. It’s REAL close! Price with a kick and starts dropping boots. They hug. “What the hell is this?!?” as a returning Becca comes out to berate Price for being such a good guy now. She screams that Alec left her behind and proceeds to throw shoes at him, threatening to throw his gear out. Price gets out of there and tries to talk Becca down as she walks him down to the back.

Winner: Alec Price

He blasts Akira in the head with the lid! Body slam onto the tacks! Lariat into the tacks! SLADE grinds his face into the tacks! Exploder suplex but SLADE is smiling as tacks bury themselves into his back. SLADE grabs cinder blocks! Oh noooooo….. smash him with the can. Set up the cinder blocks. Crockett and Bakabella are super uncomfortable at the level the violence is escalating to. SLADE gets backdropped onto the cinder blocks! Owwwwwww. Akira whips a can into his head! SLADE coming at him with the cinder block…tripped and he cracks his face! German into the tacks! STF in the tacks! Akira shoves tacks into his mouth! Spitting tacks into SLADE’s eyes! He puts a cinder block on AKIRA’s head and throws another cinder block down, crushing both and keeping Akira down for the three. Holy f*** that finish was nuts. My friend said “Haha. So much violence. Somehow less blood than Biff vs Slade.” Fair point, this match almost SHOULD have been awash with crimson. Still wildly ultraviolent. Great closer.

Winner: SLADE

As a reminder for everyone, SLADE is getting a shot at AC Mack’s IWTV championship in the near future.
