Ep. 304 “Emo Young Bucks”

We see sad Chuck Taylor (shot in black & white with melancholy piano music playing) looking at his Best Friends shirt, upset over the defection of Wheeler Yuta to BCC. He takes the shirt and cuts Yuta’s skull head logo out of it. He puts it on, nipple exposed, looking at his own sad face in the mirror.

Brandon Cutler tries to host the show but the Bucks take control. They tell Cutler the 18-49 demo is down and nobody wants to see him. Travel montage to Pittsburgh.

Bucks are upset. They aren’t in their flashy clothes or expensive shoes. They tell Cutler they’re just EVPs today and won’t wrestle.

The Dark Order are talking about Forbidden Door PPV and start making fun of various NJPW stars. Reynolds does the Naito pose. They start running down Suzuki Gun and in walks the Murder Grandpa himself, Minoru Suzuki. The Dark Order shuts up immediately and stands at attention. Suzuki walks by looks at TDO then stares into the camera and walks away. John Silver says Danhausen looks really weird without his make up. Uno calls John an idiot.

Ryan Nemeth voices over a montage of him wrestling while plugging his short film “HEEL”. He says he’s the only superstar who is undefeated and has an award winning film. He calls himself “The Leading Man”.

Bucks are sulking with their backs to the camera upset Brandon is filming them. In walks Matt & Jeff Hardy. Matt tells the Bucks that they came to AEW to have matches with great tag teams but especially the Bucks. He tells them they can’t get upset about it, they’ve got to dust themselves off and get back at it. Jeff runs down some of the ridiculous tag teams they’ve lose to like “Head Cheese”.  Matt says if they’re going to pout maybe this isn’t the dream match they thought it was. Jeff says maybe the real dream match is FTR. This pisses off Nick. Nick tells Brandon he better not put that footage in BTE. The Hardys comes back into the room and say stop being emo and get their over their bullshit.

Nick continues to rundown Cutler but Matt says he knows what will make them feel better, watching Cutler get his ass kicked. They bring in Nakazawa who introduces Konosuke Takeshita. Bucks tell Cutler he’s a better wrestler and videographer than him. And they’re going to have Takeshita wrestle Cutler on Dark Elevation. When he wins he’s getting three contracts. 

Cutler is by himself upset with The Bucks looking for some candy. Adam Cole approaches and asks what’s going on. Cutler says he wants a pink Starburst and Cole does the behind your ear trick and gives Cutler the candy. Cutler is astounded and asks how he did that. Cole looks into the camera and says “it’s magic bay bay”.

We get a blooper clip of the Hardys running down every team they’ve lost too. Jeff starts saying “we’ve lost to everybody” with Daniels popping into frame giving Jeff team names. Matt brings up they lost to Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. Jeff says yeah “I got pinned by Paul Heyman” and they laugh. Daniels starts naming all the teams he and Kaz lost too. Jeff says “I guess were losers” and they laugh.
