This weekend's edition of Ring of Honor TV on the Sinclair Broadcast Group affiliates will be the final episode in the series, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
There had been no official announcement that this would be the final episode, but not other episodes have or will be produced and the series will quietly fade away after this weekend.
The series debuted the weekend of 3/21/09 and produced 552 one-hour episodes in total. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the plan was to go live weekly with a two-hour studio show format with a live audience but those plans were scuttled when COVID took hold and ROH never returned to that plan.
This weekend's episode features the following classic bouts:
*ROH Champion Roderick Strong vs. Eddie Edwards - ROH Manhattan Mayhem - 3/19/11.
*ROH Champion Jay Briscoe vs. ROH Television Champion Jay Lethal - ROH Best in the World - 6/19/15.
*ROH Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham vs. Dak Draper - ROH 19th Anniversary Show - 3/26/21.
After this weekend's run on the Sinclair Broadcast Group, the series will also complete its runs on Stadium, CHARGE, the New England Sports Network and FITE.TV.
Ring of Honor performers and championships are now under the control of Tony Khan by virtue of Khan purchasing the promotion and are currently being seen on AEW events and broadcasts, likely in advance of ROH being spun out into whatever its new, future broadcast strategy turns out to be.
