AEW POST-BATTLE OF THE BELTS TAPING DARK RESULTS INCLUDING THE HARDYS

By Billy Krotchsen on 2022-04-15 23:05:00

After Battle of the Belts II:

AEW President Tony Khan came out and said they had a few extra matches for us before they send us home.

No idea if or where these will air, but they put the AEW Dark ring aprons back up.

Penta Oscura defeated QT Marshall after snapping his arm.  Marshall did a lot of mic work on the way out and during the early portion of the bout.

Abadon defeated Charlotte Renegade with a DDT variation.

The main event saw The Hardys & Frankie Kazarian & Top Flight defeat Max Caster & Private Party & The Blade & Angelico when Jeff pinned Marq Quen with a swanton.

After the match, Tony Khan said they had some friends who want to say goodnight to Texas, some of Matt Hardy's best friends.  Out came Danhausen and Orange Cassidy.   Khan then said they could "send" someone and out came Hook.  He walked out, acknowledged the crowd and went right to the back.  Khan thanked the crowd and gave Matt and Jeff Hardy the ring.

Matt said he was proud to be a member of AEW and seeing the future stars like Top Flight turning into the future of tag team wrestling and to get to team with an amazing veteran like Kaz.  He said he was happy Danhausen hasn't cursed him yet.  Matt said he had issues with Cassidy in the past and asked him to accept his apology.  Cassidy gave him a thumbs up.  He said he was thrilled to be teaming with Jeff again for the best run of their career, in AEW.  He thanked Dallas for their support and asked the fans to give themselves a round of applause.  The place popped and chanted for the Hardys.  Matt called for the Hardy's theme and asked everyone to dance with Jeff.  Everyone but Cassidy did the dance.

They closed out with everyone doing the Best Friends hug.
