MLW FUSION REPORT: OPENWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH, CONTINUING TO LOOK AT HAMMERSTONE, AND MORE

Your announcers are Joe Dombrowski and Rich Bocchini.

We begin with Cesar Duran on the phone talking about the investigation against him.

Rivera comes to the ring with Julius Smokes.

He says he is here with Julius Smokes, but without Slice Boogie. Slice is not here because when he got off the plane with LAX, we were confronted by the boys in blue. They were asked about why did they jump the Von Erichs. Rivera says he replied sarcastically and said it is because it is his body, his choice. Slice was taken to the pen. Rivera says he is going to go bail out Slice.

The Von Erichs talk about beating us up but they keep running. They are weak like their father.

The Von Erichs’ music plays and they give Smokes a double clothesline on the ramp.

Marshall and Ross stand on the apron and Hernandez comes out and hits Marshall in the back of the head with a chair. He sends Ross into the ring. Rivera and Hernandez attack Ross and Hernandez with a back breaker to Ross Hernandez with a double sledge to Marshall. Rivera sets up a table on the floor. Ross with forearms to Hernandez and they have no effect. Marshall is sent to the floor and Ross punches Rivera. Hernandez with a double sledge to the back and Rivera punches Ross. Hernandez gets Ross up and he sends Ross through the table on the floor with a border toss.

Marshall goes after Smokes, Rivera, and Hernandez while officials check on Ross.

We go to Cesar Duran and he says every investigation needs witnesses but they keep coming up missing. This bulls*** witch hunt is over. Duran says he wants to know what the best fighting style is.

Mads Krugger enters the office and Krugger says he took care of Bestia and Jacob Fatu. There is one man he has hunted from the first day he was in MLW. He tells Duran to say his name.

Duran says Hammerstone.

Krugger asks Duran to let him end Hammerstone.

Duran agrees to give Krugger what he wants.

TJP says he finds himself in this dirt hole, Dallas, again. TJP tells the people to try harder. He says all eyes are on you because you are standing next to me. Last time I stood in this ring, I had to entertain an open door and took one of your favorite indie darlings so bad he had to ask Tony Khan for a job. TJP says he has closed the door and he is going to deal with some internal business.

Match Number One: TJP versus Matt Cross

They lock up and TJP with a waist lock and Cross with a standing switch. TJP with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. TJP with an arm drag into an arm bar. TJP with a wrist lock and he gets a near fall. Cross with a wrist lock and TJP with a single leg trip for a near fall. Cross with a leg sweep and cover for a near fall. They lock up and TJP with a wrist lock. Cross with a reversal. TJP with a reversal and head scissors take down. Cross with a head scissors.

TJP with a head stand. TJP misses a kick and Cross with a rollup. Cross with a head scissors take down and TJP goes to the floor. Cross with a kick through the ropes and a pescado. Cross sends TJP into the ring and Cross goes up top. TJP crotches Cross and Cross falls to the mat. TJP stomps the hands. TJP with a back breaker and he goes to the apron for a slingshot senton and he gets a near fall. TJP stomps on the hand again. Cross with forearms and chops. TJP goes to the apron and slides back into the ring. TJP with a Boston Crab and he turns it into a rocking chair. TJP hyper-extends the arm and leg and gets a near fall. TJP with a face wash nd a running boot to the head. TJP goes to the floor and Cross with a suicide dive. Cross sends TJP back into the ring and Cross goes up top and leaps over TJP. Cross with clotheslines and a handspring elbow in the corner and a springboard cross body.

Cross goes up top and TJP stops him on the turnbuckles. TJP goes for a superplex but Cross blocks it. Cross sends TJP to the mat and Cross with a double stomp to the back for a near fall. Cross gets TJP on his shoulders and TJP gets to his feet and hits a thrust kick. TJP floats over Cross and hits a tornado DDT. TJP with a punch and Cross punches back. TJP with a European uppercut and forearms. Cross with a rolling elbow. TJP with a belly-to-back suplex. TJP goes up top and misses a swanton when Cross moves. Cross gets TJP up but TJP counters with an Octopus bomb for a near fall. TJP gets Cross up and Cross escapes and gets a rollup. Cross blocks a Detonation Kick and Cross with a Cross Cutter and Shooting Star Press for the three count.

Winner: Matt Cross

We go to commercial.

We go to Alexander Hammerstone.

Hammerstone says Richard Holliday was his best friend for three years. They were always together since he joined MLW. When Max left The Dynasty it was just the two of them. That friendship was more than just what was on TV. Hammerstone asked Holliday about what to do when he was offered an extension. When his girlfriend was diagnosed with cancer, I called Holliday about it. When I won the title, Holliday was the first to pat him on the back.

How much of it was an act?

Apparently this is it. You weren’t proud of me, you were jealous of me. I will give it to you. You got my blood all over the place at Super Fight. You got the people talking about you. People were talking about how great Davey Richards and I were in the ring.

After all of the lies, you feel special. Do you want to know what makes me special. Ring the bell. The match will happen in Philadelphia. There won’t be any Air Pods and coffee. It won’t be about how many times you kiss Alicia. It is about you and me. All of this work you put in and the games you played will take you to a place you don’t want to be.

We go to Alex Kane who is ambushed by someone with a video camera. Kane is asked if he is protesting tonight’s match. Kane says this isn’t fair. He does not know what Cesar is thinking. Kane says they need to add more people. I will suplex and tap them all out. I want all styles. He says to add a Super Heavyweight tot he match. He says he is the best pound for pound in MLW. He says he is the ultimate hybrid wrestler. Alex says he is begging the entire locker room to keep up.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Taya Valkyrie is coming to MLW.

Match Number Two: Holidead (with Dr. Dax and Gangrel) versus Shazza McKenzie

They lock up and Holidead sends McKenzie to the mat. They lock up and Holidead backs McKenzie into the corner and she chops McKenzie. McKenzie avoids Holidead and chops her. McKenzie with a rollup for a near fall. McKenzie kicks Holidead to the floor and McKenzie goes up top. McKenzie with a cross body to Dax when Holidead moves. McKenzie with a cross body but Holidead catches McKenzie and runs McKenzie’s head into the turnbuckles and hits a Samoan drop.

Holidead chokes McKenzie and then bites McKenzie. Holidead kicks McKenize in the corner and connects with an elbow. Holidead with an Irish whip but she runs into a boot. McKenzie with a head scissors out of the corner. Holidead with a boot to the head and boots to McKenzie. Holidead puts McKenzie in the tree of woe and chokes McKenzie. Dax chokes McKenzie when the referee was distracted by Holidead.

Holidead with a drop kick but she misses a running boot. McKenzie trips Holidead and puts her in the ropes. McKenzie with a series of kicks to the chest. Holidead with a uranage into a flatliner for a near fall. Holidead gets Shazza up but Shazza escaaes. Holidead with a Tomikaze for the three count.

Winner: Holidead

After the match, Rich interviews Holidead. He asks her if she is the leader of the Strange Sangre group. She says that Gangrel is the master of pain. Rich asks about the Featherweight Title Tournament. She says she has no plans to compete in the Featherweight Division. The entire division will surrender to her or there will be a bounty of pretty faces in the ring.

We go to Cesar Duran and he is playing a guitar. He sys now that the investigation is over. I’m coming back with more cunning and more vengeful.

Jacob Fatu shows up and he says he was told he would get a rematch. Now he is asking for something from Cesar. He wants to make something happen.

Duran says he will forgive the fact that he interrupted his music. He will add Fatu to the World Title Match and make it a Triple Threat Match. Fatu says Krugger and Hammerstone to bother him. He says he does not care who it is because he is walking out with his title. Fatu tells Duran if he continues f***ng playing with him. He is going to kill his whole group.

We go to commercial.

We take a look at Alex Hammerstone.

We see him beating Jacob Fatu for the MLW World Championship. He says that he tells people he does not get nervous any more and he does not have the pre-match butterflies, but on that night he did. Everything he has been doing for ten plus years culminated in this moment so he better not screw it up. He says this has been a wild ride. He talks about being happy getting to certain points, and he got there. Now he is at the top but it doesn’t feel like the top when he got there.

Now it is about moving this brand forward. Look at the past champions. Was Jacob Fatu a great champion? Yes he was. Now I have to be a better champion than him. I have to be champion longer than him, have more title defenses than him. I have to have more memorable matches than him and on a bigger scale.

It feels like there is more to do. It is not time to kick back and relax. I am more motivated than ever. A fire is lit under my ass to take it to a different level. We are thrown into the discussion of the best companies and the best champions. Our talent is just as good as anywhere else and it is about the exposure. I am here to be a representative of the company. It is more than being in the ring with this guy or that guy. I am at the top of the mountain and come get some.

You can learn all of the styles. When I throw that blend of styles at you, that makes me more dangerous.

We go to Alicia Atout and Richard Holliday and Alicia says that when they make a documentary it should be about someone special like you. Holliday cannot believe this company is spending money talk about Hammerstone’s past? Holliday says he does not care about what he was like as a kid. He says that Alex was a little bitch and he had to enhance himself. Holliday says that he went to university and earned a degree while Hammerstone dropped out. Holliday says he is a champion and it will be him. Holliday says he will take that title from him and it will be the best thing ever. Holliday says he cannot wait until the gold is on him.

Alicia says that Cesar is back and that could be good for them.

Holliday asks why and Alicia tells him to shush.

Myron Reed says that Little Cesar wants to add a heavyweight to this title match. Reed says he cannot get angry about this. It is more weight to be added to the history he is going to make tonight. If he believes it, he needs to make everyone believe. He says he will be a double champion and he will defend the title all over the world against anyone. I am going to add more accolades to my name. Now I am going to execute.

Match Number Three: Alex Kane (with Mr. Thomas) versus ACH versus Puma King versus Juicy Finau versus Myron Reed for the MLW National Openweight Championship

Kane goes after Finau before the bell rings and bounces off Finau. ACH, Reed, and Puma go after Finau and he fights them all off. Finau with a power slam to ACH and then a shoulder tackle to Puma. Finau presses Reed over his head and drops him to the mat. ACH and Reed avoid a double clothesline and hit a double drop kick. Finau runs through Reed and ACH. Finau catches Puma. ACH and Reed with a double super kick to Finau. Puma kicks ACH and Reed. Puma with a head scissors tO ACH and Reed with a head scissors to Puma.

ACH with a rana to Reed for a near fall. Puma kicks ACH and then he blocks a kick from Reed. Puma flips Reed. Puma kicks Reed in the back. Puma with a springboard cross body to Kane on the floor. Finau catches Reed on a plancha. ACH with a suicide dive onto Finau and Reed. ACH with a suicide dive to Puma.

We go to commercial.

We are back and ACH with a round kick to Kane and a German suplex for a near fall. Reed misses a kick to ACH. ACH with a waist lock. Reed misses a round kick and ACH with a neck breaker to Reed for a near fall. ACH with forearms to Finau followed by a chop. Finau gets ACH on his shoulders and Reed is caught by Finau who hits a double Samoan drop on ACH and Reed.

A masked man attacks Reed on the floor and sends him into the guardrails. Kane with a swinging neck breaker and reverse stretch muffler suplex into a cross face and Puma taps out.

Winner: Alex Kane (retains championship)

After the match, Alex Kane and Mr. Thomas come over to Calvin Tankman at the announce table and Myron Reed gets in the middle. Tankman and Thomas push each other and EJ Nduka shows up. Kane hits Tankman with a chair to the back.
