THE FIRST POTENTIAL MEMBER OF THE FIFTH MCMAHON WWE GENERATION DISCUSSES POTENTIALLY ENTERING WRESTLING

By Mike Johnson on 2022-04-07 13:05:00

Last night, Declan McMahon, the son of Shane McMahon announced his commitment to play Football at Indiana University.

Today, Declan, 18, was interviewed by The Indianapolis Star about the decision and was asked the obvious question about potentially working one day for WWE.

"I've tried it in my house," McMahon said. "I have two younger brothers, so if we're joking around I'll pick them up and throw them on the couch. I'm going in with the mindset that I'll cross that bridge when we get there. So right now no plans yet, but down the road, who knows? If I have to jump off a cage like my father, maybe that's what I'll do."

On growing up around WWE personalities and executives, Declan commented, "As a kid it's been great because you get to look up to guys you look at as super heroes.  Then you see them come home and they're banged up. They don't really look like heroes when there you're parents. Just being around everybody, I think it's helped me build my character, just being mature as a young age."

Should Declan one day join the company, he would be the first-ever fifth-generation McMahon, following his great-great grandfather Jess McMahon, his great-grandfather Vincent J. McMahon, his grandparents Vince and Linda McMahon, his aunt and uncle, Paul Levesque and Stephanie McMahon-Levesque and obviously his parents, Shane and Marissa McMahon.
