It is Wednesday and it’s time for AEW Dynamite. We are in Boston Massachusetts at the Agganis Arena, the commentary is team is Jim Ross, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone.
Adam Cole vs Christian Cage

They lock and and go to the corner when Christian breaks clean. Christian is able to take Cole down with a waist lock. They work to their feet and Cage gets a headlock. Cole fights his way free and tossed Cage into he ropes. Cage knocks Cole down with a shoulder block. Cole takes over after a kick to Cage’s midsection, and then works him to the corner and keep up the assault. After they break, Cage goes for the Kill switch and Cole rolls out of the ring. Cole gets in the ring, spits at Cage, and then Cole goes to run to the other side of the ring. Cage is able to beat him to the other side and take over a brawl outside the ring.
When they return to the ring, the fight on to top, and Cole escapes and knocks down Cage leaving him tied to the tree of woe. Cole kicks him in the face and Cole fall to the mat and rolls out of the ring. They brawl outside the ring with Cole in command this time. They go to picture in picture
When they return to full screen, Cole is taunting Cage, and then runs at him, and Cage flips him over the top ropes to the floor. Cage then leaps onto Cole and Cole is able to hit Cage with a knee and both men are down. They roll into the ring and trade blows in the middle of the ring. Cole drops Cage with a kick. Cole goes to the middle rope and leaps into a boot from Cage. Cage then mounts him on the turnbuckle and hits ten blows the crowd counts along with. Cage rolls up Cole for a two count. Cage gets a swinging DDT from the middle rope for a two count.
Cage goes for the Kill switch and Cole escapes. The fight in the corner and Cole gets a back stabber and a two count. Cage grabs a quicmk cradle for a two count as Cole is yelling at him. Christian then goes to the top and misses a diving headbutt. Cole nails Cage with a series of kicks and a knee strike for a two count.
They trade blows on their knees. They fight to their feet and Cole gets hung up on the ropes for Cage to stand on his back. Cage leaps off the ropes into a kick by Cole who then covers for a two count. Cole goes up to the top and Cage hits him with an upper cut, followed by a Hurricanrana and a two count. Cage runs into a kick from Cole. Cole goes for the Panama Sunrise and Cage blocks it. Cole hits a pump kick and pulls down the knee pad for the boom knee. Cole misses the knee and Cage rolls him up for a two count.
Cage hits a spear and gets a two count. Cage sets up for the kill switch and Cole puts his foot in the ropes to break the hold. Cole pocks Cage in the eye and then hits the boom knee for the three count.
Winner: Adam Cole
reDRagon attack Cage after the match and Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus run them off. Adam Page comes out and Cole says he won’t fight him unless the belt is on the line. Page gets in the ring and goes face to face with Cole. Page says he will give him the match and it will be his punishment. They have a live Rampage in Texas, so the match will be a Texas Death Match.
Page tells Cole to get his affairs in order.
We then get a video package of Jay Lethal turning heel at the Ring of Honor PPV last week as well as Samoa Joe’s return.

Samoa Joe vs Max Caster In an Owen Hart Memorial Qualifying Tournament match
Max jacks his jaw at Joe and Joe head butts him down after enough talking. Joe stomps a mud hole in him in the corner and then lays him the chops. Joe tosses him to the far corner and then kicks him down again. Max is tossed to the outside and Joe then leaps out fo the ring onto him. Bowens distracts Joe and Max is able to attack Joe and toss him into the ring. Max gets in a series of blows that just makes Joe mad. Joe knocks him down, then puts him up top, hits the muscle buster and covers for the three.
Winner: Samoa Joe
In the back, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt taunt him. Jay says that Joe didn’t answer Jay’s calls. Jay said if he knew Joe was coming, he would have rolled out the red carpet, but next week, he will have a present for Joe.
In the back, Tony is with the Black Pool Combat club and goes over their upcoming matches. William Regal puts over his charges. Jon Moxley says he will destroy Wheeler Yuta with a colorful and violent allusion to weather.
Shawn Spears vs Captain Shawn Dean
MJF comes out before the match starts and he will be on commentary.
They lock up and trade waist locks, and Spears is able to slam Dean and then tosses him out of the ring. Spears rolls out and points out the sign banning Wardlow from the arena. Dean is tossed back into the ring and Spears chops him down in the corner. Dean reverses it and chops at Spears. Spears is able to get a pump handle neck breaker and a two count, but Spears pulls up Dean on two.
Spears picks up Dean, and we see on the Big Screen that Security has been taken out. Spears drops Dean and we see Wardlow in coming through the back. He takes out security as they try to stop him one at a time.
Wardlow keep dropping security on his way to the commentary table. At ringside, three security guards grab Wardlow.
And as that is happening, Dean is able to get a quick rolls up and a three count.
Your winner: Captain Shawn Dean
MJF takes to the ring as Wardlow is dragged out.
In the back, Tony is with the Best Friends and Chuck says that he still loves him,. And Beretta interrupts and says that Yuta is a traitor and should watch what he will do to the Black Pool Combat Club.
Sammy comes to the stage with his cue cards as we go to commercial. He and Tay Conti mock America’s Top Team with his cards.
We are then shown that Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz attacked the Jericho Appreciation Society before the show, and the JAS escaped in their SUV.
Kingston, Santana and Ortiz come from the back and Kingston says they don’t wait for music. Eddie says he will attack Jericho and his people on sight. Santana calls them scrubs and they better bring their hardest fight because this is what they do. Ortiz says they should come fight them in New Orleans.
We then get a video of Hook not being able to be cursed by Danhausen.
It’s time for Tony to talk to Jade Cargill. Jade is here to introduce her Baddies section. Mark Sterling says it was hard to find good looking people in Boston. He says that Marina Shefir is not allowed in the baddies section. Jade says that Shefir says she is The Problem, but she is the problem solver
Alex is with MJF and Shawn Spears, and Alex is cut off by MJF who says there will be twice as many guards next week. He then challenges Captain Shawn Dean for next week.
Butcher and Blade vs The Hardys in a table match
Butcher is not wearing his monocle and I despair that he may never wear it again.
Butcher and Blade pull of table legs and the brawl begins. We have table in the ring and a table is set up in the corner. Blade runs at Jeff, Jeff dodges and Blade goes through the table, but it’s not a win since you have to go through a table due to a offensive maneuver. Butcher tries to drop Matt through a table on the outside and Matt escapes out the back and hits him with a chair.
They go to the ring and set Butcher on a table. Jeff goes tot he top and Blade knocks Jeff off the top. Jeff is then set up on the table. Jeff is driven through the table but it does not break, so no win yet. We go to picture in picture
When they return to full screen, Jeff had been eliminated. Matt is beating down Butcher with a chair, put him on a table, goes to the top and leaps onto Butcher, putting him through the table and eliminating him.
Matt goes to attack Blade, and dodges, caushign Matt to go through a table, but not an elimination. Blade goes into the ring to help Butcher. He then start crawlign with Matt on the floor. Butcher stays to help set up tables since it’s no DQ. Matt rolls off a table as Blade goes to the top. Butcher and Blade follow Matt into the crowd. They try to suplex Matt into the ringside area from the barricade, and Jeff had pulled the table out of the way.
Jeff keeps up the attack on Butcher and Blade. Matt hits a twist of fate on Blade on the floor. Jeff pulls out a laddewr and uses it to attack Butcher and Blade. Butcher gets a twist of fate from Matt. Matt and Jeff set up two tables and a ladder. Blade gets laid out on the table and Jeff climbs to the top. Jeff hits a swanton through the table, and even though Jeff had been eliminated, him puttign Blade through a table means they win.
Winner: The Hardys
Andrade and the rest of his group come from the back. He calls for them to slowly walk to the ring as Matt and Jeff are in the ring. This gives time for Sting to come out with his bat. He takes out Private Party and Andrade holds Bunny in front of him so that Sting won’t attack him.
In the back, Christian Cage is with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. Jungle Boy calls out reDRagon, and says their record isn’t good enough for a title match, so they will challenge them for a title match next week.
We get a video package of Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero calling out Thunder Rosa. Rosa says they will meet at Battle of the Belts.
Tony is the back with Jamie Hayter and Toni Storm who have made it into the Owen Hart Tournament. They face off and have words.
Julia Hart vs Hikaru Shida in an Owen Hart Tournament Qualifying Match
Hart is still wearing an eye patch.
Hart kicks Shida before the bell and they chokes her with her varsity jacket. Hart sends the Varsity Blondes to the back and runs into Shida dropping her on the top turnbuckle. Shida kicks her down and then goes under the ring to pull out a chair. Shida uses the chair as a launch pad for a running drop kick. She tosses Hart back in the ring. Hart kicks Shida on her way into the ring. She mounts Shida for a series of blows as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Shida beats Hart down to the mat and just keeps punching. Shida tosses Hart6 to the corner and then hits a running knee strike. Hart dodges the knee strike. Shida pulls her into the ring with a suplex from the top and covers for a two count. Shida pulls Hart up and Hart goes for Shdia’s eyes. Hart hits a bulldog headlock for a two count. Hart goes to the top and misses a knee strike from the top. Shida hits a spining knee strike, followed by a falcon arrow and covers for the three count.
Winner: Hikaru Shida
Serena Deeb’s music plays, and Shida is able to turn as see Deeb enter the ring from the opposite side from the stage with a chair. They face off and Deeb backs out of the ring.
Alex is in the back with Swerve Strickland. He talks about his time at the Grammys. He says he hasn’t forgotten what Team Taz did to him. And when he goes to leave, they is attacked by Team Taz, but Keith Lee joins with him to take them down.
Excalibur runs down the card for Friday night Rampage and Dynamite next week.
FTR (Double Champions) vs The Young Bucks for the AAA and Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships.
Oh, you KNOW this will be bullet points.
Bobby Cruise from Ring of Honor does the ring announcements. That makes this old ROH fan happy.
The Bucks get booed and throw their jackets at FTR.
Matt and Cash start the match, They lock up a couple of times before going to the corner with Cash in control
Cash and Matt trade headlocks and Cash tosses Matt out of the ringside
Cash takes Matt down with a drop toe hold and Dax tags in as Nick tags in as well.
They run the ropes with Cash getting a scoop slam. Dax is able to get an arm bar take down
Matt is tagged in and all four men get in the ring, but they go back to their corners.
Matt cheap shots Dax and Cash does the same to Nick
All four men in the ring trading blows
Cash tags in and locks on a sharp shooter. Nick runs in and gets locked into one as well by Dax
The holds are broken and Bucks double team Cash
Cash is kept in the ring as the Bucks work him over with quick tags
Cash is tossed out of the ring as we go picture in picture
When we return to full screen, Cash is able to go for the hot tag, but Nick super kicks Dax, stopping the tag
Cash is tossed to the corner and Nick goes for a kick, but he dodges, and the kick hits Matt instead. Really cool sequence, I liked that
Cash is able to get a hot tag and Dax cleans house
Dax gets a pile driver and a two count on Matt
Matt is put on the top, and Dax is knocked down. FTR is able to fight off the Bucks.
Dax gets tagged by Cash and they set up for the power plex, and Dax hits his part, but Cash is knocked down by Nick.
All four men are down
Nick tags in and they hit a bulldog drop kick combo on Cash
They double team him, but when Nick goes out of the ring, Dax gets a brain buster on the floor.
Cash hits a reverse face plant on Matt for a two count
Matt is able to block the Big Rig and Nick distracts the ref for Matt to get in a low blow
The Bucks hit a Big Rig on Cash for a two count
The Bucks hit More Bang For Your Buck for a two count
Matt keeps covering for two counts
Nick grabs one of the ROH belts. Dax grabs it and they have a tug of war as Cash gets a rollup for a two count
Cash gets hit with the belt and Matt grabs a handful of tights for a two count with Cash breaking up the pin
Nick is tagged in
They hit the BTE trigger and Cash gets a foot on the ropes
Matt is tagged in and thew crowd is loud for FTR
FTR hits a combo sling shot slam and a tombstone pile driver. FTR hits a BTE trigger on Matt, then a Big Rig for the three count and the win!
Winners and still double champions: FTR
Probably the Bucks’ best match in a long time. Well put together and tons of action.
