Owens hits a C-Trigger on Jado. Owens pins Jado.
Bullet Club holds Jado as Gedo is about to hit him with brass knuckles. Guerillas of Destiny make the save and chase Bullet Club from the ring.
TAKA Michinoku and El Desperado vs. Dick Togo and SHO
SHO comes to the ring with Desperado's torn mask which he ripped off his head several days ago.
Suzuki-Gun attacks before the bell. Wild match. Togo goes for his piano wire. The referee stops him. SHO hits a low blow on Desperado. SHO blasts TAKA with his wrench. Togo grabs Desperado and makes him watch as SHO traps TAKA in the Snake Bite. The referee stops the match. House of Torture wins.
A video plays showing photos of Jr. Heavyweights like Desperado, BUSHI and Hiromu Takahashi. Will Ospreay appears in the video and lights a Zippo. He says that that the Jr. Division has not been the same since he left the Division. He said it must be burned down. He continues saying from these ashes he will build his new empire. And there is no one better to help him than his his new protege. Ospreay hands the lighter to an open hand who burns the photos of the Jr's. One name flashes on the screen "BRUCIARE".
YOH, Togi Makabe, YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. Aaron Henare, Will Ospreay, Great O-Khan and Jeff Cobb
Fast paced match. YOH was a bump machine for the United Empire.
Ospreay pinned YOH after a Hidden Blade.
O-Khan and Cobb took the Bo staffs from YOSHI-HASHI and Goto. Ospreay hit YOSHI-HASHI from behind. United Empire choked out CHAOS with there own staffs. They were about to hit CHAOS with the staffs until the young lions jumped O-Khan and Cobb. Goto and YOSHI-HASHI got there staffs back and United Empire retreated.
Tetsuya Naito and Hiromu Takahashi vs. Yujiro Takahashi and EVIL, with Dick Togo
House of Torture attacks before the bell. Hiromu and EVIL tore into each other, as if they wanted to kill each other.
Hiromu dropped Yujiro with a super kick and Naito followed with a Jackknife roll up pin
After the match, Hiromu stole the NEVER belt and teased EVIL to come take it from him. House of Torture retreats. Naito and Hiromu mess with each other in the ring. Hiromu tells the fans that in a few days he will own this NEVER belt.
Toru Yano and Kazuchika Okada vs. Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr.
In the middle of the match, Taichi lays out Yano. Taichi removes the ring ropes with the help of ringside officials. Taichi and Yano have a Sumo match and try to throw each other out of the ring. Very dangerous. ZSJ tags in and traps Yano in a triangle choke. Okada breaks it up and ZSJ traps Okada in a Octopus lock. He then hits Okada with Zack Driver. Okada rolls out of the ring. Yano attacks ZSJ but ZSJ rolls Yano and grabs his left leg and left arm and pulls back in a submission. Yano gives up.
Zack takes the mic and tells Okada that his time is up. He says you are the same wrestler that he was 4 years ago and you are tired. ZSJ says he is not tired. In 4 years since his last New Japan Cup win, ZSJ says he has gotten better. ZSJ says Strong Style is dead. Tekkers is the new Style. He says Taichi is the new King of Pro Wrestling and he will be the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. Dangerous Tekkers pose in the ring with the New Japan Cup Trophy and KOPW Trophy.
There will be two shows which will not be broadcast on New Japan World. So the next New Japan event will be on April 9.
Predictions for Hyper Battle '22:
IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championship: Master Wato and Ryusuke Taguchi vs. El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori
Wato and Taguchi just began teaming at Wrestle Kingdom and won the titles soon after. They have been working well as a team. Bullet Club do not need the titles now. Wato and Taguchi should win here.
KOPW 2022 Trophy: Toru Yano vs. Taichi
This is a comedy match. Yano wins.
NEVER Openweight Championship: Hiromu Takahashi vs. EVIL
I expect this match to be a brutal fight. Hiromu has proven he can beat EVIL. EVIL is looking for revenge. I see EVIL retaining the title here. The NEVER title is the top belt that Bullet Club has. They cannot lose it now.
IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship: YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. Great O-Khan and Jeff Cobb
Personally, I feel O-Khan and Cobb have accomplished enough to earn and hold any title in New Japan. Unfortunately, I see YOSHI-HASHI and Goto retaining here. They are a popular team and are CHAOS teammates with Kazuchika Okada.
IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship: El Desperado vs SHO
SHO has become a great heel. When the crowd is screaming in anger at SHO's actions, he is doing his job the right way. I see this match being a brutal fight similar to Hiromu and EVIL. I also expect House of Torture to interfere. Since SHO holds the NEVER Openweight 6 Man titles with the House of Torture, Desperado should retain the title here. One man cannot hold multiple titles, when there is the danger of injury. (See IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion SANADA with a broken orbital bone.) I do think this could be just the beginning of feud. In May, the Best of the Super Juniors is back, and I could see SHO working his way back up to face Desperado again in the summer.
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Kazuchika Okada vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
I expect ZSJ to have the same strategy he used to beat Shingo Takagi and Tetsuya Naito in the New Japan Cup. If he sticks to submissions and avoid striking, he has a chance. However, I am picking Okada to win. For this 50th anniversary year, I can see Okada facing a variety of challengers and beating them all, which would cement his legacy as one of the best New Japan wrestlers in history.
