Troy got a nice ovation after recovering.
Davey Richards vs. Mike Bailey.
As you might imagine, some really good mat wrestling back and forth. How Bailey is still standing after the weekend he's had, I have no idea. Richards worked over Bailey. He finally made a comeback with a series of kicks, drilling Richards to the floor. Bailey hit a dive to the outside. Back in the ring, he drilled Davey with a series of different kicks. Richards finally took him down and tied up Bailey on the mat, grapevining his leg and trying to make him tap out. Bailey fought his way to the ropes and went outside to the apron. Richards followed him and nailed a series of hard kicks to the chest, over and over.
Bailey fired back with kicks of his own and they went back and forth until Richards grabbed his leg, pulled it into the ring and snapped it. Richards went for a move on the apron but Bailey grabbed a leg and snapped him down to the apron, then hit a backflip into a kneedrop. Bailey went to the top, where Richards met him. The USA -2, The World - 1
Really damn good match.
Gringo Loco & Flip Gordon & Caleb Konley vs. Aeroboy & Aramis & Arez.
Some fun stuff here. Gringo Loco has really improved over the last year. Nice to see Konley in this since Impact usually just uses him for sillier fare. This was really too much to do PBP on but if you enjoy lucha, there were a lot of submissions and multi-person spots before setting up a series of fast dives and moonsaults to the floor. Konley was triple-teamed and covered under a pile but Loco made the save. They went into ANOTHER series of dives. Really, really fun stuff. Team Mexico triple-teamed Gordon. They nailed Team U.S. with finishers at the same time and scored triplicate pins.
Your winners, Aeroboy & Aramis & Arez!
U.S. -2, The World -2 (tied)
Bandido & Extreme Tiger vs. JD Drake & Anthony Henry.
Henry and Tiger started off. Drake tagged in, so Bandido tagged in. Drake said, "I don't do your lucha sh**" which elicited a "Lucha sh**" chant. Bandido tried to do some lucha takedowns, to which Drake argued he doesn't lucha. Drake finally ended up doing a lucha roll during an exchange and the place popped. Then, he whipped out a hurancanrana, which everyone went nuts for. He then dropped and locked on a chinlock, which the crowd booed.
Henry and Tiger tagged in and battled back and forth. He and Drake doubleteamed Tiger, who kicked up. Drake nailed a big headbutt for a two count. He missed a Vader Bomb off the buckles. Henry and Bandido tagged in. Bandido nailed a spinning corkscrew dive. He then followed up with a running flip dive to the floor. Lots of back and forth kicks and moves and pinfall attempts.
Drake began unloading big chops on everyone. Lots of nearfalls with everyone breaking them up. Henry was elevated into a cutter by Bandido. Bandido pressed and slammed Drake. Bandido hit the springboard back suplex on Henry and scored the pin.
Your winner, Bandido & Extreme Tiger!
The World -3, U.S. - 2
Big Damo vs. Calvin Tankman.
Damo is the former Killian Dane. They tested each other's strength early on, trying to shoulderblock the other down. Damo was knocked to the outside and didn't like it, kicking the guard rail. They began beating each other with hard chops and forearms around ringside. They battled back to the ring, where Tankman nailed a big clothesline in the corner. Damo came back with a big dropkick and worked over Tankman. They kept laying it back in on each other, drilling forearms, strikes and clotheslines. Tankman finally nailed a driver for the pin.
