The MLW roster and braintrust are already in Dallas, Texas and have been producing pre-tapes for their upcoming TV tapings tomorrow and Friday at Gilley's. They are doing a promotional deal where MicroMan will be riding around Dallas in his MicroMobile giving out stickers to fans who find him.
The first independent wrestling event of the week in Texas takes place tonight about an hour outside of Dallas with School of Morton Mania Week Showdown at the Haltom Theater in Halton City, TX, featuring Ricky Morton's School of Morton vs. DFW All-Pro Wrestling Academy. The Good Brothers and Al Snow are slated to appear. You can find tickets at this link.
While in Dallas this week, Ric Flair, Killer Krosss, EC3 and the former Braun Strowman, Adam Scheer are slated to record hologram greetings for tech company ImagineAR. These are being done in advance of the official launch of the FameDays mobile app, which will allow fans to order the hologram greetings on 4/15. The launch is being timed just prior to the Tyson Fury fight that day and similar to Cameo, a nunber of high-profile athletes have signed on and will be available for greetings (think birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, promotions, gender reveals, etc.) delivered as holograms via the App.
Speaking of Dallas, for those of you coming into the area, you may want to consider checking out Maskaras Mexican Grill (2423 West Kiest Blvd) which is a lucha themed Mexican eatery and has tons of lucha memorabilia in every direction, from toys to masks to complete costumes and more. For more on Maskaras, which was founded by Mexican host and personality Rodolfo Jiminez, check out www.maskarasmexicangrill.com.
We've also had some readers ask about the old World Class Championship Wrestling Sportatorium. While the building no longer stands, if you want to visit the site, the address is 1000 S. Riverfront Boulevard at the intersection of Industrial Boulevard & Cadiz Street near the I-30/I-35E Interchange. There is a parking lot across the street from the site for a liquor store if you want to park and take a look at the old stomping grounds of the Von Erichs and the Fabulous Freebirds.
