3/19 LUCHA BROTHERS' REPUBLIC OF LUCHA 'YEAR ONE' RESULTS FROM SOUTH PASADENA, CA

Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix held a show in the parking lot of their Republic of Lucha store in South Pasadena, California, USA on 3/19/22 to celebrate the store’s one  year anniversary. It was taped for FITE.

Santino Brothers Wrestling Inner City Champion Lucas Riley won a 3-Way Match over Cameron Gates and Dom Kubrick by pinned Gates after a big swanton bomb which saw him shoot passed Kubrick laying on the mat and land right on Gates for the win.

The Lucha Brothers came out to the ring with Konnan. They thanked the crowd for coming to the show and for supporting the store. Javier Robles is the ring announcer and the business partner of The Lucha Brothers. He said the store has been a success thanks to the support of the fans and there’s no store in the world like it. Fenix thanked everyone and told them he loved them. He said he was still recovering from his injury.

John Hennigan came out to interrupt them. He’s using the name Johnny Caballero for this show. He will face Penta in the main event. He briefly attacked Robles but The Lucha Bros. made the save. Taya Valkyrie came out to calm everyone down and she forced Hennigan to leave the ringside area with her.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Rey Fenix are the broadcast team. Scarlette Donovan and Rick Knox are the referees. Donovan has been all over the California scene and I could see her getting signed by a big company soon. She trained at Santino Brothers and she is a very credible referee.

Slice Boogie and Danny Limelight (with Konnan) beat The Natural Classics (Tome Filip and Stevie Filip) after a double team finisher for the pin.

Lince Dorado pinned Jacob Fatu after a shooting star press.

Dante Martin and Darius Martin beat Rey Hours and Arez by pinning Hours after a double team finisher.

Taya Valkyrie pinned Chik Tormenta after the Road To Valhalla. Valkyrie has some cool looking merchandise available at Republic of Lucha. They have a website for online orders: https://republicoflucha.com/products/taya-valkyrie-vengeance-womens-cut-t-shirt

Penta El Zero Miedo pinned Johnny Caballero after the package piledriver. Caballero attacked Penta after the match. Fenix ran from the broadcast table to make the save. Taya Valkyrie then ran out and stood between Caballero and Fenix to separate them. Chavo Jr. said Valkyrie is caught in the middle as Caballero’s wife and as a friend of The Lucha Bros. Caballero accidentally super kicked Valkyrie while trying to go for Fenix. He got on the mic and told the crowd that Fenix pushed her into his kick. He said he has someone else to back him up. Daga came out. Daga insulted Valkyrie and The Lucha Bros. but he didn’t get physical with them at all. He convinced Caballero to leave the ring with him.

Fenix got on the mic and made a big announcement. He said there would be another show “in three months” (no exact date was mentioned) with him, Penta, and Valkyrie vs. Caballero, Daga, and Tessa Blanchard.
