FTW TITLE, ARCHER VS. DUSTIN & MORE: AEW RAMPAGE REPORT

It is Friday and AEW Rampage was filmed after Dynamite in Cedar Park, Texas at the HEB Center. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Taz, and Chris Jericho.

Lance Archer vs Dustin Rhodes

Lance comes out carrying one of the student’s from Dustin’s training academy and Dustin quickly runs out to attack Lance and free his student. They brawl to the ring with Dan Lambert walking behind them. Lambert grabs Dustin and Dustin sets up to pile drive him and Lance stops him. Lance tosses Lance into the ring and bell finally rings.

Lance knocks Dustin around the ring with big blows, and then rips off a turnbuckle pad. Lance goes back to hammering Dustin with blows. Dustin is finally able to fight back and then go into thr ropes. Dustin clotheslines Lance to the floor, and Dustin goes for a cannonball and missed.

Dustin is busted open.

Lance keeps up the attack and tosses Dustin into the ring. As Dustin struggles to get up Lance shouts at him. When Dustin gets a blow in, Lance batters him back down. The ref checks to see if Dustin can continue, and when he’s done, Lance keeps up the attack, hits a splash and covers for a two count. Lance hold Dustin in a read facelock as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Dustin is mounting as comeback with blows, but Lance cuts him off with a Big Stomp. Lance manhandles him more until Dustin is able to fire up with right hands, then clotheslines. He hits the drop down uppercut and goes for the spinning slam, but Lance is able to turn it into a power slam.

Both men record and Dustin is able to get in a series of blows on Lance in the corner, including the mounted ten count of blows. He goes for the bulldog, but Lance escapes. Dustin goes to the top and gets a leaping bulldog. Dustin hits the crossroads and cover for a two count. Dustin sets up for a suplex, but Lance reverses it. Arches then hits a full nelson slam for a two count. Archer hits a choke slam for a two count. Lance goes for Black Out and Dustin collapses out fo his hands. The ref checks him and Lance picks Dustin up and goes to slma him, but Dustinis able to pull Lance into the exposed turnbuckle. Dustin hits a jack knife and covers for the three count and the win.

Your winner: Dustin Rhodes

Lance attacks Dustin after the match and slams his head into the steel ring steps. Jericho calls Dan Lambert a street urchin. Dustin’s forehead is busted open and Lance drops him again. Dustin's students come out to try to stop Lance, but Lance is able to dispatch them with ease. Lance then drives Dustin through the timekeeper’s table.

In the back, Lexy Nair is with Jay Lethal to ask about his match on Dynamite. Jay says he’s going to go back to the drawing board. He can’t see past his two losses and they both had to cheat to beat him. Jay says there has go to be a better way and he will figure out what it is.

In the ring is Fuego Del Sol. He said he would have to fight for everything he got, and commentary called him an under size underdog. He talks about how he was able to go toe to toe with monsters. The fans believed in him. He calls out the House of Black.

And the lights go out.

Three spotlights come on and all three members of the House of Black are there. They quickly take him out. As they are walking up the ramp, the Dark Order meets them on the ramp. Dark Order walks by after they go face to face.

Dan Lambert and the Men of the Year are with Lexy. Dan says the open challenge is over. The Men of the Year says you need to earn a shot at his title.

Dark Order 10 and 5 vs reDRagon

5 and Kyle O’Reilly lock up and when they go to the ropes, Kyle nails 5 with blows. The keep 5 in the corner for quick tags. 5 is able to escape and tags in 10, who goes after the legal Bobby Fish. 10 keeps Fish’s wrist, and every time Fish lands a blow, 10 shoulder blocks him down. 10 then lifts up Fish, and Fish tries for an arm drag, but it goes nowhere. Kyle comes in and takes a shoulder tackle from 10. 10 then gets on the second turnbuckle and launches himself into both members of reDragon shoulder first. We go picture in picture at this point.

When we return to full screen, 10 is able to clothesline Fish and Kyle and Fish try to hold him back, but 10 is able to tag in 5 and he cleans house. 5 goes for a suplex, and befgore the tef can count, Kyle reverses it into a guillotine choke. 10 breaks it up by slamming Fish on the both fo them. Fish is able to turn 10’s mask around, and he and Kyle hit the high/low. Fish is tagged and then they hit Chasing the Dragon and cover for a three count and the win.

After the bell reDragon try to attack 5, but Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy, and Christian Cage run in to make the save. As they are saving 5, Adam Cole runs down and takes the tag team title belts.

We then get a taped segment about Thunder Rosa and Nyla Rose.

Nyla Rosa vs Madi Wrenkowski

Chris Jericho award Nyla Rose the “Sports Entertainer of the Week” for her bold leadership in attacking Nyla Rose from behind, complete with a logo on the screen.

Madi is in the ring already, and we were told the we would see Nyla Rose in action tonight, so...sorry Madi.

Nyla slams into Madi, tosses her to the mat, hits a flying elbow slam. Made gets in a could of blows before taking the beast bomb and Nyla covers for a three count.

Your winner: Nyla Rose

QT Marshall and Anthony Solow are in the ring and announces that the first recipient of the certificate of accomplishment is Hook. Hook and his unfortunate hair come to the ring. Solow uses the confetti wand. Hook takes the plaque and bashes Solow over the hear and then leaves. As he does, Danhausen comes from the back and Curses Hook, but Hook don’t care.

It’s time for Mark Henry to interview Swerve Strickland and Ricky Starks. Ricky says he doesn’t mind the new people showing up, but he doesn’t like the sense of entitlement Swerve has. He says it is his house and his show in his town. Swerve says it is about coming in and taken, and he’s taking Rampage and making it Swerve's house.

Excalibur gives us the rundown for next week’s shows.

As Ricky Starks comes to the ring, Taz lets us know that members of his entourage are behind them, keeping his chair warm.

Ricky Starks (FTW Champion) vs Swerve Strickland

They lock up and go to the mat trying to gain control. They get back to their feetm run the ropes and Starks gets an arm drag. They lock up a second time and go into the ropes, and then they run the ropes again with Swerve getting a pair of tosses and then hits a drop kick. They go to the corner and then to the mat where neither one is in control. They get to their feet and trade blows again. Swerve runs toward Starks in the corner, and Starks dodges him causing Swerve to be dropped to the mat as we go picture in picture.

Taz and Jericho are cracking each other up wth Jericho putting over his new character. Funny stuff on commentary.

When they return to full screen, Starks hits a standing doctor bomb and goes to the top for a moonsault but tweaked his ankle with the miss. Starks is able to get a rope assisted swinging DDT for a two count. Starks then straps on an abdominal stretch and Swerve fights his way out and into the corner. Starks goes for a dump behind, but Swerve is able to escape. Swerve hits a high knee, a clothesline, and uppercut in the corner and a diving uppercut off the top.

They go corner to corner and Swerve gets a flat liner and a two count. Swerve leaps from the top and Starks dodges. He lifts Swerve who escapes out the back again, they struggle a bit and Starks tries to set up for the Rochambeau. Swerve blocks it and fights his way free. Starks goes to get a waist lock, but Swerve drops the mat and Starks rolls out of the ring. Swerve hits a running shooting star press from the apron.

Starks is rolled into the ring and Swerve leaps from the top with a double stomp, a cover and a two count. Swerve locks on a half nelson, but Starks rolls through for a two count. Swerve is able to go to the ropes for an Okana roll, but Starks kicks out at two. Swerve goes to the outside and Starks tries for a Topi, but Swerve cuts him off. As Starks is with the ref in the ring, Powerhouse Hobbes charges Swerve and then tosses him into the ring.

Starks hits the Rochambeau and covers for the three count.

Your winner and still FTW Champion: Ricky Starks

Ricky’s entourage holds up and banner and a man is tossed through the banner. Kieth Lee is there, and he takes out the rest of the entourage. Lee comes to the ring. Lee head butts Starks and Swerve and Powerhouse Hobbs join in the fight. The referees come to the ring to pull them apart and we are desperately out of time!
