It is Wednesday and AEW is in Cedar Park Texas at the HEB Center. Our commentary team is Jim Ross, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone.
CM Punk vs Dax Harwood
Cash Wheeler goes to the back as Dax comes down to the ring. They lock up and go into the ropes and break in the corner. They lock up again with Punk taking Dax down and Dax reversing before they get to their feet again. Punk takes Cax down with an arm drag and the Gunn Club is at ringside, yelling at Punk. Punk and Dax go to the corner where Dax works Punk over. Punk then gets a series of arm drags and they slow down for a bit until they are up and running the ropes.
Dax gets a knee into Punk and then works him over on the mat. Dax is able to cut off any rally by Punk, and the announcers put over that Punk’s back is still hurt from the dog collar match. Dax and the Gunn Club have words and Punk is able to use that to start his comeback. Punk ends it with running the ropes, hitting a leg lariat and getting a two count. Punk goes to the top and Dax is up and hits a series of strikes on Punk on the top. Punk tosses him off and takes too long to go for the elbow, as Dax is able to get up and knock Punk down.
Dax hits a superplex from the top and both men take their time getting up. Dax is able to go to the top and hits a diving head butt and covers for a two count. When they get up, Dax goes for a suplex, but Punk is able to hold on and they both go to the outside. Cash comes down to ringside to check on Dax. Dax is first in the ring, but Punk is able to go to the top and hits a diving cross body for a two count. Punk then slaps on the Anaconda Vice. Dax escapes by pulling Punk’s hair. The lock together for an inside cradle to a two count.
Dax is able to hit a slingshot bomb from the turnbuckle on Punk for a two count. The crowd chants This Is Awesome as both men struggle to get to the feet. Dax is up, but Punk hits the rising knee strike in the corner, tries for a GTS, and Dax escapes and put in a sharp shooter. Punk rolls through and transitions to the Anaconda Vise and Dax taps out.
Your winner: CM Punk
JR says that the guys in the back at the monitor need to step up their game after this one. A solid opening match between two old school wrestlers.
They show a picture of John Silver as s kid meeting Chris Jericho, and we go to the back where Chris says they get the honor of being in the ring with him. Daniel Garcia says a wresterl can’t hang in the ring with a Sports Entertainer. Jericho then has people look for Ortiz and Santana, but they aren’t there.
Back in the ring, the lights go out and it’s time for Sting and Darby Allin to come to the ring.
Sting, Darby Allin, and the Hardys vs Butcher, Blade and Private Party
So, a Texas Tornado match, and we are told not rules no Dqs. I expect just craziness and everyone brawls around the ring.
Jeff Hardy leaps into Blade, Sting hits a Stinger Splash and it’s hard to keep track of everyone
Darby, Jeff Hardy, Butcvher and Blade fight up the stairs into the crowd.
Andrade has shown up and he attacks Darby and then Jeff Hardy
Darby gets thrown down the concrete steps by Butcher as we go to picture in picture.
WHY DO THAT LEVEL OF CRAZY ON A SMALL SCREEN!
When they return to full screen, Matt goes for a side effect on the stage and he gets a low blow from the other member of Private Party before they go off the stage into a table
Jeff Hardy, Sting and Darby have Butcher and Blade on a table and Jeff has a ladder and then into the top of the concourse before a swanton onto Butcher and Blade.
Private Party start dragging Matt to the ring and Sting is coming down from the concourse
Isiah gets a two count on Matt
Sting takes a chair to the back and all it does is annoy him as he takes out Private Party one at a time
Sting counters a gin and juice (didn’t look all that good)
Sting hits a scorpion death drop and Matt hits a twist fo fate and Private Party eats the three count
Your Winners: Sting, Darby Allin, and the Hardys
No real story being told, just a bunch of brawling to keep the feud going. Some Holy Cats moments, no blood, and a lot fo fun for the people in the building.
In the back, Tony Schiavone is with FTR. He asks them about the issues they are having with the Gunn Club. Cash says that they are puppies who are spoiled brats. Dax puts them down and then says they are the best tag team and they will see them next week.
Daniel Bryan and Jon Moxley vs The Varsity Blondes
Regal is on commentary again. The Blondes are already in the ring and when the bell rings, they get bum rushed and Julia Hart is sitting on the ring steps, head down, away from the ring. They say she hasn’t been the same since we was attacked by the House of Black.
Mox starts by going at Brian Pillman Jr, and then when Pillman gets in a couple of moves, Griff Garrison is tagged in for Mox to beat him down. Bryan tags in and we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Pillman leaps into a Danielson kick and then Mox tags in hits a lariat, a pile driver and Griff breaks up the cover. Mox and Griff trade blows and the Blondes are able to take Mox down and cover for a two count. Griff tags in. Mox and Bryan attack both of the Blondes, Mox locks in the rear naked choke and Griff taps out.
Your winners: Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley.
A fast paced beat down to build up Bryan and Mox even more. Regal joins them in the ring. Mox grabs a mic and says he is a lucky man who has been able to compete and learn from the best in the world. However, he only cares about Regal’s opinion. He says he and Bryan were forged in combat. He says if anyone has what it takes to stand beside them, they are not giving free passes, they need to reach deep into your soul and find where you love pain. He calls them the Blackpool Combat Club.
It’s now time for MJF to have his time with the mic. He tosses his gum at a fan and we have security around the ring. He talks to Wardlow about not getting the job done last week. He then addresses CM Punk says that he had him beat at Revolution, so Punk had to cheat to win. There will be another match and he will give Punk the most embarrassing loss of his career, but it won’t be over until he goes to Punk’s funeral and urinates on his grave.
He then goes back to talking about Wardlow and says he will call him a pig from now on. He says he will not release Wardlow from his contract because Wardlow signed a deal with the devil and he’s going to make Wardlow’s life a living hell. He then says he will strap Wardlow to a cross like Jesus and then goes after Wardlow’s mom.
Wardlow comes to the ring and starts tossing security around. MJF calls for the ref and the security is able to hold him back. MJF says he will pay Wardlow to stay home until the crowd forgets he ever existed. Wardlow starts on his way to the back.
MJF says that the Pinnacle is still around and they will be in action next week.
In the back, Tony is with the Best Friends. Trent says that he never liked William Yuta and he kept him around because the other guys liked him but if he wants to join Regal, he should do so. Yuta says he didn’t want to be the best Friend he could be. He wanted to be the best Wrestler he can be.
Adam Cole vs Jay Lethal
Good to see Lethal on Dynamite, he's a severely underused AEW talent. They lock up, go to the corner and after Cole gets in a few blows, Lethal turns it around and keeps Cole on the defensive with blows. Cole gets in a few strikes, but Lethal turns around a whip into the ropes, drops him and hits a drop kick to the face. Lethal covers for a two and then locks in a waist lock. They trade holds and then Lethal hits the Lethal Combination. Cole goes to the apron. Lethal misses a leap off the ropes, but hits a drop kick onto Cole while Cole si preening. Lethal then hits a series of topis.
reDRagon comes to the stage as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Lethal and Cole are trading kicks and blows. Then they trade pinning attempts. Lethal gets the figure four cinched in. reDragon now come to ringside. Col egets to the ropes for the break. Coel is dragged to the center of the ring, and then he rolls up Lethal. Cole goes for the boom knee, and Lethal hits a cutter. He goes for the Lethal Injection, and Cole is able to kick him in the back. Cole goes to the top and hits the Panama sunrise for a two count.
Cole tries to pick up Lethal and gets him to his knees. Lethal avoids the boom knee. ReDRagon distract the ref and Cole hits a low blow on Lethal, hits the boom knee, and then covers for the three count.
Your winner: Adam Cole
Cole grabs a mic and sits on the top turnbuckle and says he deserves the AEW?World Championship. He says he has won two of their last three matches and Adam Page is scared of him. He says that Page is a coward who doesn’t havce the guts to come out and face them.
Page then comes to the ring. Page takes off his belt and goes after all three of them, but Cole is abel to stop him with a low blow. Cole picks up the title belt. He bails when Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Christian Cage show. Cole leaves up the ramp with the world title belt.
We get a video package for Lance Archer vs Lance Archer on Friday.
Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti are in the ring with Tony Schiavone and he asks how they are doing. Sammy says with or without the belt he will do things you can’t believe. He then goes on about how the fans give to him what he wants in the business. But not know, as Tay talks about how they want payback against America’s Top Team.
Dan Lambert comes out and puts over his team. He also says he is the co-TNT champion which is hilarious. He asks if the Men of the Year want to give them a match and they leave. Sammy then says he is living in Dan’s head, but if Dan knew what they did while wearing that belt, he’d be living in his mouth too. Not anyone’s best segment, and no match came out of it.
Swerve Strickland have a video package for a FTW title match on Friday.
Lelya Hirsch vs Red Velvet, Kris Statlander is barred from ringside
Lelya attacks Red before the bell and they brawl on the floor. The bell rings with Red tosses Leyla into the ring and Red eats down Leyla in the corner. Red hits a standing moonsault for a one count and Leyla reverses it into a slam for a one count. We then go to picture in picture
When we return to full screen, they run the ropes and drops Leyla with a arm drag and then double knees into the shoulders. Red goes for a leap off the ropes, but Leyla grabs her and suplexes her and covers for a two count. Red hits the iconoclasm and gets a two count. She then this a corkscrew kick and Leyla rolls out of the ring and hides one turnbuckle and grabs a second. The ref grabs the one in her hands and takes it, and when the ref is getting rid of it, Leyla pulls the second out fo her trunks, hits Red with it and covers for a three count.

Leyla keeps up the beat down and then locks on an arm bar. Statlander changes to the ring and beats the tar out of Leyla. Leyla bails to the ramp.
In the back, Tony is with Jade Cargill qnd Mark Sterling. She talks about all fo the things she needs for her championship celebration.
We then get a rundown of the card for Rampage and next week’s Dynamite.
Tony then brings out Thunder Rosa. Vickie Guerrero interrupts and starts verbally running her down. Nyla Rosa attacks Rosa from behind.
Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia vs John Silver and Alex Reynolds
Only about 12 minutes left in the show. Daddy Magic says the crowd doesn’t appreciate Jericho enough to sing Judas.
Jericho starts with Silver. Silver starts with throwing hands and shoulder tackles. Silver takes Jericho down with a deep arm drag and then tags in Reynolds. They hits Jericho with stereo drop kicks. Jericho rolls to the outside and Silver chases him with a kick to the chest. Silver holds Jericho up and Reynolds uses it to hit a topi brain buster. Jericho throws a fit on the floor, and Aubrey thinks the other members of Dark Order tossed him into the stairs and ejects them as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Reynolds is fighting free from Jericho, but Jericho cuts him off, tries for a lionsault and misses. Reynolds tags in Silver and Silver cleans house. Silver is able to take out ALL of the JAS and then hits a crossbody of Jericho for a two count.
Silver hits a series of kicks, but Jericho hits a codebreaker and covers for a two count. Jericho rains down blows on Silver and tags in Garcia. They double team Silver, but when Jericho is tossed into him in the corner, Silver flips him to the floor. Reynolds is tagged in and they double team Garcia. Silver keeps the JAS from interfering. But Hagar is able to stop him. Garcia grabs the ref to distract her as Reynolds goes to the ropes, only to get hit by Jericho’s bat.
Garcia locks on the scorpion death lock and Reynolds taps out.
