3/19 TOKYO JOSHI PRO 'GRAND PRINCESS '22' RESULTS AND MORE FROM JAPAN

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling “Grand Princess ‘22” results from Tokyo, Japan ???????? at Ryogoku Kokugikan on 3/19/22 live on WRESTLE UNIVERSE: 

KANNA and Chikage Kiba came to the ring to speak to the crowd. They are alumni of TJPW going back to the very first year of the company in 2013. They both have history with Miyu Yamashita and Shoko Nakajima who are the main event tonight. Yamashita defeated KANNA on the very first TJPW event.

Miu Watanabe, Hikari Noa, and Raku performed songs. There will be auditions to add new members to join them in The Up Up Girls this year.

Suzume and Arisu Endo beat Moka Miyamoto and Juria Nagano when Suzume pinned Miyamoto after Ring A Bell. This was the debut of Nagano. She came out dressed as a nurse. She is a neurosurgery nurse. She is also a dancer, actress, and a former child karate world champion. 

Yuna Manase, Moeka Haruhi, HARUKAZE, and YuuRi (Team Ganbare Pro Wrestling) beat Nao Kakuta, Mahiro Kiryu, Haruna Neko, and Kaya Toribami  (Team Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling) when Manase pinned Kiryu after a lariat.

Minami Momochi was the guest ring announcer for the next match. She was the company’s ring announcer until 2017. MIZUHO and Nonoko who are TJPW alumni were in the ring to give Hyper Misao flowers

Hyper Misao pinned Sanshiro Takagi in the ring after I Am Hero in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. It was wild and weird like they kept promoting it would be going into the show. Takagi came out dressed as Misao. There was interference from Akira Miura and DDT’s Shota. They put each other over on the mic after the match then Misao gave Takagi a stunner.

Asuka pinned Yuki Kamifuku after the Moonsault. They both did grand entrances. Asuka came out doing a well done dance routine. Kamifuku was shown riding up on a motorcycle in the venue parking garage. She looked like a biker femme fatale out of a noir movie. She slowly took off her riding gear and pulled out a pack of cigarettes and was about to have a smoke. She heard someone approaching on another motorcycle and put the cigarettes away. The person rode by her and gave her a bottle of liquor. She took a shot and entered the building.

The pop rock band Angela performed the theme song of Yuki Aino and Nodoka Tenma live on stage. 

Yuki Aino pinned Nodoka Tenma after the UBV Suplex. This was the first and last match between the two sisters. Tenma will retire on 3/26/22.

Sakisama, Mei Saint-Michel, Martha, and Yukio Saint-Laurent beat Marika Kobashi, Raku, Pom Harajuku, and Ram Kaichow when Sakisama pinned Kobashi after the Academy Awards finisher. Sakisama had a fantastic opera style stage entrance that included the past members of her NEO Bishiki-gun stable. 

July 9 is the next mega event called Summer Sun Princess ‘22 at Ota Ward Gymnasium.

Intermission 

Kero Tanaka was the guest ring announcer for the next match.

Hikaru Shida pinned Hikari Noa with a Falcon Arrow. This was the first match back in Japan for Shida since October 2019. Aja Kong was doing guest commentary for the match and Shida pointed at her with some words over at the commentary table on her way back to the locker room.

International Princess Champion Maki Itoh beat Yuki Arai by submission with the Itoh Deluxe. Itoh shook her hand afterwards.

Princess Tag Team Champions Yuka Sakazaki and Mizuki beat Rika Tatsumi and Miu Watanabe when Sakazaki pinned Tatsumi after the Magical Girl Chicken Bastard.

Shoko Nakajima pinned Princess of Princess Champion Miyu Yamashita to win the title after the diving senton. This is the second time Nakajima has held the title. She defeated Yamashita for it in May 2019. They hugged after the match.

The babyface members of the roster came out on stage with Nakajima, Maki Itoh, Yuka Sakazaki and Mizuki out front as the champions for photo ops.

Everyone took turns walking up to the mic stand on stage to thank the crowd. The champions then had the stage to themselves for final photo ops. 

 

This was a fun nearly five hour broadcast with lots of pageantry and nostalgia. WRESTLE UNIVERSE is the best value of all of the pro wrestling streaming services at $7.80 USD a month broadcasting Tokyo Joshi, DDT, NOAH, Ganbare, and Prominence.

Assemble “Women’s Pro-Wrestling Assemble In Sagamiko Resort” results from Sagamihara, Japan ???????? at Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest Special Stage on 3/19/22:

This was an outdoors event at the amusement park and resort located about an hour away from Tokyo. It featured talent from Marvelous, Sendai Girls, Pro Wrestling WAVE, PURE-J, T-HEARTS, and SEAdLINNNG. All of the wrestlers entered their matches by being driven to the ringside area in enclosed golf carts. They had some really good luck on their side because it started raining heavily shortly after the main event.

Takumi Iroha and Ai Houzan beat Rin Kadokura and Maria when Iroha pinned Kadokura in 17:12.

DASH Chisako and Yurika Oka beat Chihiro Hashimoto and Manami when Chisako pinned Manami with a Northern Lights Suplex in 11:13.

Nagisa Nozaki and Sakura Hirota beat Hanako Nakamori and Crea when Nozaki pinned Crea after the Noir Lancer High in 16:27.

Yumiko Hotta and Riko Kawahata beat Arisa Nakajima and Rico Kaiju when Hotta pinned Kaiju after a shotei palm strike in 10:53.

Tae Honma came to the ring and announced she will return to action on the 5/4/22 show. She’s been out of action after ACL surgery since September 2021. 

Maika Ozaki and Saori Anou beat Saran and Ram Kaichow when Anou pinned Saran in 10:56.

Rina Yamashita pinned Kaho Matsushita after a lariat in 8:26.

Yuko Sakurai and Hikari Shimizu won a 3-Way Tag Team Match over Asahi and Ibuki Hoshi … Kiku and Cherry when Shimizu pinned Kiku in 7:50.

Totoro Satsuki pinned Rina Amikura in 10:29. 

Triangle Ribbon Champion Yuuki Mashiro won a 3-Way Match over Nao Ishikawa and Riko Kaiju by pinning Ishikawa in 7:43.

Tsukasa Fujimoto and Hikaru Shida beat Hamuko Hoshi and Makoto when Shida pinned Hoshi after the Three Count Of The Soul in 17:05. After the match, Shida said she is leaving to return to the United States this week but she will return for the May 4 show. She hasn’t been a in tag team action with Fujimoto since 2014. Fujimoto will be going on hiatus from in-ring action after May 4 but she will remain with the company in the front office. She recently announced that she got married.

ICEx∞ Champion Tsukushi Haruka pinned SAKI with the Harukaze in 15:45. Satsuki Totoro came out to be the next challenger on March 27 in Osaka. Tsukushi is retiring on the May 4 show and said she hopes to successfully defend the title up until she retires.

They did a send off ceremony at the end of the show for referee Hifumi Saito who is retiring.
