NHB 23: “The Ending is just the Beginner.”

The Chains have returned to Chattanooga for a huge night of violence,mayhem & a real life monster movie brought to life. I use a lot of adjectives & love to speak in hyperbole but in all seriousness, we got to witness something that felt outright criminal in SHLAK vs KRULE, but that’s much later.

We’re back in the splash zone for this show & the glass was raining down like a monsoon. At one point Melanie remarked “I’ve never seen so many bundles exploded in the crowd.” My response, “I KNOW!, Isn’t it great!? “ “Buy the ticket, take the ride, assume the risk.” I of course added the last part but HST would surely approve because he loved great writing.

As I start this report after that long one I wrote yesterday, as a man who could be doing anything he wanted right now, I asked myself why, but the answer is a simple one. I love talking about Death Match, I love promoting it & steering people towards it & raising its profile because I believe it’s the most exciting form of pro wrestling.

I’m also an incredible narcissist who thinks no one can write about it better than me & I feel like I’m recording important history that Death Match wrestling fans will be able to appreciate forever, but you know, I try to remain modest about all that.

AKIRA vs Joel Bateman ADM Title Match

We’ve got a new American Death Match Champion in Joel Bateman & he’s kicking this show off with his first title defense against AKIRA.

Bateman enters the ring carrying a sack of door knobs. I don’t know if that’s a nod to the Simpsons & Moe Syzlak or just some really odd Australian thing, but it works for me either way.

They grapple around with neither really gaining an advantage. AKIRA had a really nice bridge to flip out of a wrist lock. The tubes come out & Bateman removes his shirt as they square off tube saber style. Bateman eats the tubes & is dropkicked out the ring. They fight in the crowd right in front of our chairs. Joel eats an Ole’ kick & is steady leaking right at my feet. That’s why the Jordan’s are at home.

Bateman tossed back in the ring & I breathe a sigh of relief our chairs survived. Right as I think this AKIRA sprays a drink all over my chair. All I can do is say Appreciate it, as complaining about getting something on your chair at Death Match is the equivalent of complaining about getting wet in the shower. It’s a participatory environment as in you’re participating as a target if you don’t pay close attention at all times. Joel puts the samurai through a cut can door & goes to work slicing & stabbing on AKIRA with the cut can.

We got blood splashing now. Neckbreaker followed by a back kick. Two chairs set up in a way to maim your opponent & Bateman does just that. Savagery abounds. The sack of knobs is emptied on the mat & hell awaits for someone. It’s AKIRA, as he’s suplexed on top of them in an incredibly painful looking spot. Bateman lays out AKIRA under a door & scales the platform. Big flipping senton but AKIRA gets his knees up. Big bridging German from AKIRA to Bateman on a door for a near fall.

AKIRA starts punching Joel with the cut cans & using them individually as weapons. Nice. Koppo kick for another near fall. Some knee strikes & AKIRA has a submission locked in while alternately is tearing Batemans flesh with the cut can. Tube kick to head, another kick out by Bateman. AKIRA goes to the platform with a bundle but Joel sweeps the leg & he crashes down onto the bundle.

Both men now on the platform as Joel superplexes AKIRA onto a barbed wire door. One huge head butt later & Joel Bateman remains the first International American Death Match Champion. Danny out to put over AKIRA huge before focusing on Bateman & announcing the chains will be going down under mate or to quote Danny, “Death Match World Wide Mother F***ers!” Fantastic opener.

Isaiah Broner vs Dom Garrini

My first time seeing Broner & I’m impressed with his size & muscularity immediately. Let’s see how hard he hits. They start trying to budge each other with shoulder tackles but gain little ground. They take turns blasting each other with clotheslines but no one goes down. Finally a flying shoulder tackle puts Garrini down. Not for long though as he’s back up & they’re both throwing strikes & chops before Dom starts with the kicks. Broner right up from the kick with a lip bloodying mouth punch for Dom. Another snap mare, another back kick followed by another mouth punch.

They repeat this process until a huge spear from Broner turns the tide. Both men up trying to turn each other’s chest to hamburger & succeeding. A series of Kawada kicks from Dom has Broner stunned but he hits a huge flying forearm that lays Dom out. Just a two count. Broner goes for an F-5 but Dom catches him in a choke. Broner powers out with pure strength but Garrini hits a jumping knee & starts delivering pile drivers until the referee stops the fight. Loved the finish. They fought like beasts. Strong w/e for Dom. His chest probably feels like someone put an iron on it like he was Penny or some sh**. Good Times indeed.

Satu Jinn vs Dale Patricks

Dale pearl harbors Satu before the bell with a chair to the leg & a bonus one for the back. Dale unties some chain to wrap his fist with & proceeds to beat Satu bloody. He then ties his leg into the chain & hammers it with the chair. They’re out now fighting all over the building before Satu suplexes Dale through a table. Satu breaks a bottle on the ring post & starts cutting Dale up with it to a “Carve him up!” chant. He does & now Dale too is tasting his on blood.

He gets Satu in a chair & hits a big running cross body on the floor. Dale lights a cigarette that he puts out in Jinns face before body slamming him on the floor & then double stomping him off apron to the floor. Sweet. Dales goes for a cover but a huge kick out by Satu. Satu fires back with a belly to belly for a near fall & now he’s getting his blade. He lays him across the chains in front of us & starts segmenting his forehead. Alexa, play Blood Lust by Venom.

Dale fights back with a choke slam onto two chairs but Satu back up gets Dale on the platform & places a trash can on his head. When he turns his back to adjust the table, Dale removes the trash can & pounds Satu onto the table. He hits a flipping senton accordioning Satu in the table. I know that’s not a word but it’s what happened. Only good for a two count.

Uranage from Satu as he tries to put Dale through an unbreakable door. Jealousy over all these f***ing tables, I guess. Satu tries again going upside down in his attempt leading to Dale pile driving him into a chair for the three count. Dale still waiting on his make good title match.

Brandon Kirk w/ Kasey Kirk vs TANK w/ The Rev.

Melanie has gone to get me some fries when the Kirks music hits & I know she’s cussing me as she hears it. Kasey with a tube bundle & Brandon out with a light tube walker mocking TANK. It was pretty damn funny. TANK & the Rev out. Great promo from Dan about cock roaches, rats & mistresses that earns him a tube bundle shot, this too makes me laugh aloud.

Fortunately Melanie didn’t miss any of that & I’m now enjoying my fries. Dan on the floor laid out like Richard Belzer. “He Sleeping.” Brandon starts swinging on TANK but finds himself on his back from a TANK punch & TANK hits a double with the firework bat. Thumbtack bat to the nards followed by a gusset to the head. Then a bonus gusset in the arm just for fun.

Brandon begging off lures TANK in for throat punch & a tube bundle to the head. Part of that bundle ended up in my fries. Consider it an offering to the Death Match Gods for our chairs to make it to the end of the show. Brandon now mocking TANK with the walker before smashing the tubes in his face. TANK tries to fight back but eats a few more tubes & Brandon is now cutting him with the jagged edge.

TANK hits back with a tube of his own & introduces Brandon to its jagged edge. Beautiful looking DDT on some tubes to Brandon.

Only a two count. Kirk gets his own two count on TANK with a strong forearm to the back of the head. Brandon sets TANK on a table as Kasey climbs on to the platform. TANK now off the table yolks up both Kirks on his back for a big Samoan drop through a table. That gets a holy sh** chant, but still only a two count.

TANK has the sickle but Kasey cuts him off with a low blow. She hooks TANK for something but before it’s executed the Rev is awake & armed with a tube bundle for Kasey Kirk. A huge explosion & Kasey is down. TANK with the spinning back fist & a huge Saito for the victory. Post match TANK pounds on his chest as he & the Rev. soak up all that hometown love cause it’s oh so sweet.

“The Bev” Bobby Beverly vs Tommy Vendetta

That slick mother f***er The Bev sleazes out first oozing his poisonous charisma with his tassels flapping. Vendetta out second with a war face that would make a DI proud looking like a fifties greaser with his Fonzie hair do. Eyyyyy!

This battle of Michigan vs Ohio starts with a tube & punch exchange until the Bev clotheslines Vendetta out of his boots. BB puts a tube down the back of Vendetta’s shirt & smashes it, then smashes one down the front for good measure. Vendetta grabs his own bundle but the Bev hits a cross body exploding the tubes all over Tommy. I bet it made a pretty picture.

They fight around outside slicing each other up with glass. They both pound on each other with trash can lids. They have a bloodbath bar fight in the middle of the crowd & wind up back in the ring for another round of bathing in glass. Bev with the pop up knee & a sweet Japanese arm drag through the door.

Only a two count. DVD from Vendetta to Beverly on a bundle. Bev with a brain buster to Vendetta destroys a chair for a two & a half count. Backdrop driver from Bev but Vendetta up, Bev hits another one & Vendetta still gets up. Bobby B has had it. He kicks a huge bundle into Vendettas face & hits one more back drop driver to pick up the victory. This was outstanding, the Bev is a favorite & my first time seeing Vendetta live left me wanting more.

KRULE vs SHLAK

This was one of the damnedest things my eyes have ever witnessed. This wasn’t a match, hell it wasn’t even a fight, it was a WAR that somehow both men survived & certainly not from a lack of effort to kill each other. It was ugly & nasty, it was feral & predatory & bloodthirsty. It was above & beyond what any two humans should be legally allowed to do to one another. Enough of the all too true hype.

Here’s the WAR. KRULE out first & his music is as frightening as he is. SHLAK out next & hits the ring running as he physically removes Larry Legend before he takes a shoulder tackle from KRULE. They try & throw each other around & it already looks out of control. SHLAK suplexes KRULE on his head but he’s right back up putting his boot in SHLAK”s mouth. SHLAK hits KRULE with a chair then DDTs him onto the same chair from the ring to the floor.

They fight around the building & I think SHLAK breaks a bottle on the head of KRULE. SHLAK smashes a bundle on KRULE & after a snack of glass takes the shards & drags them down the back of KRULE. Inhuman sh**. Instant red streak now down his back. They’re right in front of us smashing bundles & then start smashing chairs. They’re fighting behind us when SHLAK throws KRULE into the tarp covering the chairs & he disappears into a blue hole.

SHLAK unsatisfied starts to bury him in more chairs. He then takes a broken piece of chair & tries to stab it into the heart of KRULE. Our chairs are among the last few standing. That’s a win. SHLAK suplexes KRULE through a table & tube bundle that has KRULE pouring blood like a faucet. SHLAK smashes more bundles on him. Back in the ring SHLAK hits a light tube leg drop off the platform that nearly decapitates KRULE. That gets a holy sh** chant.

SHLAK breaks out the suffocation bag but KRULE has too big of a head. He suddenly snatches SHLAK up for a head drop through a chair to secure the three count. The fight doesn’t end there as these two monsters have yet to tire of trying to destroy each other. They each get a half door & brain each other until the doors are splinters. One last stare down before they exit drenched in blood. This was f***ng spectacular. I leaned over to Melanie & said I’m glad John & Eric are next because nobody else could follow that match. This is what’s known as an Instant Classic! Absolute Horror.

John Wayne Murdoch vs Eric Ryan

The ring is stripped down to the boards for the signature match between these Gods of Death Match. The winner will get the next shot at the American Death Match Championship. Joel Bateman out to watch. Eric Ryan out first but before he can even get to the ring, Murdoch is all over him putting his face in glass. Huge bundle to the head & then a little slicing with the broken tubes.

John head butts some tubes in his face. Eric eats a garbage can full of tubes face first. Back in the ring with the tubes lining the chains, Eric gets tossed back first into the tubes. Now he’s tossed into them face first. It’s a f***ing massacre & the Duke is talking some sh**. John takes the knife to Eric’s head for some saw & slice but soon tires of it & goes back to smashing bundles on Eric. The King is under heavy fire & looking like a casualty at this point.

Another face first bundle for Ryan & a back breaker for a near fall. Eric still got some fight in him. JWM hits a Russian leg sweep on Eric onto another bundle. The crowd still behind Murdoch despite the fact he’s clearly not interested in their cheers tonight. The only offense tonight against John is when he mockingly broke a tube on his own head as he continues to rain glass down on Eric. He paints a door with the blood oozing from Ryan’s head.

Eric ducks a tube bundle swing & hits a shot gun drop kick shattering the tubes on Murdoch as he puts him through a table. JWM with a sick kick & a brain buster on some tubes. Ryan rolls out the ring. Back in the ring Eric hits a big tube bundle knee lift & both guys just start slugging it out. Murdoch hooks the Koji clutch but Ryan somehow powers out. He gets the Duke tangled up in the chains and starts a snuff stomp that JWM can’t escape & SPO calls for the bell.

Eric Ryan is the new number one contender. He’s finally got the Murdoch monkey off his back & he wants his title shot right now. Unless of course Joel left his balls in his wife’s purse. He did not & accepts the challenge. As he takes his shirt off Ryan blasts him with a light tube tope suicida right to Batemans neck. Spectacular! A shot gun drop kick shatters tubes all over Joel before Ryan hits a cannonball in the corner crushing more tubes into him. Joel kicks out at two. Bateman hits his head butt that’s won him two matches already but the King kicks out.

Joel goes to the back for a box & comes out with the dreaded skinny tubes. People were abuzz at the sight of these skinny devils & even the King looks a little unsettled. Bateman starts smashing them on Eric & you can hear the difference. Eric ends up suplexing Joel into the remaining tubes before turning him over into the snuff stomp for another referee stoppage & we have a new champion.

This is so f***ing great. The Bev is out to congratulate his stablemate. Ryan says whoever wants it, come & get it. Another incredible fight & moment between the Duke & the King as they continue to grow their legacy of greatness together & apart. What a great show! Can’t wait to do it again. Thank you & good night.

ICWNHB/PFX-10: “Stab, Bawl, Punch, Crawl” 

ICWNHB was back at the TWE Arena for a themed show of TWE vs ICW in Chattanooga, TN on a frigid Winter storm warning evening for the return of the Pitfighter Cage with PFX 10, in front of a full house for an incredibly successful show. They brought in the OX & his solid steel cage that had zero give & never shifted position once during the show. It made for a violent battleground. 

Last time around the crowd was filled with Death Match virgins, this time, two DM first timers will get their cherry’s popped by the Death Match equivalents of John Holmes & Dick Rambone in Danny Demanto & TANK. ( Sorry I’m not familiar with the current crop of big dicked porn stars so I had to go old school.) 

This was another amazing edition of the Pitfighter, this time with multiple heart string pulling moments of emotion, courage, valor, determination & an outright refusal to give up regardless of the circumstances or even the pleas of a significant other. You may know these traits as necessities required to even delve into the world of Death Match Wrestling because they are. They were on display fight after fight on this night, so let’s get to the action. As always you can watch on IWTV with The Struggles, Ron Niemi & Larry Legend. All fights officiated by the Iron Man referee Sean Patrick O’Brien. 

AKIRA vs Masha Slamovich 

The real life couple brought the violence on a remarkable level. This was the match I had the hardest time seeing as no one sat down the entire match & the building was in a first match frenzy for this real life show down between these lethal lovers. They went forehead to forehead before Masha pie faces AKIRA away. They start with some submission wrestling exchanges before standing up & trading strikes. They brawl around a little before AKIRA goes back to the submissions but to no avail. 

They trade some stiff kicks before Masha hammers a gusset plate into AKIRA’s head. They tried an aerosol fire spot that didn’t take. Masha ended up with a gusset plate in her head for her effort. AKIRA got a knife & did a little slicing & dicing. Then he got this huge electric carving knife & made Thanksgiving dinner of Masha. This was an above & beyond spot. One thing about the ladies in ICW, they are tougher than a whole lot of men I know. Yes, myself included. 

They toured around the ring so everyone could see the carnage. A trash can comes into play & garbage is strewn everywhere. Back in the cage, they continue to kick & beat on each other. Brutal forearm exchange. Masha puts AKIRA through a door with an assault driver. 

AKIRA returns the favor with a German suplex. AKIRA ties up Masha with a knife in her mouth, she wraps barbed wire around his face leading to a double tap out & the match is ruled a draw. The crowd chants for a kiss & they get it before these two make their blood soaked exit. Great way to open the show.

Dominic Garrini vs Derek Neal 

This was an outright fight between two men both refusing to flinch. They fight around for some submissions before they start swinging. Neal removes his shirt to go toe to toe with a chop exchange. They beat the skin off each other. This was clearly a battle of wills early to see who would back away first. No one did. Dom threw 3 vicious kicks to the back & then 3 more to the chest. Neal responded with a series of ferocious forearms, the last one putting Dom flat on his ass. 

Dom with the triangle but Neal with some impressive strength, breaks it by powering Dom into the cage. Another insane exchange of punches & chops before Dom locks in a choke & rides Neal’s back. Neal breaks it with the cage. Huge spinning back fist & knee from Neal but Dom right back up & into a ridiculous slap & chop exchange that Dom ends with a knock out kick to the head. Dom continues his streak of strong matches & Derek Neal makes a very impressive debut & gets a strong chant from the home crowd. A real fight. 

 Danny Demanto vs Erron Wade 

I don’t know the full story here but Erron is a young man who has worked hard to get an opportunity in ICW & tonight he gets his Death Match cherry popped by the Boss, who appears more than ready to school young Erron in the fine art of bloodletting. The crowd is fully behind Wade chanting his name & Danny fully embracing his role as the heel as the crowd chants F*** You Danny. Danny reminds them they’re only seeing great professional wrestling because of him. 

They vehemently disagree. Wade responds with a smack & a series of kicks with the final one putting Demanto on his back. Wade try’s a crossbody but gets caught & flattened before getting wore out with a steel chair & gusset plated. Danny puts his face in the cage in front of his cheering section before using lemons & salt in Erron’s wounds. 

Grand slam with the firework bat from Demanto. Wade fires back with a beautiful enzguiri. Wade through two cut can boards but still with a huge kick out at 1. Wade fighting back exits the cage for a table. Lots of tables on this night. Strong solid ones that two men can stand on top of and execute maneuvers. 

Unfortunately for Wade that maneuver was a powerbomb through the table leading to victory for Demanto. Post match crowd chants for Wade & Danny gives him the proper put over for his hard work & performance. The crowd chants you deserve it & he exits to the crowd chanting his name. Huge night for young Erron Wade, one he won’t soon forget. 

Brandon Kirk vs MERC 

The adorable Death Match Fantasy couple are out first & get their alternating love & heat from the crowd before the entrance of the TWE Champion MERC. MERC refuses to allow Larry Legend to introduce him & demands to be introed by the TWE ring announcer. Brandon channeling “The Menace” BLAKE suggests he’s a bum & challenges him to put his title on the line. MERC agrees & we’re off. 

MERC leads the crowd in a shun or shame chant. Not sure which, I can’t understand these hillbillies, complains the guy from SC, but I digress. MERC gives Brandon a tour of the cage with his face & body before a spine shattering kick. Brandon enraged tears his shirt off & demands another one. Struck me as a terrible decision as the second kick was harder. Brandon’s face back into the cage. Brandon Sabu’s a chair into MERCs face. MERC eats thumbtack bats to the head & back leaving a map of tacks imbedded in his body. 

Brandon try’s to gusset him but gets it put into his own head & then kicked out. Big punch,chop combo from MERC & some big knees in the corner for a near fall. Brandon bleeding strong now. I think I’ve mentioned this before but Brandon has that classic blonde pro wrestler hair, always shaded red & dripping. 

They set up a table & both men climb on top of it & trade strikes before Brandon says f-it & bails out over the cage, MERC follows & jumps down on top of him. They fight around the building & I can’t see sh** but was told BLAKE nails MERC with a firework bat. Tremendous! They fight back into the cage & wind up back on the table trading head butts that MERC wins & has Brandon laid out on the table as he scales to the top of the cage & drops an elbow for a huge win for MERC & TWE. 

KRULE vs Satu Jinn 

A rematch from one of the more violent chains matches in recent history is now in the Pit. Satu out first to a thunderous response before the frightening entrance of KRULE who was dragging a gigantic gusset plate paddle clearly built for giants. Satu starts hot with the palm strikes before putting KRULE through a door & then wearing him out with multiple chairs thrown at him. 

Satu with the gusset & gets his blade but is cut off & has his own blade used against him as KRULE does a little ripping & tearing. They trade some big strikes. Satu gets put through a door. Satu busts something on KRULE & hits him with the huge gusset paddle & then puts him through a gusset door for a two count. A “he’s not human” chant breaks out, on that kick out. KRULE’s back is a horrific mess as he rises to fight. 

They start slugging it out until KRULE wraps a chair around Satu’s head & starts to beat it into his face. He continues to pound Satu into oblivion as referee SPO mercifully stops the match. This was a great looking referee stoppage finish. I love the way when KRULE is done he just briskly walks away without a care in the world. 

TANK vs Jaden Newman 

The Battle of Chattanooga will rage tonight as TANK takes on the young man who has claimed the crown & Jaden Newman will have to outlast TANK in his first Death Match to truly lay claim to the crown. That’s what’s known as a Herculean task. Jaden out first & he is hyped. Crowd surfs him up to the top the cage. That was very cool. 

He sat up there talking sh** & showing no fear as the crowd chants his name. This feels big already. The Rev with a nice promo to make the fight feel even bigger as he is wont to do. Jaden starts swinging on TANK immediately throwing everything he’s got at him until he crash & burns on a crossbody into the cage. TANK goes to work with his sickle & a cheese grater & gets a f*** you TANK chant. 

Well, that was unexpected. TANK headbutts a gusset into Newman & makes him eat the steel. Jaden fires back removing his Judas Priest Metal studded belt & starts to choke TANK. He then reversed it studs to face & took it side to side. That looked super bad ass. He then starts to whip TANK like a cur dog with the studded side of the belt. 

TANK pulls out his fork but he’s not the only one armed as Jaden pulls out a fork as well. The square off stabbing each other back & forth until a frenzied stab off leaves both men down. 

TANK sets up some chairs for the bar fight & it is on. I haven’t seen anybody hit TANK that hard since Mickie Knuckles. Jaden was blasting him so hard, TANK ended that sh** quick with some echoing head butts. They take turns making each other munch cage. TANK with the sickle to the groin of Jaden. Both down after some vicious back fists. They exchange slaps that Jaden is winning so another skull cracking head butt from TANK ends that nonsense. 

Newman with one last effort tries to return the head butts but gets a Saito through a barbed wire door for his troubles & TANK is your winner. TANK says Terry Gordy is the real king of Chattanooga but he will take being the prince. TANK showers Newman with love & respect etc. Super impressive first time performance for Newman in a really violent fight that told a great story. This is a must see southern style fight that any wrestling fan can appreciate. 

Kasey Kirk vs John Wayne Murdoch 

I’ve been watching wrestling almost 50 years so I’ve seen a lot of special including the previous match, but let’s go ahead & add this one too as it had an emotional response that every wrestler dreams of capturing. It was a genuine roller coaster of emotion as the crowd started about 50/50 but as it progressed the people got behind Kasey in such a genuine way that you could feel it in the building. 

This was not just another match. I don’t think it will soon be forgotten as it has now forged a path of credibility for Kasey Kirk that no one can deny. Let’s talk about it. Brandon out with Kasey but she says she’s got this & sends him to the back. Kasey comes out firing but the physicality of the Duke leads to him taking over with some weapon shots. No mercy for Kasey as the knife is out & the forehead stabbing has begun. Next comes the slicing & sawing. 

That brings out a “you sick f***” chant. Firework racket to Kaseys backside. Kasey with the crimson mask as Murdoch is toying with her. He’s goes for a cover but a strong kick out gets a Kasey chant. Gusset bat to the back & arm of Kasey. Zero mercy, full on brutality. Kasey returns fire with the gusset bat & now Murdochs arm is a mess. Kasey hits a tornado DDT off a chair to Murdoch onto a knife board. Out the cage they go, somebody used a firework bat & JWM has that electric knife thing & uses it on Kasey. 

Did I mention how tough these ICW women are? Kasey is a bloody mess & the crowd is chanting for her. Jesus, thumbtack bat to Kasey's head. She fights back with punches that leaves Murdoch laid out across two tables. As she climbs the cage, John soon follows & they’re fighting atop the cage before both fall off through both tables. As they both rise, they begin this jaw dropping head butt sequence that looked amazing. 

Kasey swings from the door to deliver a rana that sends the Duke across the cage & gets a strong two count. Kasey hammers a gusset into Murdoch's head. Murdoch fires back with gusset bat & sets up another two tables. He puts the knife across Kasey's mouth & is just cackling with sadistic glee. This brings out Brandon to throw in the towel but Kasey won’t allow it as she screams “I got this s***.” This is where I’d say everyone in the building decided they wanted her to win this match. It felt so wonderful & so real. 

She starts firing back on Murdoch & slams him through a chair. She gets John laid across two tables & a “f*** him up Kasey” chant breaks out. Jon is up & superplexes Kasey off the cage through both tables. A big kick out at two blows the crowd. Murdoch in disbelief calls for his brain buster but as he goes to pick Kasey she rolls him into a small package to steal the win. The place goes crazy. Brandon hits the ring with a look of shock, joy & disbelief. Melanie’s hugging me like the Steelers just won the Super Bowl. 

Kasey now crying embraces Murdoch who leaves to give her, her moment. Brandon beaming with pride as they exit. Wow, this was really something special to witness live. I hope it plays as well on TV because it was f***ing magnificent. 

Reed Bentley vs Joel Bateman: ADM Title Match 

The cage is set up with dangling barbed wire like something out of SAW, (credit Scott Hensley) & like a mobile of carpet strips & some long tall tubes cause it’s Main Event time. International Death Match star Joel Bateman is intro'd first & does his Aussie/Oi chant & it’s super over, as is he. DMDU is IWTV family just like NWA Wildside. These two first time combatants shake hands & circle each other before locking up. Reed talking a lot of sh**. 

They each smash each other with tubes & go into a brutal punch/chop/forearm exchange that leaves Joel on the mat. Reed cuts him up with the broken tube. Out the cage they go, Joel tossed into the seats before being buried with chairs. Reed tosses Joel onto AKIRA & Masha who are trying to watch from the back. Hilarious. She bails & Reed slams Joel onto AKIRA but the silliness is just beginning as Reed picks up AKIRA & dumps him on top of Joel. He then picks up a very large man & dumps him onto both of them. 

They fight around the building. Bateman cuts up Reed. Reed picking up grannies & using them as weapons. BLAKE gets involved & Joel goes upside down into an unbreakable door. Finally back in the cage, Joel is thrown into the dangling barbed wire. Senton from Reed & some more sh** talking. Dragon screw from Joel & a senton for Reed as well. Reverse back breaker across the table. Tube shot to a defiant Reed. Joel digs the broken tube into Reeds arm pit. That was gnarly. Reed atomic drops Joel on a huge firework explosion chair for a near fall. Tiger driller but Joel kicks out. Reed sets up two tables. 

 Tube bundle shot to Joel’s head followed by a chair. They go back & forth & Reed winds up tangled deep in the barbed wire. Reed laid out on the tables as Joel lays some tall tubes across him. Bateman with the senton bomb off the top of the cage. Reed kicks out & fights back but Bateman with a murderous head butt floors Reed as he he falls on top to gain the pin & become the new American Death Match Champion & the first international one. What a huge win. To say I was surprised would be an understatement. Joel immediately bleeds all over his new championship. Reed puts Bateman over & speaks on the love language of blood. Joel speaks on his accomplishment & sends love home to his family before a stare down with AKIRA who he will defend the title against in the chains the next day. 

Unfortunately the Mighty ICEBERG was under the weather & unable to join us this w/e. Wishing him a quick recovery.
