MLW FUSION REPORT: AFTERMATH OF HAMMERSTONE ATTACK, TJP VS. BUDDY MATTHEWS AND MORE

Your announcers are Rich Bocchini and Joe Dombrowski.

We take a look back at highlights from last week’s MLW World Championship match between Alex Hammerstone and Davey Richards as well as Richard Holliday’s post match attack on Hammerstone.

We go to Richard Holliday earlier in the week talking about the history of the building. He mentions Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes. He says this building will be remembered for the night that Richard Holliday came to this building. He shows his commemorative piece. He shows Hammerstone’s blood on the floor.

You pleaded for me to stop as the blood dripped from your forehead. You begged. I did what I thought was best and felt what was best for the moment. I did what was right. I got blood all over my white suit. I washed your blood off my hands, but now your blood will forever stay in Charlotte.

Holliday walks away.

We see a limo driving up to the building.

Match Number One: Miranda Gordy versus Rok-C

They lock up and Gordy backs Rok-C into the corner and gives a clean break. They lock up and Gordy with wrist lock and arm wringer. Rok-C with a reversal into a side head lock. Gordy blocks a take down and tosses Rok-C to the mat. Gordy misses a forearm and Rok-C with a waist lock. Gordy eventually gets free and Rok-C tries for a few more arm drags but Gordy blocks them. Rok-C with a side head lock take down. Gordy with a head scissors.

Rok-C is able to escape. Rok-C offers her hand and Gody swats the hand away. Rok-C counters a power bomb into a rana. Rok-C with a La Mistica into a crossface but Gordy escapes. Gordy with a clothesline and a forearm. Gordy sends Rok-C into the turnbuckles and chops her. Rok-C chops back. They continue the exchange. Gordy with a series of chops and Rok-C falls to the mat. Gordy with a power slam for a near fall.

Gordy pie faces Rok-C but Rok-C with forearms. Rok-C with chops when Gordy blocks an Irish whip. Gordy with a slam and she gets a near fall. Gordy gets Rok-C up for a slam but Rok-C escapes and applies a wrist lock. Gordy with a standing switch and then misses a shoulder in the corner and hits the turnbuckles. Rok-C with a Thesz Press and punches. Rok-C with a take down and she gets a near fall. Rok-C with a crossface. Gordy tries to roll through to escape but Rok-C holds on. Gordy gets to her feet and Rok-C with a sunset flip for a near fall. Rok-C with a jackknife cover for a near fall. Gordy with a kick and power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Miranda Gordy

After the match, Rich interviews Miranda. Miranda says she is in the powerweight division. She is going to destroy all of the Barbie dolls in the division.

We take a look at wht happened to Gino Medina a few weeks ago after being pinned by Micro Man.

We are told that Gino Medina was given a bonus by Cesar Duran.

We go to Mads Krugger.

He says this club is stained with the blood of the weak. It is the only weapon deserving of the Samoan Werewolf’s blood. He calls out Jacob and he challenges him to a Stairway to Hell match. I will finally end your legacy with blood.

We see Cesar Duran with a masked associate.

We see the limo sitting in the parking lot.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Gangrel will be on next week’s show.

We see the limo and the rain has stopped.

Alicia Atout and Richard Holliday are in the back. He says they are celebrating what they did to Hammerstone at Super Fight. He says they are going to do something historic, sexy, and raunchy. They invite the camera man into the limo.

We go to 5150. Julius Smokes tells the Von Erichs and Nduka cannot reach the hand of God.

We take a look at Alex Hammerstone. He says he was in the culinary industry. It was not something he aimed to get into. He says he had a voice in the back of his head to chase his dream. He went through some situations and he heard the voice to get into this. He says he grew up poor and he did not have cable. He says he remembers the first time watching wrestling and he loved it. He says they were always playing Royal Rumble. He says he was never able to be who he wanted. He says he never grew out of it.

Alex says he tried to convince his brother to get into the business too. He says what he was doing was the coolest. His brother told him he was wasting his time and that he was too small. Alex says it did look like he was wasting his time. He dropped out of school and then he was driving ten hours to get paid $20. He said he lost money working these shows. Once those results were showing, everyone was supportive. He says his brother is one of his biggest fans. He says his brother’s girlfriend told him that he was crying when he won at Fight Land.

Alex says he is not ashamed to talk about how tough it was. He could not afford to play sports or be part of the band at school. He says he wanted to do something special and he found it in music. He says the way he was brought up make these moments along the way so important to him.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Killer Kross will be on next week’s show.

Rich announces some of the matches for MLW Azteca Underground on April 1st.

We get a few medical updates. Marshall Von Erich suffered a fractured ankle and will be out 3 to 4 weeks. Ross Von Erich suffered a concussion. Alex Hammerstone has no medical update because he is refusing to comply with requests for a medical update.

EJ Nduka is confronted by Emilio Sparks and he asks about what happened with 5150. EJ says since he got here, he has been on the up and up trying to do the right thing. They chose the wrong one. Never repay evil with evil. Never repay insult with insult. Always repay evil with good. When I get my chance against 5150, I will make it real good.

Next week we will have the Stairway to Hell Match between Mads Krugger and Jacob Fatu.

Alicia and Richard are in the limo and he says your fantasies will be a reality.

Richard starts to kiss Alicia and she gets a phone call. She tells him that the call is about them and they need to go.

We see TJP’s challenge from last week.

TJP tells the crayon eaters to listen up. He says MLW has instituted an open door policy that he thinks is stupid because all of your favorite wrestlers in other companies suck balls. TJP says he is the greatest thing to walk through MLW’s doors. He says he was raised right. When you walk through a door, you close it.

Tonight, I have to entertain this open door policy and babysit one of your favorites. He says he does not want to waste any more time because the cruisergreat has great things to do.

Buddy Matthews takes the mic and he apologizes to TJP for not knocking. He says he couldn’t help it to not only knock on the door, but he is kicking it down. This goes further and deeper. You are looking at the greatest cruiserweight.

Match Number Two: TJP versus Buddy Matthews

They lock up and Buddy with a wrist lock and an arm bar. TJP with a reversal. Buddy with a reversal and a side head lock take down. TJP with a front face lock and Matthews with an arm bar. TJP with a head scissors take down and Buddy escapes. TJP with a leg sweep and cover. Buddy with a leg sweep and cover. Buddy with a waist lock and TJP lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex. TJP with a side head lock and Buddy with a shoulder tackle.

TJP blocks a side head lock take down and he tries for an octopus but Buddy escapes and applies an arm bar. TJP with a headstand in the corner and he floats over. Buddy floats over but his knee gives out. Buddy goes to the floor and the referee checks on the leg. TJP goes after Buddy and Buddy sends TJP into the guardrails a few times.

Buddy with a back drop driver onto the apron. Buddy pushes TJP away but TJP with a slingshot drop kick to the leg and Buddy falls to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and the referee is on the floor checking on Buddy who is still holding his knee. The referee returns to the ring and starts his count. Buddy gets back into the ring but he is limping significantly. TJP with kicks and a slingshot senton to the leg. TJP with a kneeDT. Buddy with punches and TJP with an uppercut. Buddy collapses on an Irish whip and TJP hyper-extends the knee and gets a near fall.

TJP kicks Buddy in the hamstring and hits a spinning knee drop. TJP with an Indian Death Lock. TJP blocks a drop toe hold and applies a figure four leg lock. Buddy tries to get to the ropes but fails. Buddy with a reversal and TJP escapes the hold. TJP drops down onto the leg. TJP kicks Buddy and drops down on the leg again. Buddy kicks TJP over the top rope when TJP tries a third time. Buddy send TJP to the ramp and then he hits a hanging DDT.

TJP with a punch and Buddy punches back. TJP with a European uppercut and Buddy with a forearm. They continue to exchange forearms. Buddy stomps on the foot but misses a knee. TJP with an enzuigiri. Buddy with a gourdbuster followed by a kick and V Trigger. Buddy with a brainbuster for a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and both men are down. TJP counters Murphy’s Law with a rollup for a near fall. Buddy puts TJP against the turnbuckles and TJP with a back heel kick. TJP floats over Buddy and hits a leaping neck breaker. TJP with a face wash but Buddy blocks a running boot. Buddy with a waist lock and TJP backs Buddy into the corner. TJP kicks Buddy on the turnbuckles. TJP sets for a superplex. Buddy goes for a sunset flip power bomb but his knee buckles. Buddy with a super kick followed by a second one against the turnbuckles. Buddy with a power bomb for a near fall.

Buddy misses a curb stomp and TJP with a Cloverleaf. Buddy tries to get to the ropes and TJP with a Regal Stretch. Buddy with an inside cradle for a near fall. TJP goes for the Detonation Kick but Buddy blocks it and hits a curb stomp for a near fall. Buddy goes for Murphy’s Law but TP escapes. Buddy with knees and then TJP gets to the turnbuckles to avoid a power bomb. Buddy sets for a belly-to-back superplex but TJP blocks it and then eh grabs the referee. TJP with an elbow and then he trips Buddy off the turnbuckles. TJP with a frog splash to the knee for a near fall. TJP with a heel hook and Buddy has to tap out.

Winner: TJP

We go to Cesar Duran in his office.

He says there is nothing more important to him that the health of his warriors. After the beating that he received at the hands of Richard Holliday, his champion has been impossible to reach. He says he received no response from Hammerstone for the concern he has for Hammerstone’s loyalty.

Cesar says with great regret, he says if Alex does not appear next week, the title will be vacated.
