3/17 STRONG KOBAYASHI MEMORIAL SHOW RESULTS FROM TOKYO, JAPAN

This show is dedicated to former two time IWA World Heavyweight Champion Shozo “Strong” Kobayashi who passed away on 12/31/21 at age 81. 

Ayako Sato pinned Maika Ozaki with a Fisherman’s Suplex in 7:13.

Fuminori Abe and Kendo Kashin beat Shogun Okamoto and Naoshi Sano when Abe submitted Sano in 9:08.

Jaguar Yokota and Kyoko Inoue beat Maya Yukihi and Haruka Umesaki when Yokota pinned Yukihi after a piledriver in 8:18.

A video was shown of the classic March 19, 1974 match with Strong Kobayashi vs. NWF Heavyweight Champion Antonio Inoki. It won the Tokyo Sports Best Bout Award in 1974. Inoki got the win with a dead lift German Suplex for the pin in 29:30.

Original Tiger Mask and others came out to the ring for the memorial ceremony of Kobayashi. They did the 10-Bell Salute.

Daisuke Sekimoto pinned Hayato Mashita with a German Suplex in 11:17.

Tiger Queen pinned Miyuki Takase after a Flying Heel Kick in 9:21. 

Super Tiger and Masakatsu Funaki went to a 30-minute time limit draw with Mitsuru Sato and Hideki Sekine.
