A number of those who work in and around professional wrestling have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to the late Scott Hall:
In 1993 you choose to take me under your wing in the business we call #prowrestling through the good times and bad I am a better person for being around you & having the pleasure to call you friend. Words cannot describe your meaning & ur impact on my life. I love you #ScottHall pic.twitter.com/hO1FdXruQP

For 30+ years Scott was many things to me —mentor, rival, etc; above all he was my friend. I never had a conversation w him that we didn’t either call each other “buddy” or joke about the “buddy system”.
— Jeff Jarrett (@RealJeffJarrett) March 15, 2022
Rest easy buddy…
I pray that you are at peace now. ????

He wore that shirt every week & had the rest of the nWo(Hulk,Dusty, Macho Man) always shout me out on live TV while I was out with a broken neck. Just one example of what a good friend he was. #RIPScottHall pic.twitter.com/eBCg7FoOH6

Scott Hall left wrestling a lot better than he found it - creatively and financially - it’s a better place for us now because of him.

So many prayers for Scott Hall and his family right now. The wrestling community is a very strong family and near or far, we have each others backs. Times like these are never easy but I do know there are so many incredible people waiting for you on the other side, ‘Bad Guy.’ ???? pic.twitter.com/KGTpWR44BR

I am so deeply saddened by the loss of Scott Hall, a singular talent and in my view, perhaps the greatest to ever preform in the squared circle.

I will miss you, my friend.
God speed. “Hey yo” https://t.co/oj5H3Co3s2
This is a very sad day. Scott Hall was one of the greatest wrestlers to compete in any era. When he walked on to Nitro on May 27, 1996 it changed wrestling. “Survey Says: May the Bad Guy Rest In Peace.” pic.twitter.com/YyI2O3BwB5

RIP Scott Hall. I had the good fortune of working on his 2014 HOF speech. I was a huge fan & requested to be his writer. We met to discuss the speech & he’d done his research - having watched a bunch of prior HOF speeches, he concluded, “Everyone talks way too damn much.” (1/5) pic.twitter.com/6xXjp1tGmN
— Stephen Guerrieri (@nerdwithwords) March 15, 2022
With HOF speeches, there’s no real time limit, so inductees generally soak up the spotlight as long as possible. But Scott didn’t want to drone on and on. He wanted his words to have impact and to leave the audience wanting more… (2/5)
— Stephen Guerrieri (@nerdwithwords) March 15, 2022
He laid out his speech… I helped with structure, but made very few suggestions - didn’t need to, it was all there - then we BS’d for the next hour. He ended up telling a bunch of crazy, hilarious stories that would’ve never made air anyway. He seemed to be in a good place. (3/5)
— Stephen Guerrieri (@nerdwithwords) March 15, 2022
Only took 4 minutes for him to give an instant classic HOF speech. Just before his go home line, the emotion of the moment overwhelmed him. It’s usually cut out of the clips shared on Twitter now, but it instantly conveys how much wrestling - and the fans - meant to him. (4/5)
— Stephen Guerrieri (@nerdwithwords) March 15, 2022
Working with him is one of my favorite memories from WWE. I’d been warned ahead of time that he might be difficult. He was the complete opposite. Bad times don’t last. But bad guys do. (5/5)
— Stephen Guerrieri (@nerdwithwords) March 15, 2022
If Scott Hall (& Kevin Nash) never made decisions they made the biz would never have changed. If there was no nWo they would be no bWo. They made the business better for everyone. I'm forever grateful for Scott's kindness to me. Rest In Peace Scott and most importantly thank you. pic.twitter.com/ONW5xWHEbv
