It is Friday, and it’s time for AEW Rampage, which was taped Wednesday in the Hertz Arena in Estero Florida after Dynamite. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Taz, and Ricky Starks.
Darby Allin vs Marq Quen
They lock up tentatively and Darby takes down Marq. Marq tries to kip up but Darby is able to keep him down. Marq keeps trying to get up, but Darby is able to keep him down with a side headlock. Marq finally turns it into an arm bar. Darby is able to work Marq out of the ring, and Isiah Kassidy steps between them so that Darby can’t leap onto him. When Darby gets out of the ring, Marq is able to launch him into the steel steps. Sting steps in so that they can’t double team Darby when he’s down.
Darby is tossed back in the ring and Marq drops him on the top rope. Marq keeps Darby down in the corner as well. Marq works over Darby in the corner and then preens to the camera. Marq keeps working Darby’s midsection in the corner. He then slaps on an abdominal stretch. Marq grabs the rope for more leverage, but the ref sees him and makes him let go of the rope, allowing Darby to get a hip toss and escape.
Marq is up first and drags Darby to the ropes. Darby is able to drop down to whiplash Marq on the rope and we go to picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, both men are up top and Darby hits a super plex on Marq and covers for a two. Darby gets an arm bar but Marq drives him to the corner and then tosses Darby off. Darby goes for a sunset flip, but Marq gets out of it and hits a back flip onto Darby and then covers for a two count. An impressive sequence that when from mat wrestling to high flying smoothly.
They go back to the corner, Marq gets whipped to the corner, and Marq stops Darby with a kick and then hits a back flip flatliner for a two count. Marq picks up Darby for a stalling suplex and Darby escapes and hits the Scorpion Death Drop, leaving both men down. Darby recovers first, goes to the top and Kassidy gets on the apron next to him. Sting pulls Kassidy down and tosses him into the time keeper’s table. Marq is able to get up while this happens and tosses Darby from the top to the floor with a stop on the top rope.
Marq goes to the top and hits a splash on Darby on the floor. Marq rolls into the ring and the ref keeps counting. Darby rolls in at the last second and Marq covers Darby for a two count. Marq goes to the top for a moon sault, but Darby dodges it and captures Marq’s arm in an arm bar. Marq has to tap out

Andrade and his crew come to the ring and Sting gets in the ring. Before they get to the ring, Matt and Jeff Hardy come out. Andrade’s team decides to leave through the crowd.
In the back, Dan Lambert is with Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky. He says that Wardlow has betrayed MJF the same way Larry Zbyszko betrayed Bruno, but he won’t win the TNT title from Scorpio Sky who is on the greatest winning streak ever seen.
We then get a video from the House of Black. They don’t talk about anyone in particular.
Mercedes Martinez vs Jamie Hayter
Martinez locks on a waist lock and takes down Hayter. Hayter is able to reverse is and they then trade waist locks. Hayter makes it to the ropes and the match resets. They lock up and force each other into the ropes. They end up in the corner and Martinez is able to deliver a series of shots. They go to the opposite corner and trade elbows with Martinez tossing elbows at Hayter. They keep fighting in the corner as they go picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Martinez hits a series of suplexes and covers for a two. Martinez tries for a fisherman’s buster and Hayter fights out, they struggle, throwing back elbows to each other, but Martinez hits a back breaker for a two count. They keep fighting, Martinez is tosses to the ropes and Hayter drops her with a loud blow. They fight in the corner and Martinez hits an overhead throw on Hayter into the turnbuckle.
They go to the top and Martinez hits a spider suplex from the top. Rebel gets on the apron to distract the ref, and Britt Baker takes advantage and nails Martinez with a series of strikes. Hayter hits a lariat and then covers Martinez for the three count.
Your winner: Jamie Hayter
Baker’s crew sets up to attack Martinez, but Thunder Rosa runs to the ring with a chair to chase them off.
We get a taped promo from Hikaru Shida who talks about how she never stopped thinking about Serena Deeb while she recovered from her injury. Strong promo from Shida.
Keith Lee vs QT Marshall
QT is already in the ring, so you know what that means. Powerhouse Hobbs joins the commentary team.
Lee drops QT with a head butt, and them picks him up while in a greco roman knuckle lock on one hand and drops him down. Lee then works QT to the corner and yeets him across the ring.; QT gets a guillotine on the ropes and a drop kick before a two count. QT starts striking Lee, but Lee ignores them. QT takes a clothesline and Lee picks him up. Nick Comorado grabs Lee’s boot and QT gets in a few kicks.
QT tries for a Diamond Cutter, but Lee stands his ground. They go to the ropes and Lee drops QT with a shoulder tackle. Lee then lifts him up and hits the modified attitude adjustment (Excalibur hasn’t given us its AEW name yet) and covers for the three.

Aaron Solow leaps onto Lee’s back, and Solow gets tossed. Comorado gets into the ring and Lee takes him out with a pop up power bomb. Solow gets yeeted into QT and Comorado outside the ring.
Hobbs and Starks gets into the ring to give a beat down, and Hobbs drops Lee with a spinebuster.
We get the main event interview between Swerve Strickland and Tony Nese. Nese is jealous of Swerve’s welcome.
Excalibur then shouts the card for Dynamite next week.
Swerve Strickland vs Tony Nese
Every time Nese goes in to lock up, Swerve grabs a body part and takes control. Nese is finally able to reverse a hold into an arm bar. Swerve gets a pair of hip tosses and Nese works his way to the ropes. They work corner to corner, and when Nese goes to run the ropes, Swerve rolls into his way, tripping him. As Swerve runs at Nese, Nese grabs the top rope for a low bridge, and Nese handsprings over it to land on his feet on the floor.
Swerve dodges a Nese’s attacks, and then drops him with a kick from the apron. Swerve tosses Nese into the ring and Nese grabs the apron and puts it over Swerve’s hear to get a strike in as we go to picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Nese has Swerve in a body scissors and Swerve is able to roll over to get a two count. Nese rolls up and keeps control. Tony keeps the body scissors on and they trade strikes until Swerve breaks free. They get to their feet and trade shots. Swerve tries a rolling attack, but Nese stops him with an uppercut. Nese then guillotine’s Swerve on the top rope and goes for a two rope moonsault, but Swerve dodges it.
Swerve chops Nese down and tosses him to the corner. He tosses Nese to the middle and hits a strike and then rolls into a brain buster for a two count. Swerve goes to the top and Nese stops him with a rising uppercut. Nese brings Swerve to the middle of the ring with a Fireman’s Carry, then drops him for a gut buster and a two count.
Swerve gets a sunset flip, but Nese rolls through and hits him with a roundhouse kick. Nese goes to the top for a 450 splash and a two count. Nese slaps at Swerve and Swerve retaliates. Nese goes for a pump handle slam, but Swerve counters into a tombstone, and Nese counters onto the apron. They fight on the spron and Swerve hits a foot stomp on Nese. Swerve brings Nese down with a face first slam for a two count. Swerve goes to the top and hits a stomp and covers for the three count.
