MLW FUSION REPORT: HAMMERSTONE VERSUS RICHARDS

We begin with a video package for the MLW World Championship match between Davey Richards and Alex Hammerstone and Richard Holliday’s dilemma.

Emilio Sparks sees Richard Holliday and Alicia Atout, but he does not have his phone with him. He walks up to Holliday and touches his suit and Holliday tells him not to touch it. Emilio asks Holliday if he is going to interfere and Alicia says she will handle the interview.

Holliday says he would love to be at ringside for tonight’s match but they have business with Cesar Duran and that is more important.

Match Number One: Calvin Tankman versus Alex Kane (with Mr. Thomas) versus ACH for the MLW National Openweight Championship

Kane and Tankman get face to face and ACH wants to get involved but Kane and Tankman push him away. Tankman punches ACH and Tankman with a shoulder tackle to Kane to send him to the floor. Tankman sets for a dive to the floor but ACH reminds Tankman he is in the match with a drop kick. Thomas trips ACH and Kane with a spear.

Kane goes back to the floor and he punches Tankman. Tankman sends Kane into the guardrails. Tankman chops Kane. Tankman sends Kane into the guardrails again and chops him one more time. Kane hits Tankman from behind and connects with forearms and a boot. Kane with a wrist lock on Tankman but Tankman with a back elbow. Tankman almost runs into the ring post but he stops short. Kane sends Tankman into the ring post. Kane runs into an elbow and ACH with chops. Kane with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to ACH.

Kane kicks ACH and chokes him. Kane with a German suplex and he gets a near fall. Kane with a clothesline to ACH in the corner. ACH with a waist lock when Kane misses a charge into the corner. Kane with a wrist lock and ACH with elbows. ACH with a leg sweep and kick followed by a dead lift German suplex on Kane. Tankman pushes ACH and ACH kicks Tankman off the apron. ACH goes for a pescado but Tankman with a forearm. Tankman with a back fist to Kane and a splash int the corner. Tankman with a spinebuster and he misses the back elbow. Kane with a leg trapped Saito suplex on Tankman. ACH with a cross body and Kane moves but Tankman catches him. Tankman hits Kane using ACH and Tankman with a buckle bomb of ACH into Kane. Tankman with a back breaker and Kane goes to the floor and ACH with a suicide dive to Kane.

ACH punches Tankman on the apron and goes up top. Tankman with a palm strike and he sets for a superplex but ACH stops him and goes for a sunset flip power bomb but Tankman does not go over. Tankman with a thrust kick to the leg. ACH goes for a Cloverleaf on Tankman and he tries to get him over but Kane with a thrust kick to ACH and a leg trapped belly-to-back suplex for the three count.

Winner: Alex Kane (retains championship)

We go to Emilio Sparks sneaking into the room where EJ Nduka is sitting. Emilio asks Nduka why is he there tonight and Nduka says he is here to watch the two title matches. Emilio asks what title is he looking at. Nduka says he has to watch the matches.

We see Ross and Marshall Von Erich walking down some stairs and they are attacked by Rivera and Slice Boogie. Rivera hits Marshall in the ankle with a chair.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a video package for Gangrel.

We go to Emilio Sparks with 5150. Julius Smokes says that everyone is afraid of them. Boogie tells everyone to keep talking because you aren’t doing anything. Rivera says they are sick of teams getting free passes into title matches. He says they want the biggest and best tag teams. They want teams that matter.

Boogie says they are going to take out the biggest guy in the locker room.

TJP says he wants to talk about the middleweight division. TJP mentions all of the titles he has held and the Junior Heavyweight Title is next. He says he will add the middleweight title to the list. He knows that Myron Reed is not as good as him. You will come to me to offer me a match. I am going to use the open door policy and he wants to face someone on the other side.

KC Navarro makes his way to the ring and he is attacked from behind by NZO. NZO Irish whips him into the guardrails a few times. NZO drops KC on the guardrail in an uncomfortable position. NZO runs Navarro into the ring post. NZO picks up Navarro and rolls him into the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back and NZO asks for a mic. He asks the referee to ask KC if he still wants to have the match.

KC says how you doin’ . . . bitch so the match is going to happen.

Match Number Two: NZO versus KC Navarro

NZO kicks Navarro and then sends him into the middle rope. NZO puts Navarro on the turnbuckles and then he hits a lungblower. NZO gets a near fall. NZO catapults Navarro’s throat into the bottom rope. NZO leaps onto the apron and punches Navarro. NZO gets a near fall when Navarro gets his hand on the ropes. NZO with Sole Food for the three count.

Winner: NZO

After the match, NZO takes the mic and he says he saw a meme the other day and it wasn’t one that makes you laugh. It was a child with a facial deformity and the child asked ‘Dad, am I ugly’. The father said ‘no, the world it ugly’. He tells KC not to trust anyone. He says it is a cold world. You have the word ‘blessed’ tattooed on your arm. You woke up today so you are blessed. Everyone in the building is blessed. Everyone in this ring has a gift. The gift is the thing that makes you different or special. If you know what it is, you better use it. NZO says he has a gift. He says he does not have a deformity or a handicap.

His gift is his ability to speak. He says that the biggest fear his friends have is public speaking. You might not like what people say. Maybe they were afraid to fail. You can’t have success without failure. If you want success, you have to make people feel you. They need to see you get your ass kicked. Life ain’t fair. Did you think I was going to give you a fair chance? It isn’t about wrestling moves, it is about how hard you get hit and how you respond. He says that KC has heart and you can’t teach heart.

NZO offers his hand and KC is about to shake it but NZO with a clothesline and Soul Food.

We are told that the tag title match has been postponed due to the injuries the Von Erichs suffered.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see footage of 5150 attacking EJ Nduka during a Meet and Greet.

Richard Holliday and Alicia Atout make their way to their seats in the front row.

Match Number Three: Davey Richards versus Alex Hammerstone for the MLW World Championship

They lock up and Hammerstone with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Richards trips Hammerstone and goes for an ankle lock but Hammerstone escapes. Hammerstone goes for a Nightmare Pendulum but Richards escapes and goes to the floor. Richards gets back into the ring and Hammerstone runs Richards into the corner and connects with a shoulder and chop. Hammerstone with an Irish whip and clothesline followed by a shoulder and chop. Hammerstone withan Irish whip and overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Richards goes to the floor and Hammerstone follows.

Alex with a punch and Irish whip into the guardrails. Hammerstone is about to charge at Richards but Holliday distracts Hammerstone and Richards is able to move and Hammerstone’s knee hits the guardrails. Richards with kicks to the chest. Richards puts the leg on the guardrail and Richards with a running boot to the leg. They return to the ring and Richards sedn Hammerstone into the turnbuckles and then he tries to put the leg on the ropes. Richards with a knee drop to the ankle. Richards goes for the leg and Hammerstone kicks him away. Richards goes for a Cloverleaf but he twists the knee into the mat.

Richards goes for a suplex but Hammerstone blocks it. Richards lands on his feet on a suplex attempt and Richards with a figure four leg lock. Hammerstone tries to turn over to reverse the hold but Richards maintains control of the hold. Richards with a Trailer Hitch. Hammerstone gets to the ropes to force a break.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Richards kicks Hammerstone’s leg in the ropes and then hits a drop kick to the leg. Richards with a kick to the back of the leg. Richards with another kick to the leg and Hammerstone goes down. Richards sets for a suplex but kicks Hammerstone and Hammerstone blocks the suplex. Richards with Kawada kicks and Hammerstone is not happy. Richards with more Kawada kicks and Hammerstone wants more. Richards with kicks to the chest and punches. Richards with a kick to the leg and then he hits a running kick to the chest.

Hammerstone sits up and Richards is in shock. Richards with a forearm and Hammerstone fires back. They continue the exchange. Richards with a boot to the head and a second one. Richards with kicks to the leg. Hammerstone presses Richards over his head and hits a uranage. Hammerstone with a clothesline into the corner but Richards with a kick. Hammerstone with clotheslines in the corner and he misses a splash. Richards with a dragon screw in the ropes and Richards goes up top. Richards misses a double stomp and rolls through. Hammerstone with an exploder into the turnbuckles for a near fall.

Richards goes to the apron as Hammerstone gets back to his feet. Hammerstone goes to the apron as well. Hammerstone sets for a suplex on the apron but Richards hlds on to the ropes to block it. Hammerstone with forearms to the back. Richards continues to blocks a suplex. Hammerstone with a thrust kick and Richards gets back into the ring and hits a dragon screw in the ropes.

Richards goes to the turnbuckles and hits a double stomp onto the apron and then Davey goes up top again and hits another double stomp but he can only get a ner fall. Richards with an ankle lock. Hammerstone kicks Richards away and Richards kicks Hammerstone in the chest. Hammerstone with a Nightmare Pendulum but he can only get a two count. Richards rolls to the floor. Hammerstone picks up Davey and rolls him back into the ring. Hammerstone goes for the Nightmare Pendulum but Richards with an inside cradle for a near fall. Hammerstone with a clothesline and a Torture Rack into a facebuster for a near fall. Hammerstone with the Nightmare Pendulum for the three count.

Winner: Alex Hammerstone (retains championship)

After the match, Holliday mocks Hammerstone after his victory.

Next week, we will see Rok-C versus Miranda Gordy and TJP versus Buddy Matthews.

Hammerstone leaves the ring and he sees Holliday and walks over to him. Holliday says it might have been Alex’s best performance. Hammerstone has some words for Alicia and Richards did not appreciate what he said.

Alicia sprays something in Hammerstone’s face and Holliday attacks Hammerstone. Holliday sends Hammerstone into the ring post and punches him while security does its best to do its job. Holliday continues to punch a bloody Hammerstone in his white suit.

Holliday escapes the grasp of security and goes after Hammerstone and Hammerstone fights back.

Holliday gets free and continues to punch Hammerstone.

Holliday has to be ‘held back’ while he screams.

Hammerstone is helped to the back, but he wants a piece of Holliday.
