Wrestlemania is a massive global spectacle, where many of the biggest names in professional wrestling square off in an incredible show. It is an annual event that brings out wrestling superstars competing for the opportunity to become the winner. It is the biggest event in professional wrestling, and it is now right around the corner. Whether you are a long-time wrestling fan or just want to get in on the action, there's a lot to know about the upcoming Wrestlemania.

While betting on wrestling hasn’t achieved the mainstream popularity betting on other sports has, it is still a popular and common practice. If you are looking to get started with Wrestlemania betting, there are options out there for you. Many of the best sports betting apps on the market will allow users to place bets on the spectacle. This way, you can enjoy Wrestlemania all the more. Whether you are betting or not, Wrestlemania is set to be a blast. Let’s look at all you need to know about this upcoming showcase.

Wrestlemania is an annual live event that happens between mid-March and April every year. There have so far been 37 iterations of this major show, with the upcoming one set to be the 38th. Wrestlemania is held by World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. or the WWE. It is one of the "Big Five," which are the five biggest wrestling events of the year. It has been called the Super Bowl of Sports Entertainment.

Wrestlemania is a pay-per-view event, so you won't be able to find it on your local cable channel. However, you can stream it through the WWE Network and Peacock, so it is still accessible to those that wish to enjoy it. Wrestlemania has broken records for sports attendance, with the biggest event featuring over 100,000 attendees. After a 2020 where Wrestlemania was held without fans in attendance and a 2021 where the capacity was limited, the 2022 iteration is a return to full force for the WWE.

The 2022 iteration of this event is Wrestlemania 38. This event is set to be a two-night spectacle for the ages, with WWE billing this event "The Biggest Wrestlemania Match of All-Time." Wrestlemania 38 will be set at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys. It will take place from April 2nd-3rd and feature the top wrestlers on the planet squaring off for a chance at wrestling glory.

The main event of this event will be the promotion's two World Championships being unified. The current belt-holders are Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, and these two wrestling legends will butt heads for the chance to be the undisputed champion. This is the third Wrestlemania that these two legends have been the main event. Wrestlemania will also feature the return of a legend.

After 19 years away from professional wrestling, one of the biggest names the WWE has ever had will be making his comeback. Stone Cold Steve Austin has announced his return for Wrestlemania 38, where he will fight against Kevin Owens. The 57-year-old Austin is poised to bring the boom and inject the crowd with energy, as he is one of the most beloved figures in the sport. In classic wrestling showman fashion, Austin is re-entering the ring to fight for the honor of the state of Texas, where the event is held, and Austin hails from after his opponent criticized the state.

Wrestlemania typically includes a large number of celebrity appearances, ranging from musical performances to actual celebrity wrestling. Big names from Aretha Franklin and Donald Trump to Shaquille O’Neal and Burt Reynolds have made appearances at these events, and it makes for an incredible show. Already, Johnny Knoxville has confirmed he will be entering the ring, as has former NFL player Pat McAfee.

Whether you are a fan of wrestling or not, one thing can’t be denied: the WWE knows how to put on a good show. There are a lot of different storylines the WWE has been building up in advance of this spectacular event, and there will certainly be some zany plot twists, as is the norm for professional wrestling. You can always bank on surprises at this event. If you are searching for a show for the ages, you should have April 2nd, and 3rd circled on your calendar, as Wrestlemania returns to full force for the first time since 2019.
