NUMEROUS TRADEMARK FILINGS FOR 'THE MIGHTY ATLAS'

A number of trademark filings have been made for "The Mighty Atlas",  the late Morris Shapiro, who performed under that name during his career working for a number of different NWA territories in the 1950s through the 1970s.

The trademark filings were for the following realms under goods and services:

-Licensing of intellectual property rights; Licensing of trademarks; Licensing of intellectual property in the field of trademarks, patents, trade dress, copyrights, trade secrets, and in personam rights relating to the name, image, and/or likeness of former (now deceased) wrestler Morris Shapiro, also known as the The Mighty Atlas

-Motion picture films about professional and amateur wrestling; Protective helmets; Protective helmets for sports; Safety helmets

-Hats; Leotards; Pants; Shirts; Shorts; Singlets; Socks; Sweaters; Underwear; Clothing for wear in wrestling games; Gym suits; Outer jackets; Sports jackets; Sports singlets

-Wrestling mats

-Dolls; Action figure toys; Action figures; Action figures and accessories therefor; Bendable toys; Dolls and dolls' clothing; Knee pads for athletic use; Plastic character toys; Playing pieces in the nature of miniature action figures and toy model vehicles for use with table top hobby battle games in the nature of battle, war and skirmish games, and fantasy games; Stuffed toys; Toy wrestling rings; Wrestling rings being sports equipment; Cases for action figures; Play sets for action figures; Toy action figures; Toy action figures and accessories therefor

-Streaming of audio, visual and audiovisual material via a global computer network; Streaming of professional and amateur wrestling and mixed martial arts audiovideo material on the Internet

-Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Production of films; Providing obstacle course training gym facilities; Providing online non-downloadable videos in the field of professional and amateur wrestling; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing entertainment information via a website; Providing sports information via a website; Rental of films

-Restaurant services; Restaurant and bar services, including restaurant carryout services.

Shapiro worked the WWA, NWA Mid-America, Hawaii's Big Time Wrestling and number of other territories from the era.  He passed away in 1999.
