WWE NXT UK REPORT: DRAGUNOV VS FRAZER, AND MORE

Your announcers are Andy Shepherd and Nigel McGuinness.

We begin with a video package for tonight’s NXT UK Men’s Championship match between Ilja Dragunov and Nathan Frazer.

Match Number One: Mark Coffey versus Sha Samuels

Samuels with knees and punches but Mark punches back. Mark with an arm drag but Samuels with a side head lock and take down. Mark with a forearm and arm bar. Samuels with a wrist lock and Mark with a standing switch. Sha holds on to the ropes on an O’Connor Roll attempt. Mark with a back elbow and wrist lock. Mark with a side Russian leg sweep and he starts to work on the shoulder. Mark with a back drop and Sha rolls to the floor.

Mark with a baseball slide to the floor that misses and Sha with punches and they return to the ring. Mark with forearms and chops followed by a back elbow. Sha with a slam and a European uppercut to the hamstring. Sha with elbows to the clavicle. Sha misses a kick to the back and they exchange forearms. Sha with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner followed by another clothesline.

Sha with a kick to the back and the suspenders go on. Mark with punches and Sha punches back. Sha with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Sha with a kick in the corner followed by a double sledge to the back. Sha with an arm wringer and an arm bar. Mark with punches but Sha adds more pressure to the arm bar. Sha misses a splash into the corner and Sha with boots to Mark. Sha misses a back senton from the turnbuckles. Mark with a clothesline and shoulder tackle. Mark with a forearm and running European uppercut into the corner. Mark with a running hip strike and a bulldog off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Sha with elbows and mark with elbows. Mark with a jumping round kick for a near fall. Sha with an exploder for a near fall. Mark with a snap mare and both men with clotheslines and they are down. Sha and Mark exchange punches. Mark with a full nelson slam and running European uppercut for the three count.

Winner: Mark Coffey

We see Nathan Frazer in the back as he prepares for his match against Ilja Dragunov.

We see A-Kid training earlier in the week and Charlie Dempsey asks A-Kid to talk to him for a minute. Charlie says he was watching A-Kid in the ring and he asks him to teach that technique to him. A-Kid refuses because he knows he will use it against him. Dempsey says he is not like Rohan and Teoman.

Teoman and Raja attack A-Kid and then Dempsey stops them and tells them he is not like that. Then he joins in the attack until security comes out to stop them.

We see Isla Dawn in her special magical place and she sings about winning the NXT UK Women’s Title while she plays iwht the flowers. She says she will stand tall.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at the end of last week’s Tag Title Match when Trent Seven pushed Ashton Smith’s leg off the rope without the referee seeing the leg on the ropes.

Trent and Tyler are asked how are they feeling after their win. Trent says it was their first successful defense as champions.

Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith come into the room and wants to know what happened.

Trent says they need to keep the titles. That was not trickery and he did what he had to do to win.

Ashton says you didn’t get it done the first time and they deserve another chance.

Tyler says Ashton has a point. He is a sucker for second chances. They have no problem giving them one more match.

Match Number Two: Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley versus Jack Starz and Dave Mastiff

Mastiff and Howley start things off . They lock up and Mastiff pushes Howley away. They lock up again and Mastiff backs Howley into the ropes and Howley pushes Mastiff. Howley with a side head lock and shoulder tackle but Masfif does not move. Stoker distracts Mastiff and Howley with a kick to the leg and a shoulder tackle. Stoker tags in they go for a double shoulder tackle. Mastiff with a double shoulder tickle and then Starz tags in. Starz with a kick and snap mare followed by a European uppercut to the back. Mastiff tags in and Mastiff with a European uppercut and forearms to the back. Mastiff with a slam and a back senton while Starz tags in and Starz with a slingshot splash for a near fall.

Starz with a forearm to the back and a European uppercut. Mastiff tags in and he Irish whips Stoker but Stoker with an elbow and Howley tags in and comes of the turnbuckles but is met with a punch to the midsection. Mastiff with a forearm to the back and a boot to the chest.

Starz tags in and he connects with a forearm to the back and he works on the arm. Howley with an Irish whip and Starz floats over and hits a few drop kicks followed by an arm drag into an arm bar. Starz gets a near fall. Howley goes for a slam and Starz escapes. Starz with an O’Connor Roll but Stoker makes the tag and Stoker sends Starz shoulder first into the ring post. Stoker runs Starz into the apron and then return to the ring.

Stoker kicks Starz. Howley tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle and a leg drop and splash combination for a near fall. Howley kicks Starz and connects with a forearm to the chest. Starz with punches and Howley with a knee. Stoker tags in and they hit a bulldog combination for a near fall. Stoker chokes Starz and Howley tags in and connects with a forearm to the back. Howley with knees to the back.

Stoker tags in and punches Starz. Stoker with a power slam for a near fall. Stoker with a reverse chin lock. Starz with forearms to Stoker and an elbow to Starz. Stoker with an elbow in the corner and Howley tags in. Mastiff punches Howley and Stoker does not know it so he catapults Starz to Howley but Howley is doubled over and Starz with a sunset flip for a near fall. Mastiff tags in and connects with back elbows. Mastiff with a back drop. Howley with elbows but Mastiff with a back drop. Stoker tags in and Stoker with DDT. Howley takes Starz’ vest and tosses it to Stoker who puts it on.

Mastiff with a forearm to Howley and a German suplex to Stoker. Starz yells at Mastiff to tag him in.

Starz with European uppercuts and he rips off the cut and puts it on. Starz with a flying shoulder tackle and running European uppercut. Starz with forearms in the corner . Starz sends Howley to the floor. Stoker with a kick and he goes for a power bomb but Starz counters with a power bomb of his own for the three count.

Winners: Jack Starz and Dave Mastiff

We see Ilja Dragunov making final preparations for his match against Nathan Frazer.

We see Xia Brookside throwing a fit in the stairs. Xia makes a call to her dad to complain about Sid Scala saying that her loss was her fault. Xia says she wanted to know if he could help her since she knows someone and if they can help him. Xia thanks her dad and then she realizes that they were filming her phone call.

We go to the woods and he says he trusted him. They were part of a pack and you left me to rot. I survived and skulked away and survived. There was a time when I thought I would just rot and fade away. I did everything I could to survive. To you, the hunt is over but to me the huNt has just begun.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a video package for the Heritage Cup between Joe Coffey and Noam Dar. Dar says Joe has made the mistake of falling into the Supernova’s lane. Joe says Noam will be very confident. Noam tells Joe to stop playing with his paper family. He says it is a big fight feel and you have the champ’s attention. Joe says they will look eye to eye to see who really wants it. Noam says no one has put more time into this title. Will this be another big time failure for Joe? Joe says there will be one outcome . . . G.B.O.T.

In addition to the Heritage Cup match, Charlie Dempsey will face A-Kid.

Match Number Three: Ilja Dragunov versus Nathan Frazer for the NXT Men’s Championship

They lock up and Dragunov with a wrist lock and arm wringer. They lock up and Dragunov with a suplex and a side head lock. Frazer backs Dragunov into the corner and Frazer with a side head lock. Dragunov with a take down into a side head lock. Dragunov holds on when Frazer tries to send him off the ropes. Dragunov with a shoulder tackle and then he slams Frazer. Frazer kicks Dragunov and then flips over Dragunov and hits a flying forearm. Frazer with a drop kick and then he is sent to the apron. Frazer with a forearm and he leaps over Dragunov from the turnbuckles. Frazer with forearms and Dragunov fires back and sends Frazer to the mat. Dragunov with knee drops.

Dragunov with a forearm to the temple. Dragunov with a Cobra Clutch followed by a forearm. Dragunov backs Frazer into the corner and connects with chops. Dragunov with an Irish whip but Frazer with a boot and Frazer goes for a springboard move but sees Dragunov move so he stays on the apron. Dragunov with a knee and a hip toss to bring Frazer back into the ring. Dragunov with a back elbow for a near fall.

Dragunov returns to the Cobra Clutch. Dragunov with a clothesline. Frazer lands on his feet when Dragunov pulls him off the mat and hits an enzuigiri. Frazer goes up top and Dragunov pulls him off the turnbuckles. Dragunov with a German suplex and holds on for a second one. Dragunov goes for a third one but Frazer lands on his feet. Frazer goes for a springboard move but Dragunov moves and catches Frazer and hits a German suplex for a near fall. Dragunov with a back senton and he returns to the Cobra Clutch. Frazer with a super kick and a rana for a near fall. Dragunov with a wist lock and Frazer with a standing switch. Frazer with a springboard moonsault into a reverse DDT and both men are down. Dragunov with a chop to the back of the leg followed by a forearm.

Frazer with a forearm and Dragunov with an enzuigiri. Frazer with a sleeper but Dragunov backs Frazer into the turnbuckles and snap mares Frazer. Dragunov misses an elbow drop. Frazer with a sling blade. Frzer with a forearm and Dragunov fires back but he holds his right elbow. Frazer and Dragunov go back and forth with forearms. Dragunov with a chop but he uses his injured arm. Frazer with a series of super kicks for a near fall. Frazer goes up top and Dragunov chops Frazer. Dragunov with a press slam but Frazer rolls through. Both men go for clotheslines and the same time and Dragunov with a Konstantin special into a clothesline. Dragunov goes up top and Frazer with an enzuigiri.

Frazer sets for a Frankensteiner but Dragunov blocks it, but Frazer hits the Frankensteiner followed by a Phoenix Splash for a near fall. Frazer with forearms but Dragunov with a power bomb for a near fall. Dragunov with a forearm to Frazer on the mat for a near fall. Frazer kicks Dragunov in the forearm. Frazer with punches. Frazer with an elbow and German suplex. Dragunov with a clothesline and he slaps Frazer. Dragunov with Torpedo Moscow for the three count.

Winner: Ilja Dragunov (retains championship)

After the match, Dragunov offers his hand to Frazer and he pulls him up. They shake hands.
