It is Wednesday and AEW is back at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida for Dynamite. Our commentary team is Jim Ross, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone and do we start with a match, a promo, or a huge announcement?
My guess for the big announcement was a New Japan/AEW SuperShow or the return of Glacier. Hey, they always said our world was about the change.
Tony Schiavone is in the ring with Tony Khan to start the show. He tanks us for keeping things going through the pandemic. He hypes Revelation as being the biggest week in the company. He then brings up Ring of Honor and he is the new owner of Ring of Honor. He reminds us Christopher Daniels was in the main event of the first ROH show, as is another man in that main event, Bryan Danielson.
So, I was wrong.
Bryan comes to the ring and Tony has left the ring.
Bryan Danielson vs Christopher Daniels
The shake hands the Code of Honor is adhered to. Bryan takes Daniels down and Daniels works back up to his feet and they exchange arm bars. They pause and let the audience take it in, then runt he ropes and Daniels knocks Bryan down twice with shoulder blocks. They shake hands again.
Bryan is able to take down Daniels and then brings him up with an arm bar. They run the ropes and Bryan begins working Daniel’s arm. Bryan goes to the outside and Daniels hits a baseball slide and then a moonsault from the ropes. When they return to the ring, Daniels leaps into a Bryan kick. Bryan is able to keep working over Daniels, using kicks to keep him on the mat. He then locks in a bow and arrow hold, and Daniels is able to grab a rope for the break.
They trade chops and Bryan runs the ropes into a blue thunder bomb from Daniels. Daniels gets a shoulder tackle, but runs into a knee. Daniels is able to get the cross arm toss from the top for a two count. Bryan escapes the Angel’s Wing, and then Bryan works him over in the corner. He moves Daniels to the top and Daniels fights his way free and hits a diving cross body. Bryan rolls through for a two count, Daniels counters and gets a two count. They trade two counts with counters.
This leads to them throwing hands in the middle of the ring. Bryan wins with a final slap and a rolling elbow that leads to a two count. Bryan goes to the top and Daniels knocks him down. Bryan fights back and is able to push off Daniels Hurrancanrana. Bryan leaps into a slam by Daniels, and Daniels tries for the Best Moonsault Ever, but Bryan is able to grab him into the triangle choke. Daniels passes out.
Your winner: Bryan Danielson
Danielson has the mic and talks about how they used to start matches with a handshake and ended matches with a handshake. He asks the crowd to cheer for Daniels. He then says he’s not in Ring in Honor, he’s in AEW and it’s time to kick someone’s head in. He grab Daniels’s arms and stomps his head. He then tells Jon Moxley that the head that’s going to be stomped in is his.
Jon Moxley comes out from the crowd. He circles the ring and grabs a mic. He says he can see that Bryan is better and more violent than ever. However, he has it wrong. Mox says he can take two paths right now. On one path, he gets his head knocked in and he’s never heard from again. He then chooses to walk another path through everything, including through Bryan, and he will beat the American Dragon, Bryan Danielson. His story is just starting, and the first chapter will be written in blood. He says if Bryan wants to prove him wrong, take his shot right now.
Bryan drops his mic.
Bryan drops his mic and acts as if he will fight, then rolls out of the ring.
We then get Sting and Darby talking about their triple threat match on Rampage Friday.

He goes over the terrible things MJF has done in his time at AEW. He says there is nothing he can say more impactful than what he can do. He calls out MJF or a conversation, and MJF comes out alone without music. Punk goes over the terrible things he has done and says all that hate will burn him up. He says respect isn’t given, its earned. He then says it’s about that 11 year old kid looking up to MJF the way MJF looked up to him. Punk says he asked himself if he was the good guy, and his answer is: he sure is trying.
He holds out his hand for MJF to shake. MJF pushes aside Punk’s hand and hugs him. Punk doesn’t reciprocate and just looks shocked for a bit and then he does join in the hug. MJF then gives Punk a low blow followed by a heat seeker.
MJF calls out Wardlow and Shawn Spears with the dog collar and the Diamond ring. MJF is wearing a shirt with the pic of him as a kid with Punk. FTR keeps security away as MJF beats down Punk, who has been busted open. Spears slaps on the dog collar and MJF grabs a mic.
MJF calls him a stupid old man. He says he’s a snake, the greatest trick the devil ever did was convincing people he didn’t exist, and he will show he is the greatest devil ever. Spears then hangs Punk with the dog collar.
Sting, Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara come to the ring to run of the Pinnacle.
In the back, Tony is with Keith Lee and Ricky Starks interrupts. Keith says if he interrupts again, they won’t be enough of him left to do anything. Starks then says that if Keith shows on Rampage, they won’t be enough left of him to make it to Revolution.
