You’re going to learn what it’s like to have HEART. pic.twitter.com/Xp04Ey08V8
I’m back from the land of Mexico and a LOT happened last week while I was gone Well, at least they are warning me that I have to watch a Ray Jaz match later. Tonight is also notable for the arrival of one DIRTY DANGO, who conducted a seminar earlier in the day that I heard was awesome.
Spotlight Match: Tony Vincita vs JP Grayson
Tony is all meat and thinks JP is slim pickings. He beats up JP for a while, working the crowd well until Grayson starts to fire back. Tony with a roaring elbow to the back of the head as JP tries a handspring back elbow ends this! Good crowd control from Tony! I guess I need to be cheering JP in this impending feud with Tommy?
Winners Tony Vincita
And we’re liiiiiive on IWTV! It appears that Denver Colorado has gotten over his overwhelming sadness at the loss of Uncharted Territory and has decided to join stalwart commentary machine Paul Crockett at the desk tonight. Rich Palladino is your announcer! Let’s gooooo!
Match 1: Dirty Dango & Mo Jabari vs Waves & Curls (Traevon Jordan & Jaelyn Brandyn)
The crowd was hot for the arrival of Mr. Dango but exploded for Waves & Curls. What a matchup! Jaelyn & Jabari lock up early and trade positions and pin attempts quick. Good hot start and a handshake of respect at the kip up. Dango and Traevon get in and it’s a battle of hip power that faints Dango flat. He can’t handle the raw energy of Jordan early but cuts the big man down with a dropkick. Dango eats an atomic drop and springboard lariat from
Brandyn for two! Dirty Dango double teamed and can’t hang with the men from your baby mama’s dreams. Dango kicks of Brandyn, plants Jordan with a DDT. Jabari gets the tag and cleans house. Brandyn slammed onto Jordan. Jabari off the top for two. He tries a backstabber but Traevon holds the ropes. Waves & Curls hit the Wave Check before Dango can make the save! Count him down! Good sportsmanship between the teams, this was a load of fun to kick off the night.
Winners: Waves & Curls
Heading into tonight’s #WrestlingOpen after two straight losses, @T_Taylor347 has some STRONG words about his match tonight! pic.twitter.com/LAJdW9kelm

Match 2: “The Prize” Alec Price vs “The Big Boy from Brooklyn” Tyree Taylor
The ACE chants are loud for Price tonight…as are the GAHBIDGE jeers. Taylor doesn’t have the best record at Wrestling Open but he should be a stiff test. Tyree REAAAAALLLLLY wants to hit Price with his very large chain. About half the audience would have loved that. Price clowning but he doesn’t want to feel power. Tyree with a kip up and snatches the ankle. Tyree catches a leapfrog into a great uranage. Price uses the cameramen as obstacles and gets a cheap shot on Tyree. Taylor posted but ain’t dead. Disaster kick from Price chops down the big man. Price coming for the kill but Taylor punches him out of the sky. Price off the rope, Tyree catches him with anhuuuuuuge falcon arrow for a close two. Price turned inside out with a lariat! The crowd pops hard for Tyree on these spots. Price fights out of powerbomb, flying double stomp but Tyree walks through it. Price tries again and Tyree catches him again. Price tosses up and he comes back down with a double stomp from the heavens. One su-prize kick later and Tyree is down for the three. This was f***ing great. Holy hell I loved this.
Winner: Alec Price
Price on the mic and says he’s the only
Hoss in the territory. He’s the Ace and is back to put boots to faces. Also he called us Worcester Worms again, as he is oft to do.
Match 3: JC Storm vs Davienne
Storm’s light up cloud IS pretty cool but she’s about to get dropkicked through a post. Davienne getting paid before the bell rings again, dollars for Davi y’all. They trade wristlocks, Storm doing a good job of rolling out of trouble. Wheelbarrow arm drag has Davi reeling. Storm tries it again but Davi just slams her face first into the mat. Chest chops and corner splash. Storm with a jaw breaker and a head scissor, corner lariat! Da winner kicks out! Cutter for two! Storm can’t get a fireman’s carry, Davi with the air raid crash. Storm hits a spear for two. Davi rolls through a sunset flip into a Boston crab. She sinks it back and Storm has to tap out.
Winner: Davienne
Last week, Unsteady Teddy proved to the world what a criminal he really is. He assaulted me and besmirched the WORLD CLASS brand. Have no fear. @SBakabella and I are working to make sure the @WrestlingOpen workspace culture changes for the better! pic.twitter.com/MdIwaICQeU
— World Class Channing Thomas (@ChanThomasPro) February 24, 2022
Everyone need to take two steps back from the ring because it’s time for Sidney Bakabella to arrive. Where Bakabella goes, Channing Thomas is soon to follow. They have a restraining order against Ted Good after his ambush last week. They forgot to get one against Little Mean Kathleen though. LMK is here and she has a match next week…AGAINST SIDNEY BAKABELLA!!!! Channing Thomas is banned from ringside! They are livid as the crowd chants “World Ass” at them!
SIDNEY BAKABELLA GETS TO WRESTLE NEXT WEEK??? #WrestlingOpen pic.twitter.com/RZsRWI9nNM

Match 4: “The Cobra” Arjun Singh vs Bobby Orlando (w/ Bobby Jr)
Orlando is full baby face mode tonight against the Cobra. Singh is aggressive but Bobby chops him up with his sick tricks. Singh rakes the eye…uppercuts Bobby out of the sky. Huge flurry of chest kicks on the ropes and Bobby’s out at two. Big powerslam for another near fall. Bobby out, drops Arjun, huge top rope elbow with a mid-air dab for two! Bobby hits a cutter for the win!
Winner: Bobby Orlando
Orlando on the mic. He’s mad that Mortar isn’t here tonight, after he attacked Orlando at the end of the match. Mortar crossed the line when he tore up a defenseless Bobby Junior Junior. The mission for revenge has begun. Be shook, Mortar. The crowd is fire for this.
Match 5: “The Destroyer” Vargus vs Rex Lawless
Time for some big beefy boys to slap some meat. They trade shoulder blocks. Vargus tries to hit a lariat but Lawless boots the arm away. Vargus reverses in the corner with a series of headbutts. Vargus escapes a slam and clubs Rex hard. Rex can’t hit the chokebomb. Pop up headbutt from Vargus. Pop up punch! 360 boot to the face! Chokebomb ends Vargus’ night quickly!
Winner: Rex Lawless
It’s promo night! Rex Lawless wants a piece of the Ace. Alec Price thinks he’s a hoss? Next week he can prove it to Rex.

Match 6: Miracle Generation (Dustin Waller & Kylon King) & Ichiban vs Marcus Mathers, Austin Luke & Reid Walker
This should be an exciting one! Mathers dons a bandana and goes mask for mask with Ichiban…we like them both here. Great trades between Walker and King. Austin in with some heavy chest kicks. King with a reversal head kick and suplex. Ichiban in but Mathers tries to cut it off. Ichiban eats a spin kick and begins to take all the heat from his opponents. Ichiban fights off, tag to Waller, miracle Generation lays the beatdown. Blind tag by Austin. Blindside boot to Waller, King fighting. Double dragon screw to miracle generation. Austin with a flying kick. Waller with a Handspring cutter. Mathers with a corkscrew facebuster. Mathers and Luke hit Chasing the Dragon on King! What a slap in the face! Waller and Ichiban cut them off. Ichiban dives out to Mathers and Reid. Power plex to Austin Luke by Miracle Generation for the pin! Hot high energy match. Mathers wants more and gives his opponents a shove post match. He’s not done. Well..for THIS week he is.
Winner: Miracle Ones

Match 7: The Mane Event (Midas Black & Jay Lyon) vs Brick City Boyz (JCruz & Victor Chase)
BCB packing a chair out to the ring for this grudge match. This turns into a brawl right at Mane Event’s entrance. Lyon and Cruz battling it out blow for blow in the ring. Midas fends off Chase at ringside and comes to help his partner. Lyon has the chair! Lyon armdragged into a chair assisted cannonball! Chase has Midas’ ringmaster’s cane and saves Cruz! They make Lyon hit the splits. Midas back and Lyon bombs BCB together on the apron! Cruz Germaned and Sabu’d. Chase eats a plethora of kicks and knees! Double superkick into the chair face on Chase for two! Cruz fighting two on one! Discus lariat to Midas! Midas eats a chair! Chase boots Lyon! Brain buster into the chair! Midas double stomps to save! This match is bananas. Cruz and Midas going toe to toe. Cobra clutch slam! Chase blasts Midas in the back of the head with a heavy backpack and Midas is down for the three! Chase opens the backpack! It’s full of bricks! They lay some bricks on his chest and walk out as Lyon tries to tend to his fallen partner. The refs have to literally drag Midas to the back. This was awesome.
Winners: Brick City Boyz
Thank you for poisoning my feed with Ray Jaz before noon. ????

Get ‘im, Cupid Douglas.#WrestlingOpen https://t.co/SQjoS8CryY
Main Event: “The Shore Thing” Ray Jaz vs Love Doug
Save me from future Ray Jaz matches, Cupid Douglas. Anyways the f***ing Jaz tip of the day is “if you’re not first, you’re last”. Apparently love doesn’t get your hand raised. Doug just tells Ray to SHUT UP. Ray Jaz powders immediately like the coward he is…but he won’t stop smiling. He lets Doug take a headlock and immediately deposits the young lover on the top buckle. Doug tries the headlock again and has better luck this time until Jaz forces a break in the corner….and of course it isn’t clean. Doug with a step away dodge and tries the rebound lariat but runs into dropkick. Ray stomps him out, saying that all Doug is good for is giving up. Big back suplex and Jaz is fully confident and I can’t stop throwing up in my mask. Ray Jaz is getting some Ken Doane in Worcester heat here. Doug trying to fight back with the crowd willing him on but Jaz has this match slowed to a punishing crawl of pain. Jaz carries Doug out of the corner with a slam for another near fall. Jaz tries for the cradle powerbomb…Doug with a head scissor takedown! Jaz eats a double knee! Doug throwing punches! Flying forearm! Huge bulldog out of the corner! WE LOVE DOUG! Jaz tries to pop up but eats a slingshot back elbow! Doug with the cravat and flips over with a neckbreaker for two. Jaz dodges the rebound clothesline, he rolls up Doug. FEET WELL ON THE ROPE THIS CHEATING POS and Ray Jaz gets the pin…
Winner: Ray….Jaz….
-_-
OK SO, my own biases against one Raymond Jazzington the 0th aside, this was a really good show. From the super fun open to that bananas Price/Taylor match, to the world trash promo, to the wild 6-man, to the very good no-DQ and yes, even to the main event. We’re building stories and stars week over weeks. This crowd was bigger than I remember a couple weeks back and absolutely on fire. WAS there another show on Thursdays? I forget.
I can't wait to see how big @WrestlingOpen will be by summer. A new idea + hard work = something special.

Next week, it’s Price vs Lawless & Bakabella vs LMK & Hopefully Ray Jaz in a blindfold match with a wood chipper. Until then!
Nice try, Sidney. You should review the contracts you sign a little better. Your contract as a manager also states you are available to wrestle if Open officials deem it necessary. THIS is necessary. Good luck against @LILMEANKATHLEEN next week! https://t.co/VKZRYF4qoN
