CALGARY HITMEN TO HONOR BRET HART THIS WEEKEND, FULL DETAILS

The following was announced:

The Calgary Hitmen in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Centre announced today that the 2nd Annual Game to honour their namesake is happening on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at 2:00 PM. They also announced the details of the “Battle at the Dome II” a postgame wrestling match put on by the Hitmen and PWA (Prairie Wrestling Alliance). A ring will be set up on the ice where five matches between PWA’s best will take place.

The Club also unveiled a special themed jersey to be worn at the Bret “Hitman” Hart game presented by Romero Distilling. The jerseys were modelled by Bret Hart himself as well as the Hitmen players in this morning’s press conference.

Committed to the longstanding relationship and supporting the cause, the Calgary Hitmen will donate all proceeds from sales of the jerseys to the Prostate Cancer Centre.

Linda MacNaughton, Director of Resource & Community Development at the Prostate Cancer Centre extended our gratitude for the community support, “as a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of events like these to continue providing support to individuals with prostate cancer in Alberta.” She also highlighted the importance to #getchecked early. “1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point of their lives. If detected early, it is treatable.”
