NJPW STRONG REPORT: JAY LETHAL VS. JAY WHITE & MORE

Match Number One: Eddie Pearl and Ricky Gibson versus DKC and Kevin Knight

Gibson and Knight start things off and they lock up. Knight gets away from a wrist lock and Pearl tags in. Pearl wants DKC and Knight obliges. Pearl with a chop and DKC with a chop of his own. Pearl seeks the consolation of his partner. DKC with a take down into a side head lock. DKC with a front face lock and a waist lock. Pearl with a knee but DKC with chops. Knight tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle followed by a double hip toss to Gibson.

Knight with a suplex for a near fall. Knight with a European uppercut and he tags in DKC. DKC with kicks in the corner followed by a snap mare and kick to the back. DKC gets a near fall. DKC with chops. DKC misses a back fist and then he fights out of the corner. Gibson tags in and DKC gets a sunset flip on Pearl. Gibson with a shoulder from the apron and he tries for a sunset flip on DKC but DKC holds on to the ropes. Pearl with a side Russian leg sweep into the sunset flip for a near fall.

Gibson gets a near fall. Gibson with an arm bar and knee drop to the arm. Gibson with a Fujiwara arm bar. Pearl tags in and hits a double sledge off the turnbuckles. Pearl with an arm bar. DKC with a knee bar and Pearl gets to the ropes. Pearl with an Irish whip and Gibson tags in. Gibson with a head butt to the back. Gibson with an arm bar. Pearl tags in and hits an elbow drop to the back.

The referee sends Knight back to the apron. Pearl with an elbow drop but he misses a second one. Gibson tags in and gives DKC a hard Irish whip. Gibson with an arm bar. Pearl tags in and goes up top and DKC pulls Gibson into the way for an elbo. Pearl knocks Knight off the apron and hits a back elbow on DKC for a near fall. Pearl with punches. DKC with punches and Pearl with a knee. DKC with a leg lariat and both men are down. Knight and Gibson tag in and Knight with forearms and a Irish whip. Knight with a splash into the corner followed by a slam and splash for a near fall. Pearl tries to break up the cover and connects with an elbow drop onto Gibson. Knight with forearms to Pearl followed by a drop kick. DKC tags in and DKC with a sunset flip to Gibson thanks to help from a Knight clothesline. DKC with punches to Gibson and Knight tags in. Knight with a chop. Gibson with a rollup and a handful of the ropes for the three count.

Winners: Ricky Gibson and Eddie Pearl

Match Number Two: Fred Rosser versus Gabriel Kidd

They lock up and Kidd with a kick on the break. They lock up and Rosser with a side head lock. Kidd backs Rosser into the ropes. Rosser with a shoulder tackle but Kidd does not move. Kidd tells Rosser to try again and he gets the same result. Kidd with a few attempts and he cannot move Rosser. Rosser with a kick and side head lock. Rosser with a shoulder tackle. Rosser with a side head lock and Kidd with a Saito suplex. Rosser with a clothesline and both men go to the floor.

They return to the ring and Kidd has some words for Rosser and then Kidd with a forearm. Rosser with a forearm. They go back and forth until Rosser gains the advantage. Kidd with forearms and one to the back. Rosser with punches and forearms. Kidd with an uppercut. Rosser with forearms and a head butt. Kidd with a forearm and jumping head butt and a punch. Rosser with a head butt. They continue with forearms. Kidd with a chop and he connects with another one. Rosser with a chop and Kidd puts his hands behind his back for Rosser to chop him many more times. They go back and forth with sweat flying off their chests.

They continue with the chop exchange. Rosser with a punch and chops. Rosser sends Kidd to the mat. Rosser with chops and clotheslines in the corner. Kidd with punches and chops in the corner. Rosser with a chop and more clotheslines. Rosser with a forearm and Kidd with forearms in the corner. Kidd with ap unch and he sits down in the center of the ring. Rosser sits down next o him and they slap each other. Rosser with a head butt and Kidd with punches. Rosser with punches.

Kidd with slaps and Rosser with slaps and head butts. Rosser with a chop and Kidd slaps Rosser and punches him. Kidd with more slaps. Rosser with a double knee gutbuster on Kidd. Both men go for clotheslines at the same time and Rosser follows with clotheslines to the front and back. Rosser with a series of Northern lariats but Kidd with a clothesline for a near fall. Kidd with a brainbuster for a near fall. Kidd goes for a Tiger Driver but Rosser blocks it and Kidd with forearms and a slam. Kidd misses a moonsault and Rosser with a flying boot to the temple. Rosser with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Rosser gets Kidd up and hits a running Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Rosser tries to pick up Kidd but Kidd collapses to the mat. Rosser with Emerald Frosion for the three count.

Winner: Fred Rosser

After the match, Gabriel Kidd takes the mic and he says you win some times and you lose some times. What is really important is that logo. That is what brought everyone in this room together. Kidd thanks everyone for coming out. He says they are the best wrestling company on the planet. He thanks Defy for letting them in their house.

Match Number Three: Jay White (with Hikuleo) versus Jay Lethal

White has some words for Lethal before locking up. They lock up and White backs Lethal into the corner. White with a shoulder on the break and a side head lock. White with a series of side head lock take downs. Lethal with a front face lock into a side head lock. White with a head scissors. Lethal escapes the head scissors and White with a side head lock. Lethal with a hip toss and cartwheel into a drop kick. Lethal with a springboard drop kick to knock White off the apron.

Lethal sets for a suicide dive but Hikuleo gets in the way. Lethal goes to the floor and drop kicks White. Lethal sends White back into the ring and Lethal gets a near fall. White goes to the apron. White drops Lethal on the top rope but Lethal gets White up on his shoulders. White escapes and hits a DDT. White wends Lethal into the turnbuckles and then connects with shoulders. Lethal with a chop and White with an Irish whip. Lethal tries to float over but White does not charge into the corner. After a series of standing switches, White hits a Saito suplex. White kicks Lethal in the head.

Lethal blocks a kick and White goes for a DDT but Lethal counters with a back body drop. Lethal blocks a kick and connects with a clothesline. White goes to the floor.

Lethal with a forearm to knock White off the apron. The fans know what is coming and they move out of the way of a suicide dive. Lethal goes up top and sets for the elbow but he sees White put his boot up so Lethal lands on the mat and goes for a figure four leg lock but White with an inside cradle for a near fall. Lethal with a back breaker and he gets White up in a torture rack and a reverse Finlay slam. Lethal goes up top and hits the elbow drop for a near fall.

Lethal sets for a suplex but White blocks it. Lethal with punches and White and Lethal block suplex attempts and they get closer to hitting it. White with a back elbow and a flatliner. White with a dead lift German suplex. White with a clothesline into the corner followed by a twisting suplex for a near fall. White sets for a uranage but Lethal with elbows. White with knees to the midsection. Lethal with a rollup and a bicycle kick and a spinning heel kick.

White goes to the floor and Lethal follows. Lethal with a chop. They return to the ring. White goes for Blade Runner but Lethal escapes. Lethal holds his knee and the referee checks on him. White goes to the floor but the referee holds White back. Lethal holds his knee and the referee explains the situation to White. Lethal with chops but White with a drop kick to the knee. White pulls the referee out of the way and he kicks Lethal. The referee pulls White out of the way. The referee checks on Lethal. Lethal struggles to get back to his feet. White with a knee breaker in the corner.

Lethal with a super kick and both men are down. Lethal with a figure four leg lock and White struggles to get to the ropes or out of the hold. Lethal pulls White into the center of the ring. White gets to the ropes and forces Lethal to release the hold. White with a chop and Lethal chops back. Both men limp as they continue the exchange. White with a forearm and Lethal fires back. They continue the exchange. Lethal with a cutter and then Lethal sets for the Lethal Injection but White moves. Lethal with a rollup for a near fall. Lethal with a rollup for a near fall. Lethal goes for Lethal Injection but White clips Lethal and follows with a sleeper suplex. White with another sleeper suplex. Lethal with Blade Runner for the three count.

Winner: Jay White

After the match, Hikuleo takes the mic and hands it to Jay. White tells Lethal that was a long time coming. Now it is one for Lethal and one for White. If you want to have a rubber match, maybe we can do it in AEW. When you are ready or if you are ever ready, but you are old news. It is time to talk about the future. In the future, I predict the US of Jay challenge remains open. Who will step up and accept his invitation next? There are a lot of free agents out there because they are not good enough to keep a job. Nobody can measure up to him. Step up to your opportunity.
