Sami Zayn captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship on last night's edition of Friday Night Smackdown, which was taped on 2/11 in New Orleans.
The majority of the commentary for the episode was voiced over by Michael Cole and Corey Graves earlier Friday while in Saudi Arabia. We are told this was done to insure that the show didn't feel dated in case there were any late changes to the Elimination Chamber PPV.
Pat McAfee was in Hawaii earlier this week. We are told the plan is for him to return on next week's episode from Hershey, PA. Locally advertised for that taping is Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre plus appearances from Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey.
During last night's Smackdown episode, it was announced that Big E will be driving the pace car at the Daytona 500 race this Sunday. The race will air this Sunday on FOX starting at 1:30 PM EST.
