JOHN CENA TO STAR IN LIVE-ACTION LOONEY TOONS MOVIE, WHAT THIS COULD MEAN FOR WRESTLEMANIA 38

By Mike Johnson on 2022-02-16 16:58:00

John Cena will star in a live action-CGI Looney Toons film about the incredibly inventive and eternally unlucky Road Runner hunter, Wile E. Coyote, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film, Coyote vs Acme, will tell the tale of "a down-on-his-luck (human) attorney who takes on Wile E. as a client in his suit against Acme over its defective products, only to discover that his boss at his former law firm is representing Acme."

Cena will play Coyote's former boss at Acme.

Production is slated to begin late March in New Mexico, which could restrict John Cena's involvement in Wrestlemania 38 in terms of actively wrestling.  However, unlike last year when he was in Canada and COVID-19 quarantine concerns prevented him from being part of Wrestlemania 37 in Tampa, the proximity of New Mexico to Texas leaves the door of possibility open for Cena to at least appear live as part of WWE's biggest weekend of the year, so long as it doesn't impact the shooting schedule for Coyote vs. Acme.
